Just read that omicron covid can begin with pink eye. I thought of your little ones and husband. Are you all through with it? Hoping its long gone.

I had omicron during Christmas, but didn’t take the antibiotic. If you get it, take the antibiotic, even if you feel it’s not that necessary. I’m taking them now cause weeks after Omicron, I am treating a sinus infection and dizziness.

My husband and 3 kids all had the pink eye along with lots of congestion and then a cough. They're still dealing with residual symptoms but are definitely past the worst of it!

I got swollen glands all throughout my throat and neck, along with a mild cough. It's almost over for me.

Thanks for asking, and thanks to those who prayed!

Everyone in my family except me and my 8 year old took antibiotics. My husband wishes he'd taken it sooner cause he's had a sinus infection for so long. My 3 year old did too...and she's just now starting to drain that congestion. It's been about 3 weeks for her!

And does the congestion go to the lungs?

I haven’t heard or read anyone with omicron with congestion in the lungs. It’s more about sinus, headaches, chills...
Omicron lasts about 9 days. But sinus infection can come back 2 weeks later. You should take an antibiotic immediately with Omicron.

We never tested so don't know that's what we had...but what we did have was all congestion in the sinuses, with a mild cough due to inflammation and drainage from the sinuses. It's been a few weeks for my husband and 3 year old, who definitely developed sinus infections. It lasted about a week for my 1 year old, and it's been a week and a half of swollen glands in my throat and neck, with on and off tiredness and a very mild cough/occasional hoarseness. (Every one of us was hoarse at one point or another, sometimes more than once throughout the illness.)

I don't know if this is Omicron but it's sure been something else. Very long and strange.

I think it depends. From what I've read Some people are down two weeks. Some 5 days. Some have no symptoms at all.

Sounds very much like omicron. Especially the pink eye. Apparently it can be an early symptom. Take great care. Praying this morning.

Not as much as the other covids apparently but I wouldn't rule it out.

    Rory,

Though I tested positive with a home test back around 1/14, I really don't know which variant I had. The covid-19 did affect my breathing and lungs; at times, significantly. But the protocol I was on, through a Florida doctor, included ivermectin, which did rectify my breathing difficulty. It was tough, at times, but only once did I feel panicky.:coffee:

Safe in the Refuge of the Immaculate Heart!
