Wow! These are very powerful words and precise words, particularly when you consider she has said in the past that she knows when the secrets are supposed to begin to unfold. She also talks about the importance of the day “March 18” in her book. She says “Only when the things contained in the secrets start to happen will the world understand why Our Lady chose March 18. The significance of the date will be clear.” What are we to make of March 18th? Last year there was a great deal of attention to Mirjana’s apparition on March 18 because it took place during the 1OO year anniversary of the Fatima apparitions. There was speculation that something big, like a major political crisis would take place. So here we are a year later and March 18 is again looming large as a special date. Will this be the year where we begin to understand why March 18 is so significant? During a Q & A session between Mirjana and a group of English-speaking pilgrims in Medjuge, and in response to a comment by one of the pilgrims about sharing the same birthday as Mirjana, the visionary responded: “Great people were born on the 18th of March. But I never have my birthday because that is the day of the apparition. And many people have the wrong opinion about it. They feel that Our Lady comes to me on the 18th of March because it is my birthday. She doesn’t come for sure for that reason because she never said to me Happy Birthday. When everything starts happening, then you will be able to understand why the 18th of March, why every second of the month, why Wednesdays and Fridays are days of fasting, everything will be clear.” In her new book Mirjana had a few other things to say about the Medjugorje secrets: Mirjana: “The seventh Secret Troubled Me Greatly” Mirjana then asked “Is it possible for the secrets to be lessened? Our Lady: “Pray” Mirjana: “I can not divulge much about the secrets but I can say this…Our Lady is planning on changing the world. She did not come to announce our destruction; she came to save us and with her Son she will triumph over evil. If Our Mother has promised to defeat evil, then what do we have to fear? Mirjana In Mirjana’s last 2nd of the month apparition, Our Holy Mother spoke of a coming “darkness” and warned that it will seize many of us. Apostles of my love, you who sincerely and with a pure heart strive to follow my Son, you who sincerely love Him, you help; be an example to those who have not yet come to know the love of my Son — but, my children, not only with words but also with acts and pure feelings through which you glorify the Heavenly Father. Apostles of my love, it is a time of vigil, and of you I am asking for love, that you not judge — anyone. Because the Heavenly Father will judge everyone. I am asking that you love, that you convey the truth; because truth is old, it is not new, it is eternal, it is truth. It testifies to God’s eternity. Bring the light of my Son and keep breaking the darkness which all the more wants to seize you. Do not be afraid. Through the grace and the love of my Son, I am with you. Thank you. “ Will the darkness arrive this March 18, 2022?
Very interesting about blackout coming. The "powers that be" that "run" the world have been warning of blackouts and smallpox all of last year. Typically when they warn, they are projecting to us what is to come. Be prepared folks. I did quite a bit of research yesterday on smallpox and some natural remedies. I thought most were vaccinated from smallpox, but the reality is if you were born after 1972, you have not been vaccinated unless you were considered high risk or were in the military (at least this is for US, I don't know about other countries). For those interested or have the funds needed, this has been proven to cure smallpox and is found from Maine to Florida and west to the Mississippi in the US. Sarracenia Purpurea. I ordered drops of this for my medical supplies if this comes to fruition I can help many. Yarrow Tea will help early break the fever of smallpox when it comes. Collodial Silver will help with the sores that break out after the fever. Other things help too for smallpox like MMS, NAC and some other things that seem to help with lots of things, but the above 3 seem essential to be prepared for a smallpox outbreak. I had no idea that smallpox is the number one killer of all time of people in world history and unfortunately has a 30% death rate. For Blackouts, I suggest creating a small faraday cage for some essential items like a radio, flashlights, emergency phone and some solar panels. These are very easy to create, and I did one last year. After you build one, it is very important though to get some aluminum tape and seal all openings and the lid. This works. I tried it out and tested it. Also, have plenty of batteries (these don't need to be in your cage), candles, possible heat source, maybe get some solar landscape lights. Water is important so be thinking about that too. I am fortunate enough to have a 15,000-gallon pool, so have clean water and plenty of chlorine to purify the water. It is a simple equation for having pure chlorine 2 for T I call it. 1 tsp of pure chlorine will treat 2 gallons of water.
Mr. Ryan writes in a confused way. What is the sin that blocks us from getting into heaven? If I were one of the visionaries, I would be annoyed with how he portrays Medjugorje....mainly clickbait articles. This was written a few years back (2018) and regurgitated for yesterday because in the article, it says that Last year there was a great deal of attention to Mirjana’s apparition on March 18 because it took place during the 1OO year anniversary of the Fatima apparitions.
Scripturally speaking there is only one sin that is unpardonable and that is not accepting the forgiveness of God. That is the sin that we unfortunately choose at judgement. We can feel so guilty from our sins especially after seeing all of them and feeling their effects on those they impacted, that in our shame and guilt we refuse that God can forgive us and have mercy on us. Even the worst sinner could be saved in that moment and put in the worst spot in Purgatory to begin to repent and heal, but if we deny that grace then it is us that choose hell not our loving, merciful Father. He is always there with arms wide open to accept us even if it will require great sufferings in purgatory. The worst sinners are those who in those moments have great fear of our Lord and sadly choose to run from Him versus to Him. Pray greatly and often for those facing judgement that they will choose to recognize our Father and even in their greatest of sorrows and guilts will still choose to run into His arms vs running from Him.
I sometimes used to get emails from him , but have not for a while now. I believe he posted a little while ago that he supported Pope Francis. Several big Catholic web sites post similiar statements of support. This made me think, 'Do I too support Pope Francis?' Well I acknowledge Pope Francis as Pope and pray for the poor guy. I would always be obedient to him in all things lawful. So, I hope as any good Catholic would I suppose I do support him. But there has been a kind of parting of the ways. I think myself and this forum are not flavour of the month in many quarters now. But if by supporting Pope Francis is meant supporting him in all he says and does, well certainly not. Is that really what being a , 'Good', Catholic is? Agreeing with everything Pope Francis says and does without question? But yes I have noticed a parting of the ways. I don't get contacted anymore by some of these big site owners. I'll not name them, but I suppose you can guess.
Thanks, Padraig, I went back to delete my post because I wrote it out of annoyance and that doesn't benefit anyone. So, I'm sorry for that. I will post a google translated message that Marija made for Christmas from the Italian website, Medjugorje every day. The Medjugorje seer Marija: "This pandemic can end, it depends on us. Courage, go on, with Jesus, Joseph and Mary ...." Our Lady said that the prayer and fasting also can ward off some evil spirits and today there are evil spirits. So many times I see it in many people who have become violent (pro-vaccine, against vaccine) even in the same family there is disorder, because we don't pray, because we don't respect each other. Faith is missing, that hope that faith gives, because a person who believes is joyful and also becomes a peaceful person, a docile person, a person of peace. This is what Our Lady is calling to become "people who believe in the future". We must become a blessing for others , with our life, with our behavior, with our example. I arrived here in Italy a few days ago, since May I have been in Medjugorje, there the prayer is intense. It is a smaller village, there is no pandemic as strong as in Italy, because everything is smaller there, it is like a family. There you hear the prayer. In Italy it is different, there is no Faith. We have to increase our faith, Our Lady is asking us to pray. The end of the pandemic depends on us, our behavior, our attitude, our prayer. If we truly believe, this pandemic can also end and very quickly. When many families began to pray, to ask for help, they had, they received the answer, peace, joy and unity. This is something I have experienced through so many families. Pray together and you will see that you will receive. We see the Lord, in a special way to the Child Jesus who is so innocent, made himself so small! Jesus did not bring war, he did not bring hunger he arrived in a stable so small, so innocent and so he was able to bring the shepherds to his heart and all the people who are of good will, and for this I say: let us ask Baby Jesus today in a special way. As Our Lady once told us: "bring a flower in front of the nativity scene, offer your heart with this flower and give it to Jesus". But why don't we make peace because we can't! I remember, in the early years Our Lady said: "Go to the home where you have an enemy" ... they were all peasants in Medjugorje, who had land, they had not spoken to each other for many years due to land boundary issues. Our Lady said to go from house to house to ask for forgiveness and to bring peace. Our Lady is asking us even now, she has asked us to be a blessing for others. Our Lady with the Child Jesus gave us the blessing and they are asking us for this very blessing, that we become a blessing not only ... we must become wealth for all those we meet, because God has given us so much and we are poor, but with God's help We can become rich, because God is our wealth. Our bishop asked to say more Masses. If we are those people who give peace, joy, faith, at that point many fruits arrive with all those we have met. Many Italian people arrived in Medjugorje with great fear of dying, "we are going to die". It was once said that life and death are in the hands of God! Today it seems that life is ours ... that it is in our hands and it seems that we can protect ourselves. We must be careful, but above all we must trust in the Lord because life and death are in His hands and we must seek it with our faith with hope and with simple prayer. This pandemic can be an opportunity we have, so much terror of this pandemic that we have forgotten "Merry Christmas". Christian faith is the most beautiful thing. For the feast of Jesus, many songs are made .. how beautiful they are and how much joy .. "You come down from the stars", how many generations have sung it. These traditions are a wealth! Our children will always remember what we did. For this courage, go ahead , with Jesus, Joseph and Mary. You will see that everything will be fine. Many times through suffering, many people draw close to Jesus. I have often felt that if there had not been suffering, they would never have come to Medjugorje, and thanks to this suffering the whole family has drawn closer to God and to prayer. For this reason, suffering can often be good too. Marija Pavlovic-Lunetti - December 25, 2021
I see that argument more and more in France and other European countries, that you can "choose your fate" after death. Some good priests are facing persecutions when trying to warn us that this is not true. You cannot choose anything at judgement, because by definition you are being judged. Yes, even the worst sinner can repent and be saved at the last minute, but the last minute still means before death. I know it is easy to fall into this error so here is the teaching of the Church on this matter: The Catholic Church has always taught that death (as the separation of the body and the soul) is followed immediately by personal judgement. This means that after death, you cannot repent nor use your will to make any decision. After death, the soul separated from the body is forever fixed in union with, or in separation from God. "if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree fell, there it shall be." (Eccl.11:3) Salvation is earned through faith and good works through our lives on Earth, and death is not a period of time between life's end and the judgement, nor a new state of the soul that would allow us to convert. If you can choose your final destination after death then why bother and go to confession? Why did the martyrs chose death since they could have denied Christ, lived, and ask for forgiveness later? Why would sinners repent and change their lives if they can do it after death? You can see how dangerous this thinking can be. Also Purgatory is not something you can freely choose to escape Hell. Purgatory is for people that already are saved but still need more purification before entering Heaven. People that committed mortal sin and died without confession or making an act of contrition simply cannot (are not able) to ask for forgiveness after death. They can still be saved by a miracle of Grace, but as a miracle this remains exceptional, and cannot be considered as the norm of Divine action. This has been clearly stated in every Catechism of the Church through History: 1021 Death puts an end to human life as the time open to either accepting or rejecting the divine grace manifested in Christ.592 The New Testament speaks of judgment primarily in its aspect of the final encounter with Christ in his second coming, but also repeatedly affirms that each will be rewarded immediately after death in accordance with his works and faith. The parable of the poor man Lazarus and the words of Christ on the cross to the good thief, as well as other New Testament texts speak of a final destiny of the soul--a destiny which can be different for some and for others.593 1022 Each man receives his eternal retribution in his immortal soul at the very moment of his death, in a particular judgment that refers his life to Christ: either entrance into the blessedness of heaven-through a purification594 or immediately,595 -- or immediate and everlasting damnation.596
I don't disagree with you at all. I think you misinterpreted what I was saying. I am not saying you can change your "fate" if you will after death but we like any defendant standing before the judge, we await our fate. We don't know what the judge will do in that moment. Does the judge convict us ie damnation? Does the judge sentence us to the purifying fires of Purgatory for only He knows how long? Or does the judge set us free letting us into Paradise? We will have our examination at Judgement. We will see every sin we have ever committed as well as how much we loved. What mystics have had revealed to them is that even in the moments of the worst of the worst, there is our loving Father with his arms outstretched to his creation He loves so much. Is there mercy still there in that moment? Only God knows, but sadly mystics have been shown that the soul is in so much horror at what it had just seen and felt of its life, their shame and guilt are so great they don't even recognize our Lord. Can't even look upon his face. They do not recognize their Father because they are so much in the dark. They are even angry at Him. How heartbreaking that must be for our Father who loves every one of His creations in a greater love than we could ever even imagine.
From Divine Mercy In My Soul - The Diary of Saint Faustina: 1486 Jesus: O soul steeped in darkness, do not despair. All is not yet lost. Come and confide in your God, who is love and mercy. — But the soul, deaf even to this appeal, wraps itself in darkness. Jesus calls out again: My child, listen to the voice of your merciful Father. — In the soul arises this reply: "For me there is no mercy," and it falls into greater darkness, a despair which is a foretaste of hell and makes it unable to draw near to God. Jesus calls to the soul a third time, but the soul remains deaf and blind, hardened and despairing. Then the mercy of God begins to exert itself, and, without any co-operation from the soul, God grants it final grace. If this too is spurned, God will leave the soul in this self-chosen disposition for eternity. This grace emerges from the merciful Heart of Jesus and gives the soul a special light by means of which the soul begins to understand (83) God's effort; but conversion depends on its own will. The soul knows that this, for her, is final grace and, should it show even a flicker of good will, the mercy of God will accomplish the rest. My omnipotent mercy is active here. Happy the soul that takes advantage of this grace. Jesus: What joy fills My Heart when you return to me. Because you are weak, I take you in My arms and carry you to the home of My Father. Soul (as if awaking, asks fearfully): Is it possible that there yet is mercy for me? Jesus: There is, My child. You have a special claim on My mercy. Let it act in your poor soul; let the rays of grace enter your soul; they bring with them light, warmth, and life. Soul: But fear fills me at the thought of my sins, and this terrible fear moves me to doubt Your goodness. Jesus: My child, all your sins have not wounded My Heart as painfully as your present lack of trust does— that after so many efforts of My (84) love and mercy, you should still doubt My goodness. Soul: O Lord, save me yourself, for I perish. Be my Savior. O Lord, I am unable to say anything more; my pitiful heart is torn asunder; but You, O Lord... Jesus does not let the soul finish but, raising it from the ground, from the depths of its misery, he leads it into the recesses of His Heart where all its sins disappear instantly, consumed by the flames of love. Jesus: Here, soul, are all the treasures of My Heart. Take everything you need from it. Soul: O Lord, I am inundated with Your grace. I sense that a new life has entered into me and, above all, I feel Your love in my heart. That is enough for me. O Lord, I will glorify the omnipotence of Your mercy for all eternity. Encouraged by Your goodness, I will confide to You all the sorrows of my heart. Jesus: Tell me all, My child, hide nothing from Me, because My loving Heart, the Heart of your Best Friend, is listening to you. Soul: O Lord, now I see all my ingratitude and Your goodness. You were pursuing me with Your grace, while I was frustrating Your benevolence. I see that I deserve (85) the depths of hell for spurning Your graces. Jesus (interrupting): Do not be absorbed in your misery—you are still too weak to speak of it—but, rather, gaze on My Heart filled with goodness, and be imbued with My sentiments. Strive for meekness and humility; be merciful to others, as I am to you; and, when you feel your strength failing, if you come to the fountain of mercy to fortify your soul, you will not grow weary on your journey.
luz, I am limiting my posts, but I had to comment on the above highlight. Salvation is merited, but never earned. As Catholics we must learn to distinguish between meriting and earning and eliminate the latter from our vocabulary. Otherwise, your post rings true. I can also say that there was one priest's whose judgment was "stayed" by the intervention of Our Lady, but this did not include any involvement on the priest's part. The priest understood his choices warranted judgment and he did not beg for mercy. However, due to Our Lady's intervention, he survived the car crash and his life was radically changed. Here is something I shared some years ago based on Collects from Holy Mass: Often, Protestants incorrectly claim that Catholics are taught that we must earn our way to heaven by good works. This claim is incorrect. The Church does teach that we merit heaven. Isn't that the same? No. Some beautiful prayers from Holy Mass during the month of August clarify the source of merit: Tuesday of the 20th Week in Ordinary Time Collect O God, who have prepared for those who love you good things which no eye has seen, fill our hearts, we pray, with the warmth of your love, so that, loving you in all things and above all things, we may attain your promises, which surpass every human desire, Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son... Prayer Over the Offerings Receive our oblation, O Lord, by which is brought about a glorious exchange, that, by offering what you have given, we may merit to receive your very self. Through Christ our Lord. Isn't this amazing! In the first prayer God promises surpassing good gifts. And why? Because we have loved Him with the love that He put in our hearts in the first place! Wow! The second prayer expresses the same thought. It speaks of a glorious exchange, but notice: we receive the Lord Himself by offering up what God has given to us in the first place! And look at the Collect from the Friday of the 21st Week in Ordinary Time below. It's God who has clothed us, inflamed us with His love, and conformed us to His image! And the result? We merit a share in eternal redemption! Yes, we are responsible for our choices and actions, but these prayers wonderfully reveal that it is God Who initiates and brings to completion. Alleluia! Collect Clothe us, Lord God, with the virtues of the Heart of your Son and set us aflame with his love, that, conformed to his image, we may merit a share in eternal redemption. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son... How rightly Paul writes in the first reading on the following Saturday: 1Cor 1: 28 God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, 29 so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. 30 He is the source of your life in Christ Jesus, whom God made our wisdom, our righteousness and sanctification and redemption; 31 therefore, as it is written, "Let him who boasts, boast of the Lord."
That's true, thank you for the correction. English isn't my native language so I couldn't think of a word better than "earn" to express what I meant... Sorry about that
Thank you Terry and Luz for very good postings …. Good to think about these things. I go back to old father Abraham in OT when I think about salvation. These verses from Romans 4 to me are key even to us today because we are descendants of Abraham and heirs to the Promise God made with him and of course completely fulfilled in Jesus Christ. It’s certainly a mystery, but yes, what we do “counts”, but like Abraham, it’s our belief that is “credited” to us as righteousness. What then can we say that Abraham found, our ancestor according to the flesh? Indeed, if Abraham was justified on the basis of his works, he has reason to boast; but this was not so in the sight of God. For what does the scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness." A worker's wage is credited not as a gift, but as something due. But when one does not work, yet believes in the one who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness.
