I have not watched news since Ash Wednesday 2020. Never went back. If I happen to hear the news while in a doctors office, I very quickly feel the loss of peace from hearing it. But I do go on telegram and follow everything about COVID and the vaccine injuries and upcoming mandates all around and locally. When I do, I tend to lose my peace. That’s when I realize I’m not praying enough. Keeping my eyes on Jesus and holding the hand of our Blessed Mother gives me a peace this world will never give.
Just like some of you have written on this thread, I too have chosen to do what little I can to conquer this fear and evil. I just agreed to teach religious Ed to 3rd graders in my Parish. I almost walked away from the Parish cause it has many liberal tendencies ….but given the opportunity to teach young children the Catholic Faith I believe is something God wants me to do right here in my parish.

The more I focus on loving and caring for those in my family friends and community, the more I feel protected from this evil.

As I’m sitting here in the hair salon, I am listening to ladies speaking about all things COVID…and I’m thinking to myself…how blessed I am to be talking with all of you instead of partaking in their stressful conversation. Just like you said in this thread….the more I talk about these issues going on in the world, the more I’m not really saying anything new and consequently lose my peace and not adding anything of value.

I know this is very wordy from someone who doesn’t say much…but I love you all and know you get me.

Totally agree Rosalie. The news is kryptonite to me. I too come here to be with like minded faith filled Catholics. The more I focus on my faith and on God the more at peace I am.

I hate to say this, but for me at least, it’s definitely time to back off. Especially on the Covid issue. But even on the subject of prophecy and world events.

We’re at the point that anyone who was wise and open minded enough to be red pilled, has been.

We’re at the point of diminishing returns.

The amount of time and effort required to red pill one single individual now far outweighs the time taken from our family and our children and the duties of our state in life. IMHO.

Diabolical disorientation has ratcheted up exponentially, it’s become universal, and we mortals simply cannot keep up.

Better to back away now and concentrate on our own soul and the souls of those we love.

For myself, I’ve started volunteering with a well known and well regarded Catholic periodical and I just volunteered to teach high school CCD at my local parish. That’s enough to keep me busy.

But for me at least, it’s time to walk away from social media, and the news, both world news and Catholic news, and just live a simpler Catholic life.

Please pray about this and see where you’re being led too.
