Three Days of Darkness RE: the Chastisement of Fire

Hi, all. First time starting a thread! Longtime reader. I have a question about the 3 Days of Darkness and the Chastisement of Fire. Are these two different events? Is the chastisement of fire part of the 3 Days? I am wondering if the 3 Days will come at the end of this ERA or indicate the end of this ERA and the Chastisement of Fire will come at the end of all time? Could I have that switched? Sorry if this has already been discussed, I could not find a good thread on it. Thanks so much for your replies and prayers. Remembering you all in my prayers as well.

 

The 3 days of darkness have always been something of a puzzle for me. I have friends who believe this is coming soon and they have their beeswax candles ready and will be covering their windows and locking their doors. I don't know about all that, I think the 3 days of darkness may be more figurative than literal.

But regarding the chastisement of fire, I am moved by this when on October 13, 1973 Our Lady told Sister Agnes the following and I feel this is true as we have already seen part of it come true "cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops". And Sister Agnes received a 2nd visit in October 2019 as the Pachamama desecration occurred at The Vatican (and I personally had a profound experience 5 days later which was downloaded/infused knowledge that has come true) so I think the chastisement when God wipes the slate clean so we can enter the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart/Era of peace, will involve fire from the sky (it's why I also believe the miracle of the sun at Fatima also on October 13th but in 1917 where those in attendance felt the sun was falling from the sky upon them, was a foreshadowing of what is to come, probably in the next few years):

October 13, 1973

"My dear daughter, listen well to what I have to say to you. You will inform your superior."

After a short silence:

"As I told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by My Son. Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and priests."

"The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres...churches and altars sacked; the Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.

"The demon will be especially implacable against souls consecrated to God. The thought of the loss of so many souls is the cause of my sadness. If sins increase in number and gravity, there will be no longer pardon for them"

 

Patrick and Fatima.... I think The Three Days of Darkness is an enigma to me. Some times I think it is figurative and other times I think it is literal. Sometimes I think it probably will be BOTH!!

However I have to admit I lean heavily towards the figurative explanation. I find the details of what we should do (literally) to our houses during those days in order to to remain safe ...are practically impossible to accomplish! Like ...taping all the windows and doors to keep the outside from coming inside?
What do souls who are not at home at the time do? How about those who are in the hospital? I came up with a bunch of concepts that just dont "fit"

BUT..if you look at all the instructions for safety in a figurative way ... its makes perfect sense!!

For example .... What if our "house" is actually meant to be our "soul"! The outside being the "culture" in which the soul lives.

Could the "windows and doors" of our souls be our senses ...eyes, ears, touch etc.?
When we watch TV, get on our computers, (Facebook ,Twitter etc.) or go to movies etc ...do we not let our doors and windows open to the"poisonous culture" outside?
I cant remember all the other instructions of what we should do...but I do remember the one that told us not to "open the door to a voice that identifies itself as a relative and asks for entrance"?

I wondered about this one for a long while and then it dawned on me when I saw The Long Island Medium on TV.
THIS... is a prohibition to attending (opening a door to) a seance or seeking the services of a "medium" who allegedly contacts a deceased relative!

HOWEVER....I have no doubt that the three days of darkness that came over Egypt was a real,LITERAL darkness!!
So... altho I think the prophesy is not literal but figurative... Im really not sure!?

AND.... I sometimes wonder if we aren't NOW in fact living through those DARKEST of DAYS??!!

 

My admittedly limited contact with miraculous answers to prayer have shown me it is always both and. It is figurative and real. I think God delights in this because it happens again and again. So the darkness may be both. A spirituL darkness like a spiritual famine the prophets spoke of and a very real darkness.

 

The 3DD is one of the items in prophecy that has never had a firm placement in end-times chronology. My understanding is that it could literally happen at any time. My personal feeling is that it happens toward the end of the Chastisement, because afterwards most prophecies state that everyone in the world is converted. If that happened it would be hard to imagine them going through the 3DD, converting, and then going right back to killing each other.

 

I like this interpretation. Most true prophecy must be interpreted figuratively.

Keep our windows closed - don't use the computers with Billie's spyware on it. Only blessed candles will give light - only prayer will enlighten us.

 

Thank you Patrick for starting this thread…. Very interesting. And for me so timely. Like others , I e gone back and forth on if this is literal or figurative for 3DD. But, coincidence ? Yesterday my wife asked me to order beeswax candles - just out of the blue. And now for me to read this…..maybe a promoting. In any case, we will have our candles today and she is going to ask our priest to bless them this weekend. Only a few weeks ago, she went to a parish that had blessed Epiphany water and salt. Certainly having these sacramentals are good- not “magic” potion but truly blessings and protections offered through the Church and connected to sacraments. So even if the 3DD do not come, using them in that spirit can only be beneficial.

 

Many people ask me to compare the prophecy of the "Three Days of Darkness" attributed to the late mystic, Blessed Anna Maria Taigi, and the “CHASTISEMENT” mentioned at Garabandal. (The term "3 days" was NEVER used in Garabandal.)

We have one description from Conchita ,and one from Mari Loli as to one aspect of the event, whereas Blessed Anna's is more detailed and descriptive. They do same one common theme of “ FIRE”. Here is Conchita's statement on what the Blessed Mother allowed her to say about the "Chastisement" : “The Chastisement is conditional and depends on whether or not mankind heeds the messages of the Blessed Virgin and the Miracle. If it should take place, I know what it will consist of, because the Blessed Virgin told me about it, but I am not permitted to say what it is. Moreover, I have seen the Chastisement. I can assure you that if it comes, it will be worse than being enveloped in fire, worse than having fire above and beneath you. I do not know how much time will elapse between the Miracle and the Conditional Chastisement.“

On the feast of the Holy Rosary, October 7, 1962, Maria Herrero de Gallardo was in Garabandal and took the occasion to question Mari Loli about the visions of June 19-20, 1962 (the Nights of the Screams), and what she and the other visionaries could possibly have seen to cause them to cry out in such a terrifying manner. Sefiora Herrero reported:
"Oh!" exclaimed the girl. "That was horrible to see. We were really frightened, and I know no words that could explain it. We saw rivers change into blood.... Fire fell from the sky.... And something much worse still, which I'm not able to reveal now."

Prophecy of Blessed Anna Maria Taigi

"The wind will howl and roar. Lightning and thunderbolts of an unprecedented magnitude will strike the earth. The whole earth will shake, heavenly bodies will be disturbed (this will be the beginning of the Three Days). Every Demon, every evil spirit will be released from hell and allowed to roam the earth. Terrifying apparitions will take place. Many will die from sheer fright. Fire will rain forth from the sky, all large cities will be destroyed, poisonous gases will fill the air, cries and lamentations everywhere. The unbelievers will burn in the open like withered grass. The entire earth will be afflicted; it will look like a huge graveyard.


Message from Akita: October 13, 1973

To me , they all seem to be describing the same event.

 

It can be compared to the Passover in the Old Testament.

 

Agree HH! it is why it will be so important to continue to have access to the Eucharist. In a sense, but even more so than the blood being smeared on doorposts of Israelites on night of psssover… we have the blood of Jesus Christ Himself on our lips and souls… to ensure the angel of real death passes over us.

Interesting Glenn.... Could the 100%" bees wax candle" needed for the 3DD be :

The candle symbolizes light in the darkness of life especially individual life, illumination; it is the symbol of holy illumination of the spirit of truth. Lit in times of death, they signify the light in the next world, and they represent Christ as the light. Purification and cleansing closely related.”

Maybe the candle represents the living word of God ..which would be Jesus ...or even the written word of God ..the Bible?

 

It’s a blessed Catholic sacramental. That’s enough for me to know.

 

If that were the case then the only light that would be visible would be the light of the households/souls FAITH??
We would be able to SEE because of.. or through the eyes of Faith?

FYI... BUT....just in case my symbolic interpretation of the 3DD is totally wrong....I bought enough 100% pure beeswax candles for me and my children's homes!!

 

Thank you, everyone, for your responses. MoG is a real blessing. I wish I had some wisdom or knowledge to add here - like you all have. I find I am much better at the questions part! I hope that Garabandal has it correct and this is all the same event. The prophecies - biblical and otherwise - seem to point in that direction. And, I cannot imagine two separate incidents that are this horrifying. I also agree with the figurative interpretation, and that we are in that time of darkness right now. It never ceases to amaze me - that which comes from God always make sense - in all times and through the many different lenses through which we see. I will say an extra prayer for everyone here this evening.

Patrick... I...like you think we are even now in a terrible time of "darkness" .... a spiritual darkness as well as a cultural ( for lack of a better label ) I think we all sense the gray, gloomy depression that sets in when God is gone and evil reigns as it does so blatantly these days.

HOWEVER...It may be that the 3DD is still to come, as I said.... I'm not positively sure that this prophesy will not only take place "in our heads"but will also some day really show up in our back yards!!

The three words that constantly resound in my head are: PRAY...FAST and PERSEVERE!!!

I have a tendency, miker, to re-emphasize this point, but the Passover, yes, was a powerful foreshadowing of the Eucharist, not just the Blood. There were four essential elements if a household was to be spared from the angel of death. (1) procure a lamb, (2) sacrifice the the lamb, (3) eat the lamb, (4) mark the doors of your homes with the blood of the lamb in a manner that foreshadowed the "Sign of the Cross"!

If any of the 4 were not done, the firstborn would not have been spared!

Cross of Christ, sanctify me!

 

I believe the 3 days of darkness will be a physical event. I'm sure there is a figurative aspect to it too, as with most spiritual things... But we modern people are not used to literal spiritually miraculous events happening in the world, which have quieted down for so long in this faithless, humanistic and naturalistic modern society. So it's hard to imagine this horrific literal event. But as faith grows in the hearts of the few Christians left, the walls hiding evil are stripped back, and Mary's plans approach fulfillment, the spiritual world and God's might and power will move in closer. I think many astonishing things are on the horizon. The near future will not be the barren human-centered world with not enough faith for the miraculous. It will be full of wonders, both terrifying and glorious.
