On the thread for the consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, we were talking of doing the Annunciation Novena for this intention, so I thought I'd start a separate thread for this intention. I've copied the Novena prayer that Heavenly Hosts posted and the prayer intention of Bp. Schneider that Brian posted and am going to include the intention of sending my guardian angel to Pope Francis to ask all bishops to join in the consecration. Any other ideas on the wording? The Annunciation Novena I greet you, Ever-blessed Virgin, Mother of God, Throne of Grace, miracle of Almighty Power! I greet you, Sanctuary of the Most Holy Trinity and Queen of the Universe, Mother of Mercy and refuge of sinners! Most loving Mother, attracted by your beauty and sweetness, and by your tender compassion, I confidently turn to you, miserable as I am, and beg of you to obtain for me from your dear Son the favor I request in this novena: (mention your request). Preparatory Novena prayer for the Consecration of Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary O Immaculate Heart of Mary, Holy Mother of God and our most tender Mother. Look down upon the distress in which the Church and all humanity finds itself due to the spread of godlessness, materialism and the persecution of the Catholic Faith, errors of which you warned in Fatima. You are the Mediatrix of all graces. Obtain for us the grace that all the bishops of the world, in union with the Pope, may consecrate Russia and Ukraine to Your Immaculate Heart on March 25, 2022. By this consecration we hope – as you told us in Fatima – that, at a time appointed by God, Russia will be converted, and mankind will be granted an era of peace. We hope that by this consecration, the triumph of Your Immaculate Heart will soon draw near and the Church will be authentically renewed in the splendor of the purity of the Catholic Faith, the sacredness of the liturgy and the holiness of the Christian life. O Queen of the Holy Rosary and our most tender Mother, turn Your merciful eyes toward the Pope, the bishops and each of us, and graciously hear our fervent and trusting prayer. Amen. I also ask the grace for my guardian angel to bring this intention to the Pope's guardian angel. Obtain for me also, Queen of heaven, the most lively contrition for my many sins and the grace to imitate closely those virtues which you practiced so faithfully, especially humility, purity and obedience. Above all, I beg you to be my Mother and Protectress, to receive me into the number of your devoted children, and to guide me from your high throne of glory. Do not reject my petitions, Mother of Mercy! Have pity on me, and do not abandon me during life or at the moment of my death. Amen.
Sam, great idea. Thank you for doing this. However, the Annunciation Novena I copied from EWTN is longer than what you have posted here. It looks like you left off the end.
The part after "mention your request". I'm too lazy to type it out (apologies to Sam), but here's a link: https://www.ewtn.com/catholicism/devotions/annunciation-novena-319
This is the novena prayer from EWTN I greet you, Ever-blessed Virgin, Mother of God, Throne of Grace, miracle of Almighty Power! Amen. What I did was insert Bishop Schneider's prayer in the middle and then finished with the rest of the Annunciation Novena. As I said if some one has a better way of wording it please post it?
I see. I thought part of it sounded familiar. I actually had a fleeting thought of plagiarism which I banished immediately. thank you!
Please, even with the miraculous news of the Pope asking all bishops of the world to join in the consecration on the 25'th, keep praying!
A small suggestion would be to add that the Pope be receptive and responsive to the suggestions of his angel. (it seems to be working...maybe not needed)
The USCCB (Bishops in US) has headquarters in Washington, DC, right across the street from the National Shrine. Cardinal Wilton Gregory of the Archdiocese of Washington is celebrating a Mass at the Shrine on the 25th at noon. He is inviting diplomats. I think that this is evidence of a concrete plan to go ahead with the Consecration.
This is from Brian's post on another thread. Note the final paragraph of the letter from the Apostolic Nuncio.
The Annunciation Novena, Day 4. Petition for the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary......shared from 'Catholics - Let Us Pray !' YouTube site. This site belongs to a deeply spiritual, young Catholic woman from Northern Ireland.
I have been praying the rosary with this novena every day. Something was just brought to my attention which has me going hmmm. Your patronal feast day, birthdate is supposed to be very powerful for you. VLADIMIR PUTIN was born on October 7'th, feast day of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary. Let's pick up our weapons!
Day 7 and getting closer to the Feast of The Annunciation and the Consecration of Russia to Our Lady's Immaculate Heart. Please may it be accepted in Heaven.
