A quick update. My fevers have continued but seem to be calming a little. A chest xray has one of my doctors concerned for pneumonia and I am getting the full IV antibiotic regimen. Still no answers on the biopsy they did on my throat sore but now they are talking about putting a feeding tube into my stomach since I have not eaten anything since the 8th. The girls are being troopers but I can tell it is making them very sad that they can not come see me. What I would give to be able to drink a liter of cool refreshing water. Sorry I dont post often, I am in and out a lot.

Sorry I missed this Don, I am praying for your recovery. What an awful ordeal it has been for you, I pray that you will be able to avoid the feeding tube, and for good biopsy results.
Me too Don, I missed this until now. I said a rosary for you and your family already and you all will remain in my prayers. I'm praying that it is something very treatable like thrush which dexamethasone mouth rinse can help greatly but then again you have stated your throat and not your mouth. Thrush can affect the throat too but I'm just not certain that a mouth rinse would be useful then. I made it home today thanks in part to all of you. I am not out of the woods but the steroids and antibiotics knocked down the fever and whatever auto immune reaction caused my airway issues enough to get me stabilized and allow me to come home thanks be to God. I can eat and drink water again without choking. Hold your loved ones tight and remember that these things happen fast and sometimes just come out nowhere. In these times chances are if you are committed to hospitalized care you won't be allowed loved ones around you. Sadly that's just the lay of the land with all the threats we are facing. I think from the beginning of this ordeal until the end I was tested 8 times at various intervals for Corona and all 8 times came back negative.
