Hi all, I'm new to this forum.

I am so worried that we are no longer in a time of mercy and my last mortal sin wasn't forgiven in the confessional.

I know Malachi martin talked about the third secret being contained in Daniel 12. Where it talks about Jesus sacrifice ending for three and a half years .

Scripture implies only Jews can convert during this period.

And my interpretation that people get marked when they fall into sin ??

Anyway , I'm worried I'm on my way to hell. I've been doing novenas for hope , but no, nothing for reassure.

    Pray for me

But it's more, I think the time of mercy is over and we are in " the day of the lord "

Hi I understand your worry, but you have to start to see that as you grow closer to God the devil temps you in different ways also. Fear and despair is one of those ways especially thinking you are not going to be forgiven. To help, I would go back to that sin and break it down. Number 1, was it Mortal? 2 Were you sorry and wish you hadn't done it? 3 Did you confess it and were absolved of it by the Church? 4 Are you going to stay away from all temptation to this sin and resolved to never do it again? If so, you must trust in God to forgive as He promised. I think the Time of Mercy being over with, as you refer to, is more about persons who REFUSE to convert and come to the Lord in the first place, not those who already love the Lord and are working out their salvation as you are. If you still have fear, go through your daily sins and pray to the Holy Spirit each night before bed and be sure that you have acknowledged ALL your sins. You may be committing a sin that you are refusing to acknowledge and still committing, and if that is the case, it may be God allowing you to be fearful to bring you to repentance and perfection.

    Welcome to the Forum, Padrepiofan!:)

Be reassured that you are fine. The priest gave you absolution, correct? He was acting in accord with Church teaching; his personal holiness is not an issue. Nothing can hinder or prevent this.

You repented. You trust in Jesus' promise of Mercy and you fulfilled your penance.

Be at peace. This temptation is from the evil one. Reject it.

    Jesus, I trust in You!

Welcome to the forum Padrepiofan. All very good advice here. I would just add that perhaps what you are experiencing is the ‘guilt’ from your sin. I experienced this myself after committing a grave sin. I confessed it but I was so guilt ridden, that I went back to the same Priest and confessed it again. He told me that my sin is forgiven but that the guilt can sometimes stay with us longer. Hope this helps.:)

The "time of mercy" can sound confusing, as if there will later be a time period during which there will be no mercy or forgiveness...but that's a misunderstanding. The day of justice will be the 2nd coming of Christ and Final Judgment. Jesus has said on many occasions to His saints that His mercy is available to all who call on Him, up to their last moment of death. This will always be the case, until the Final Judgment. Please don't worry; place your full confidence in God's mercy. To deny ourselves that mercy, whether through fear or despair, is the worst thing we can do and hurts Jesus' sacred heart very deeply. He died so that you could have mercy and forgiveness. Comfort His heart by showing Him His death was not in vain. He loves and wants to forgive you, and indeed has already through the priest's absolution.

That time has not yet come.

Trust me, you will know when the time of grace has ended.

It will be evident to everyone, and I worry that many will not care, and even then not amend their lives.

The piece of Scripture that always reassured me the most was from Isaiah.

'Even though your sins be red as Scarlet I will make them white as snow'.

That's me in a nutshell , red as scarlet. There's not one of the ten commandments I didn't break the worst several times.

This is a definite promise from God no ifs or buts about it .

The devil is playing with your mind in this disregard him by laughing in his face and getting on with your life.

Believe me, if he could forgive me he could forgive anyone

I believe the time of Mercy ending refers to the fact that many, many millions will at that time be dead, gone to Judgement and to the place apportioned to them.

There is always mercy for the living if they call upon the Lord.

Don't despair, that is often from the devil. There are more chastisements to follow and God sends them to punish but also to make us turn to him, we have not had all those chastisements yet.

Welcome to the forum and get under Mary's Holy mantle the new ark.

    God Bless.

Your doubts don't come from God.

God is loving and merciful. There is great joy in heaven when we admit our sin and confess.

Heaven is full of repentant sinners.

Peter promised Christ that he would never deny him yet for fear he broke this promise he repented and was forgiven; St. Paul participated in the martyrdom of St. Stephen, yet converted, he became a great apostle of Christ.

I recommend that you read Psalm 51 (penitential) a few times during the day; the heart of the message contained in it is that the sacrifice that pleases God is a contrite and humbled heart.

“All grace flows from mercy, and the last hour abounds with mercy for us. Let no one doubt concerning the goodness of God; even if a person’s sins were as dark as night, God’s mercy is stronger than our misery. One thing alone is necessary; that the sinner set ajar the door of his heart, be it ever so little, to let in a ray of God’s merciful grace, and then God will do the rest.” (No. 1507) E3E6F991-B77E-45C4-A437-A0DAF153F1ED.jpeg

I think it's more that I'm worried that there's no forgiveness of sins in the last three and a half years of earth.

As Daniel 12 said the sacrifice will come to an end
And chapter 13 of the apocalypse talks about unforgivable sin

    That's why I'm worried
