Im not coping at all. I've lived a pretty horrible life full of horrific sins. I was praying recently and the word unjustified came to me . Never heard of it , I heard of Justified as it was a Justin Timberlake album When I googled unjustified, it meant unworthy in the site of God. I've been back and forth with my faith. I even gave up last summer. I know we are in the age of antichrist where God pours out his wrath on mankind. With no mercy .. we get what we deserve I'm started to get more and more sick, no I haven't taken the Vax but I have underlying health problems. The radiation is pretty bad where I am too. I feel like I'm just living to die soon to burn for eternity . Sr lucia said to her relative priest that there won't always be hope for our salvation. I feel so hopeless
We all have sins. We must not despair. Jesus died for you and me - the worst of deaths. We honour that by getting up, picking up our cross and carrying on. He didn't come for the good people. He came for sinners like you and me. Keep going.
Feelings are not reality. Think objectively about your salvation and especially about God's mercy. All of us fall horribly short every day.
You are struggling a lot with discouragement. Never give up the fight. Turn to the Mercy of Jesus every time. His loving Mercy is inexhaustible! We'll always be praying for you, padrepiofan!
That’s the devil attacking you. Don’t let him feel important. Say over and over again, Jesus I trust in you. And don’t forget whatever sin you have committed God still loves you. Ask for forgiveness and sin no more. Pray to St Philomena for her help.
Padrepiofan, Pray: Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase your mercy in us so that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to your Holy Will which is love and mercy itself. Amen. (Sr. Mildred Neuzil) Do not despair of Gods mercy - it’s rejecting His Love who is Love and Mercy itself! Trust!
No one is outside the mercy of God. God does not get fed up forgiving us. He knows what we are made of. We are sinners, we are weak, we fall. In fact it says in the Bible "the just man falls seven times a day", how much more the sinner. And remember when Peter asked Jesus how many times we should forgive Jesus responded saying, "Not seven times, but seventy seven times" meaning we must forgive always. How merciful and forgiving is our good God! Please do not despair of God's mercy. That is the sin of Judas, he couldn't imagine God would forgive him and yet had he flung himself on the mercy of God as Peter did things could have been very different for him. God is love, He is mercy. The Bible says when we confess our sins he remembers them no more, Isaiah 38:17, Behold, it was for my welfare that I had great bitterness; but in love you have delivered my life from the pit of destruction, for you have cast all my sins behind your back." God has forgiven you, you have to forgive yourself. It is not God who is convicting you of confessed sin or your past (especially if you have already repented) but the enemy, who is the accuser. Please remember, you must discern, does the word you hear draw you closer to God or make you withdraw from Him? Does it give you peace or take it from you? Trust in Jesus. As Jesus said to st. Faustina "My child all your sin's have not wounded my heart as painfully as your present lack of trust does - that after so many efforts of my love and mercy you should still doubt my goodness".(1486)
Q. How many are the sins against the Holy Ghost? A. The sins against the Holy Ghost are six: (1) Despairing of being saved; (2) Presuming on being saved without merit; (3) Opposing the known truth; (4) Envying another's graces; (5) Obstinately remaining in sin; (6) Final impenitence.
Padrepiofan, my heart goes out to you! Your only sin is not believing you can be saved, which you already are (just make sure you try to go to confession)! I will pray for you! Just tell God every day, that you KNOW you are an unworthy sinner (like all of us!) and pray for mercy. Tell God you will probably fall constantly throughout the day but you will do your best to pick yourself up and TRUST in his mercy but only if HE will help you! You are LOVED by God and even though you can't feel it, just blindly trust in HIM. And don't forget to ask his Mother for help, she sees your wounded heart and can help you. It may take a long time but gradually God works thru you and thru others around you. God Bless!
Please don't give up. Never give up. Recite Divine Mercy Chaplet every day and ask St. Padre Pio to help you do this. He is such a wonderful saint! Soon you will find your doubts fading away and humble trust replacing them. "Though your sins be like scarlet, they may become white as snow; Though they be crimson red, they may become white as wool.” Isaiah 1:10 These words are absolutely beautiful. There is nothing that we can do that is forever cast in stone, if we are sorry for the sins that we have committed. God Bless
This is a MASSIVE spiritual attack. Resist it. Get to confession and humbly tell Jesus everything. His Blood from Calvary will cover you. The graces from confession are glorious --strengthening us for the battle. And it IS a battle.
I sympathize with your guilt over your past. I've been there. You get to the point where you feel physically ill while reminscing. Combine that with today's current state... it's excruciating at times. However, thinking that you're unworthy to go to Heaven because of those past sins is simply the devil tempting you to give up trying. His end goal is to get you to not care about making the right moral decisions anymore, because you think you're too far gone. I've been there. But don't forget that Jesus said on the cross "Forgive them Father". He said this to people that he performed healings in front of-yet they still didn't believe. He said this to people who kicked him out of their towns for teaching kindness and repentance. He said this to people who just had abused him in the most brutal way possible. You, on the other hand, are feeling guilt and leaning on God in your desperation. Jesus asked for forgiveness to those people I mentioned above, who felt no such remorse . You're going to be just fine. Praying for you.
"Even if there were a sinner most hardened, if he were to recite this chaplet only once, he would receive grace from My infinite mercy." Please go here to find out how. Save your soul! https://centrefordivinemercy.org/chaplet-of-divine-mercy#How
My comments in bold. You said: Im not coping at all. I've lived a pretty horrible life full of horrific sins. I was praying recently and the word unjustified came to me . Never heard of it , I heard of Justified as it was a Justin Timberlake album When I googled unjustified, it meant unworthy in the site of God. We are all unworthy. The only way God "counts" us as worthy is by God's grace won by Christ's sacrifice. I've been back and forth with my faith. I even gave up last summer. We are all sinners. The saints are just sinners who kept trying. I know we are in the age of antichrist where God pours out his wrath on mankind. With no mercy .. we get what we deserve You are wrong about this. This is the time of God's mercy. It is the evil one who tempts you to give up. I'm started to get more and more sick, no I haven't taken the Vax but I have underlying health problems. The radiation is pretty bad where I am too. I feel like I'm just living to die soon to burn for eternity . Do not give up. St Faustina in her diary is told by Jesus that the greater the sinner, the greater the sinner's claim on God's mercy. Sr lucia said to her relative priest that there won't always be hope for our salvation. I believe you are referring to the following, and are slightly misinformed... "Sister Lucy, the third Fatima visionary, died in 2005 as a Carmelite nun. In a 1957 interview with Fr. Augustine Fuentes, who at that time was the postulator for the cause of canonization of the other two Fatima visionaries, Jacinta and Francisco, Sister Lucy said this to him: “Father, the Most Holy Virgin did not tell me that we are in the last times of the world but She made me understand this for [the following] reasons. The first reason is because She told me that the devil is in the mood for engaging in a decisive battle against the Virgin. And a decisive battle is the final battle where one side will be victorious and the other side will suffer defeat. Hence from now on we must choose sides. Either we are for God or we are for the devil. There is no other possibility. “The second reason is because She said to my cousins as well as to myself that God is giving two last remedies to the world. These are the Holy Rosary and Devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.” We know from Mary herself that she doesn't lose this battle..Her Immaculate heat triumphs! The Church teaches us there is always hope for God's mercy if we are repentant...until our last breath.
And as AED said, “Get to confession and humbly tell Jesus everything”! You’ll get great graces to overcome your despair with confession. It could change everything.
In addition to the other prayers, I'd like to add these binding prayers that I've found useful from time to time: Precious Blood Prayer Precious Blood wash over me. And protect me from the wickedness and snares of the devil. Binding Prayers In the name of Jesus, and by His Precious Blood, I bind you, spirit of _____________ <anger, confrontation, etc.>, and send you to the foot of the Cross to be judged by our Lord. In the name of Jesus, and by His Precious Blood, Any spirit here that interferes with____________ <my sleep, etc.> in any way, I bind you, and send you to the foot of the Cross to be judged by our Lord. <To clear the air:> In the name of Jesus, and by His Precious Blood, Any spirit here that is not of the Holy Spirit, I bind you, and send you to the foot of the Cross to be judged by our Lord. Whichever one you pray, say it 3 times.
I've also also become quite fond of this prayer I ran across, and have added it to my prayers before bedtime. A Prayer For Daily Neglects (History: Soon after the death of a certain Poor Clare nun, she appeared to her abbess, who was praying for her, and said: “I went straight to Heaven because I paid all my debts by virtue of this prayer”) Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Sacred Heart of Jesus, with all its love, all its sufferings and all its merits: First -- To expiate all the sins I have committed this day and during all my life. Glory be to the Father, etc. Second -- To purify the good I have done badly this day and during all my life. Glory be to the Father, etc. Third -- To supply for the good I ought to have done, and that I have neglected this day and during all my life. Glory be to the Father, etc. Amen
Great advice in all the above posts. I would add just one. Start to say the sinners prayer, 'JESUS HAVE MERCY ON ME A SINNER'. Let this prayer become part of your continuous mental conversation and it will bring you immense peace. When you wake up at night and feel disturbed say it. The devil will flee. God bless you and don't give up. God loves you more than you can ever understand.
