The closer you get...yes, prayer life, but more importantly the state of your soul. Attacks will happen or the created one will completely ignore you and hope you burn out. Interesting time in your spiritual life. Exciting to think what will come next. But the best part was the peaceful feeling once you touched rosary.

    you are in interesting place

    prayers,

I had a similar encounter a few weeks ago. I woke up in the middle of the night (of course around 3:33 in the morning) and thought I heard my daughter talking. I had this awful feeling of a presence in the house. Then my cat hissed in the hallway and that really freaked me out. I instantly began to pray for comfort. I wasn't getting it right away and continued to hear things in the house and continued to feel uneasy. I decided to keep praying and ignore it. The silence of the house was also earie, so I turned a fan on to try to ignore it. The next morning my daughter talked about how she has felt uneasy in certain parts of the home. I had some blessed chalk leftover, so we decided to mark every door, openings, arches and windows in the house with + J M J + Since then, it has felt much better in the house. The cat hissing during all this is what really unnerved me the most. I have always felt that cats are in touch with the spiritual world far more than us and for some reason feel like they are in tune with heaven much more than any other domestic animal and can help ward off evil. Don't know if there is any validity to this thought but I always feel comforted with a cat by. My cat always comes and lays with me when I am praying too.

He most certainly will. When my prayer life gets stale, the evil goes away probably because it knows it has us. When it gets back to where it once was, the evil returns because once again, it has lost you or in the process of losing you, and evil does not like that. I have had plenty of encounters with evil, like I just posted above. The thing that has really helped me though is true trust in God and faithful prayer. Once we have that, evil scatters. It could be something as simple as chalking the doors like I just did. That is not about the power of the chalk, but all about the power of our faith in God and Him using something as powerless as chalk.

I think animals have keen senses to the spiritual. My friend's cat sounds like yours. He too loves to snuggle up to pray.
Its always between 3 and 4 am in my experience that these things happen. Since I have been consecrating my dreams to the Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart the bad dreams of this sort have stopped. (Fr Rpperger suggested thd consecration of dreams)

Yes, everyone is different but spiritually there is only two directions to go.

For the house to be spiritually strong, there needs to be one person leading the charge.

It seems most of us have faith and actually a strong spiritual life.

The 3am battles have been a part of a saints life for a long time.

Actually it is a very special prayer time. Never force it...if its Gods will...it will happen.

But if its a spiritual battle, then just be strong, pray and it will pass.

Also, if you are tired or feel agitated from praying at that hour, its propbably not from God.

Some of you here, have a very strong spiritual life. It makes sense to me...if the world around us is going in different direction. I’m sure we are poking the bear. And sometimes the bear might come by and see whats going on.

But we must remember, God has to allow it because there are rules to this battle. God knows if we are spiritually ready.

I don’t bring this up to scare people. And some of us might have never experienced these things...and i pray you don’t.

But if we really believe our faith...then we have entered the battle. We will begin to touch the spiritual. And that is different for each soul. But God will only allow what you can handle.

We live in a very spiritual age. We might play a greater roll in this than we think.

    prayers to all
    :)

So true fallen saint. I will never forget my first 3 am spiritual attack. It started in a dream state but when I awoke, the evil was still down and holding me down in bed with a weight and strength I had never felt before. It came one night after I had completed my 33 day consecration to Jesus through Mary via the St. Demontfort method. I was not afraid at all and knew exactly what to do. It was a test and I instantly called on our Mother for help. I began to say a Hail Mary and before I even finished her name, the evil was gone. It was a very startling situation to say the least, but again I remember no fear in the moment and knew exactly what to do in that moment. That was so many years ago now but an experience I will never forget. Like you said, God allows this so we must go with it, use it and learn from it. At the end of the day His will be done!

I had a dream early this morning where I was on a highway near my home. I was driving my car and I was stopped in the middle of the road. A deceased lady friend of mine ran up to my car and tried to get me to take a 20 dollar bill. I kept telling her I didn't need that money. There were cars all backed up behind me but she was still standing there, holding that twenty. I woke up and I figured it out. She was trying to give me money to have Masses said for her. So I had three Masses said for her this morning. I ordered them online at Seraphic Mass Association. She has been gone for 2 years. I think about her once in awhile but I have never had Masses said until today. I knew her from church, and Adoration. May her soul rest in peace now.

This past summer I had an experience involving our indoor cat (we also have an outdoor cat).

This particular summer night (2021), Trixie was curled up on a corner of the bed, partly covered with a blanket.

I got up to use the lady's room. Slipped on my flipflops. Walked to the bedroom door. Stepped into the short hallway.

Halfway to the bathroom I see Trixie -- a dark shadow of a cat -- exiting the bathroom. (n) A steady cat's pace. She doesn't see me, and turns right (towards the kitchen). At hallway's end she veers left, curving around husband's recliner chair; disappears.

It's impossible that she could've gotten up from the bed (I'd have heard her soft landing on the floor), gone into the bathroom, and be coming back out (why? neither food nor litter box in there) of the bathroom in that short amount of time. o_O

Despite that, I hurry back to the bedroom. I am HOPING she is NOT on the bed.

    She is.

Cold chills went racing up and down my back. :X3: I wanted to awaken husband, but he's disabled and needs his sleep.

I prayed and PRAYED all the remainder of that night. I've never said so many Our Fathers and Hail Marys! :giggle:

Maybe you were seeing what she was dreaming of. Kind of like a dream projection.

Or maybe you need to take her to church and get her baptized. Preferably with full immersion.

Back in 1970, when I was in junior high, one of the girls in a lower grade died of complications from juvenile diabetes. She was Baptist; the whole school went to her funeral -- first time I'd been in a Baptist church. I remember the next few Sundays offering up her name at Mass when we come to the part where we remember the dead. And then, off and on, I'd remember to pray for her at Mass. Looking back, the fact that I remembered her name should have surprised me, since I can't remember anyone else's name from junior high. Then, for the past 15-20 years I was remembering her at every Mass.

Three years ago, I realized that maybe she was reminding me to pray for her because since her family is Baptist, they wouldn't be praying for her. I might have been the only one remembering her in prayer. So I went to the church office and had a Mass said for her. The very next Sunday after the Mass was said was the first time in years that I had not felt the prodding to pray for her, and I haven't felt it since. I think she made it!

Last night I dreamed of my father's eldest sister, Lillian.

We were not close with my father's family (mother was jealous for only wanting to spend time with hers).

This is the second time only that I've dreamed of Aunt Lillian, and within a year's time.

In the first dream I'm surprised to find her the cashier at a grocery store check-out line I've gotten into. She would be far too old to work (!!), but there she is, scanning groceries. We greet each other and chat.

In last night's dream I'm again in a grocery store. A voice to my right asks if I recognize the elderly woman removing an item off a shelf. I say no. The voice informs me "It's your Aunt Lillian. She's 104 years old." That would be her approximate age now.

Aunt Lillian looks over at me. I step over to greet her. We're both happy to see each other.

Aunt Lillian then asks that I go for a drive with her (--driving!!). I say yes. She drives excellently!

We proceed down a Midwestern road. She's imparting bits of wisdom to me, as though I'm very young (a 56-year-old would be to a 104-year-old, I guess). We continue chatting. The dream fades.

I awake feeling very peaceful. :)

Aunt Lillian was a lifelong Lutheran. Both sides of my family are Protestant going back many generations.

This has me very curious (not the religious aspect), as -- again -- I wasn't allowed to be close to my father's family, and I moved far away in my mid-20s.

To Aunt Lillian: If you're stepping up to be my guardian angel, A-OK. And I hope to see you in a dream again, soon!

She is praying for you. How wonderful to discover an intercessorfrom your family. I would say prayers for her. She may well not need them but they won't go to waste.
