    Please help!

I’m struggling with anger issues over things I can’t into detail on, I think I may have even fallen into a mortal sin or two.

    Please pray for me!

    Praying, RW!

St. Joseph, pray for RW. Whether it be due to frustration or hurt, keep away taunting spirits, so that RW can better find peace in the Arms of Christ!

Most Irish people have bad tempers but learn to put a lid on it. Pick yourself up and start over. Apologize if needed and time will smooth it out too.

Thanks everyone, I'm doing better now. Lord-willing I'll make it to confession this evening.

I understand RW. I too have anger issues coupled with impatience. Always after the “fever” has left I am filled with such remorse and then begin to wonder why God would love such a sinner as me. It is then I realize that the devil gets me coming and going o_O

I think these times we are going through also “trigger” my inner angst and I’m sure I’m not the only one.

I think there is always so much to do that we often charge out into the world without putting on the “full armor”. I pray for peace and courage for you (and me) as we journey in this valley of tears :)

Am I the only Irish person to find this comment very offensive? Any link to back up the imo racist comment.

My husband is 70% Irish and has no bad temper at all…..I, on the other hand, am 2% Irish and have a terrible temper, especially when I am anxious!

I used to confess regularly to having a bad temper but never really did anything about it. You see (excuses follow) MY anger was always righteous and reasonable, I was responding to provocation etc. I had an excuse for every outburst. Anyway, I confessed this fairly recently and the priest didn't just pass over it. He started to question me about where, when and who and I began to see the seriousness of it. He gave me a penance of praying for 'patience, peace, forgiveness and love', and told me to take my feelings to Jesus instead of to those I felt angry towards, and to recall always that, much as I am loved by Our Lord, so are those who suffer my anger. I haven't become a saint since but I have become much more peaceful.

When I first visited Medjugorje, my household comprised two opinionated, lazy teenagers, a mischievous 10 year old and a wife who was fairly impatient with the lot of us. Consequently raised voices and harsh words were a fairly constant feature of home. When I returned from Medj. I was horrified by even the smallest disagreement at home and was unable to argue with anyone about anything but merely felt distressed at any discord. The effect was, unfortunately, not permanent but I am beginning to regain that feeling since that confession.

sorry you were offended by this. I don't think I am a racist person. I come from a big Irish family, all have tempers. I used to belong to the LAOH, all had bad tempers. We used to laugh about it. So, I am just going on personal experience.

Tonight is the night of Chile’s plebiscite on whether or not to install a new Communistic constitution. I’ve been praying and struggling real hard tonight to trust God, trust that He’ll hear my prayers tonight and throughout this past Summer. I still need to overcome this anger & negativity; when Summer began, I knew that my attitude should be, “great! I have all these days, weeks and months to pray that Chile’s Communist constitution doesn’t go through, and I can move there, work on my family’s farm, get married and have children!” But still I struggled with anger, negativity and the like.

I really hope and pray that this doesn’t go through, that I can finally be the farmer, husband and father God is calling me to be.

We are all sinners, and our sanctification is in the hands of God and His plan for our lives.
