Yes. Canada needs prayers. I'm not sure but I think that the parliament is debating Trudeau's decision to implement this martial law and may vote on it tomorrow. If so, the police could be holding off until after the vote. Most people believe that whatever is tomhappen will happen before Saturday because that's when they have the biggest crowds with more children present. A small number of trucks have left. One man who had been there from the beginning was very downhearted. His was the big Loadsafe truck. He had had resigned his job last week but I think the authorities had given loadsafe an ultimatum to get the truck out of there or they would be out of business. I think their licence to operate would be withdrawn and they would have no insurance cover for any of their trucks. Loadsafe would have shut down, putting all their staff out of work. The man couldn't carry the burden of all the families who would be affected by the company's closure, so he left. It's all very sad.
The Loadsafe trucker deserves our respect! If I had money, I’d pay all of their wages because they are making these sacrifices for everyone. These mandates are a control tactic and these good people are doing the heavy lifting for everyones freedom . Go fund me stole money donated to help them…but we can pray that God provides for them and their families. I see their political opposition to Canada as America’s Boston Tea Party. Those patriots had to make huge sacrifices for freedom and we should never forget it or take it for granted. God bless them all!
His name is Erik. The other truckers called in a lawyer to speak to him just before he pulled out. They wanted to make sure the police wouldn't arrest him as soon as he was clear of the protest area and charge him with driving without insurance. I saw him interviewed last week on another live stream and I'm fairly sure that he owned the truck so may have had his own insurance. The container belonged to loadsafe and he had to return it to them. The remaining truckers wished him well as he left. Last night the police blocked off the market area and they have set up a ring of vehicle checkpoints at intersections around the city. Only residents or people working in the area are allowed enter. I thought someone said that non-residents must provide details of hotel reservations and name of employer. It snowed so much that they might not be able to tow the trucks away but they seem to be intent on keeping out the supporters or reinforcements. Some older people who came out to support the truckers were immigrants from Eastern Europe who said that the way Trudeau is acting reminds them of what their governments were like before they moved to Canada.
This lunatic might have lost the popular vote, but he received sufficient to be able to get his hands on the levers of power. That's something that Canadians have no excuse for allowing to happen, as the lessons from history are crying out. There are certain individuals for whom one has to ignore usual party affiliations and issues and simply decide that they must be rejected. Trudeau is one; Hillary Clinton was another; the citizens of the United States had the good sense to gamble on a colourful amateur rather than allow the latter gain power. The Canadians have electorally facilitated this mess-I hope they can extricate themselves and send a strong message to the world while they're at it. Trudeau is the perfect dupe for Corporatist/Statist/Elitist control.
In fairness to dictators, not all of them do. Franco was a good man; Egypt's General Sisi represents a vast improvement on the democratically-elected Muslim Brotherhood. Unfortunately, unless it is founded on a broadly moral and God-fearing populace, Democracy is somewhat over-estimated. The Greeks who first developed it quickly abandoned it, as it almost immediately produced mob tyranny. This world is Fallen-there's no getting around that; the way events are developing in the democratic Western World is clear evidence.
The acceleration of the government crackdown on its citizens won’t stop if the truckers quit now…and it won’t stop at the Canadian border. If the government’s that are trying to force/ intimidate/coerce this experimental drug isn’t stopped now, it will only empower all governments to keep these mandates . The exception will be those who drop them to get re-elected as is happening because of the current push back….and that’s the point….push back is exactly what’s needed and thank you to the good, peaceful, self sacrificing truckers who essentially are representing the Freedom and rights of bodily autonomy for all of us.
I suspect what we are seeing alll around in the slow collapse is the result of 100 years of democracy. The system is in freefall hence the demand for a Great Reset by the elites.

Beth, Yes, I pray that their movement continues and keeps pressure on the government and other governments around the world. A few days ago when I saw that Trudeau was invoking the Emergencies Act and I saw a clip from a newscaster speaking about it and I had this horrible feeling that with this act Trudeau could force the unvaxxed in Canada to get a Covid-19 vaccine. My vision was of them being in jail and the vaccine was physically forced on them. Maybe I was just panicking but after seeing all that he has done over the past few months and specifically the past few weeks, my vision seemed reasonable at the time. DeGaulle, Trudeau received 32.62% of the popular vote in 2021, I should have included that percentage in my other post. What he refers to a "fringe" group who is against him, I believe is not so fringe but you are correct after looking at some recent polls more Canadians still need to wake up, more people around the world need to wake up. That poll is interesting. They're saying that they 'may not agree with everything' the Trucker Convoy says or does, but... It's not the Trucker Convoy that is the primary issue, but Troody's response to it. There may be perfectly valid reasons to disagree with some or all of the words and deeds of the truckers, but the Stalinist clamp-down is wholly, and unholily, disproportionate and unjustifiable. The woke might be about to awaken.
I agree Carol55, the best way to win with a tyrant like Trudeau is through non-violent response. Trudeau is trying these tyrannical measures to get a violent response from the Truckers, then he can say, "see, I was right." These men are heroic in what they are doing. Non-violent response is the non-emotional response and will convince the public of the Truckers civic commitment to irrational mandates. Taking their pets was a truly viscerally low blow.
