The fear of the lava flow reaching the ocean has nothing to do with a landslide/tsunami risk. The acids and heat in the lava combined with the salts in the sea water can cause localized “explosions,” yes, but the concern is regarding toxic clouds that would form and possibly float over populated areas. Those fumes are deadly, as well as the microscopic volcanic glass dust that gets in the lungs, and they can also cause a caustic acid rain.

But the lava reaching the ocean is not itself a concern regarding a possible landslide.

yes all above right...but if the lava reaching the sea at the right spot causes steam to rise up the fracture line of the cracks formed by the last volcano it will be like the lid of a pot being forced off..

lol Brian I feel like im stalking you :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::oops:

The results show a 1 km thick top resistive layer overlaying an area of reduced resistivity (enhanced conductivity), interpreted as a layer consisting of an alteration zone and also fluids. Our results confirm previous studies that suggested the existence of a western flank lying over collapse debris material

More here from a study in 2010 ..if you fancy a read...

Conclusions of that study seem to suggest that the previous mega tsunami theory is no longer likely to be the case, unless I'm interpreting it wrong.

yes it seemed they were trying to debunk the landslide theory but its not an exact science I think the best way to look at it is ..there is definitely a fault line and they suggested it would be a very long time before a new eruption and they also suggested a lot of factors need to be right ...my bottom line is all what they say is needed to tick the boxes for a perfect scenario :whistle: well im watching it right now live on camera (y)(y)

I’ve been watching this since the tremors on La Palma started, mid last week, a number of days before the actual volcanic eruption started on Sunday. Honestly I’ve been keeping an eye on La Palma literally for 25 years.

Likewise, I informed my friend here where I live on January 1st, 2020, the day we both moved in here, that something very grave was developing in China, and I had a deep foreboding about it going worldwide. This was several weeks before it broke into the MSM, as my friend here in Virginia has since reminded me several times.

I hate to say it, but I’ve had that same sense of deep foreboding since I heard the initial reports of tremors on La Palma last week.

My best friend knew a woman who lived on Long Island for decades. She kept having a recurring nightmare about water inundating the east coast for years. She finally was so shaken by it, she moved up to western Massachusetts near the National Divine Mercy Shrine in Stockbridge. Her nightmares immediately ceased.

To this day, I still have a certain sense of phobia about being on the east coast, since the vivid tsunami dream I had twenty years ago. There’s simply no way I could ever live by the ocean now, for that reason.

another thing I should have added which came to me today..If someone had of told me back in 2010 that I would be sitting on a web site watching La palma on a live stream talking to like minded people full of wisdom I would have laughed out loud...Its no coincidence brothers and sisters that we are all here but Gods will..thank you Jesus and Our most Holy Mother. how special is this forum (y)

Latest news 15 mins ago La laguna being evacuated..

The eruption continues with lava fountains from the new vent that opened last night and continuing lava flow emission. During the past hours, volcanic tremor has increased significantly, suggesting that output rate has increased or something else is changing. It will probably become clearer in the next hours what is happening.
