I believe the picture she is referring to for “ protection “ for your family is one being sold on her Facebook page.

Per security, we have one forum member I believe who said they would have security for a cancelled priest stated to speak so maybe it's not that rare.

It really was. Our prayer group traveled to another state to meet CG and hear her talk. I like others had heard that she had special gifts of prophecy, but none of us had ever actually met her or heard her talks. We were aware of her houses of prayer.
I was struck by her comments from a previous post here that the people from her Ohio house of prayer did not respond to her or her message and she made such negative comments about not being accepted by the Ohio group.
When one has actually had a experience from that particular house of prayer, you can certainly understand why she wasn’t embraced. It was not spiritually enriching at all. Being told to donate to be protected was insulting to all of us….
Our trip home was not a minute too soon.

    refer to Christys post earlier:
“Gallagher's October 29 message warned of terrible things happening in "the Americas" because people did not support Christina Gallagher's "House of Prayer" in Ohio:

"Woe unto the people of the Americas: there were none of you who desired to help in My Mother’s Houses that were given for your protection. You were too busy living lives of the world and in sin. Many of those who did come, came only to partake of its goods, to steal – with no thought or interest to live My call and that of My Mother.

(Jesus then referred in stark terms to the wrongdoing against His Mother’s House in Ohio ….) … and there were only four people who worked in my Mother’s Houses in the Americas who were genuine.

The world will endure unbearable suffering because of its lack of response.
People, if only you had listened and responded, it would be so very different.

He who had an authority over this Mission used his voice and pen to bring its fruitfulness for souls to an end. Woe unto him who is united in the darkness of such evil..."”

Well, perhaps this priest had threats, I don’t know.
Where Christine G. Is concerned, it was us who felt threatened….that we needed to donate money to her if we wanted protection. You had to be there to understand. Before this experience, I was inclined to believe she was a valid, yet unapproved seer. After that encounter…..Noooooo way! This is just my experience and my opinion. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

I still have a few Conyers Madonna cards. I mean, honestly, where else am I going to find this? And purchased there.

When I see long, rambling ‘messages’ with a lot of vague-sounding platitudes I switch off. Authentic messages are to the point. Fatima, Lourdes, Akita…

Julia Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.

I am sorry to hear you had a bad experience when you went to hear this lady speak. Two of my cousins went to the house of prayer in Achill Island, and because they were not granted one on one time to speak to Christina, they came away convinced she was a fraud. One of those cousins has already died after a long illness, nothing to do with the visionary. But Peggy now knows the truth, she is on the other side.

Also another cousin of mine took her fallen away Catholic nephew to Medjugorje as part of a trip around Europe. She came away convinced Medjugorje is a sham. Incidentally that cousin has also passed on. She was in her nineties and no one lives forever. She now knows the truth. Incidentally this cousin in the last days of her life turned the parish Priest away using the F bomb and other vile language. This is indeed a surprise when you hear she was the upper crust in society, and boy didn't she know it. I do still pray for the repose of her soul. The nephew my second cousin is still fallen away.

I too had a bad experience at Medjugorje the last time I went. But call this the jewel in the crown, because suffering is what we deserve for our sins not miracles and signs and heavenly treats. It was not the fault of God, or the Medjugorje visionaries one of whom I support in their charity. But have never given so much as a brass farthing to the house of prayer, but I do include the Irish visionary in my prayers.

As yesterdays readings warned do not despise those who come with news from Heaven. Discern, and discern, and discern. Don't forget by their fruits shall we know them. And I have been amazed at how many prophesies over the years have come to pass from this lady. IMHO

    Keep Watch and Pray.

I honestly don't really know anything about Conyers. I believe the seer there has since died, is that correct.

The problem I have these days is we hear the Bishops are a bunch of rogues who think the Sixth Commandment does not apply to them, as long as they don't use women. Some don't seem to believe in the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, some don't believe in hell. And now there is serious doubt as to whether the Pope is even a Catholic.

Perhaps the only safe thing to do is keep our eyes fixed on Jesus Christ. Pray, Hope and Don't Worry as Saint Pio used to say.

    Dear Julia,

I appreciate your comments about CG. I pray that I’m wrong about our experience. Our group had high expectations and a high opinion of her before her event. We just left very disillusioned and frankly, a bit put off by the protection for pay sells pitch.

Even with our negative opinion, it still is just a opinion. I’m sure that not everyone leaves these events with the same impression as we did. And I must keep open the fact that possibly we are wrong. I can only relay what occurred while our group was there. This too was long before the media reports about her luxurious life style. I’m sorry, but I couldn’t ever imagine any legitimate seer with home/homes such as she has….maybe I’m wrong? It’s just off putting to me, but that doesn’t make me right, just offering my opinion. I probably would have reserved comment on her prophecy if the question was isolated to just that. That wasn’t a issue for us, except where she attached negative consequences for those who did not financially support her…that’s what triggered my response. It kills me when I think folks are conned out of their money especially by those requesting it in Gods name. Again, I acknowledge that I could be wrong. I’m not just trying to discredit her, especially since my comments are only based upon my one time personal encounter…not multiple incidents.

Regardless, all of us, not just CG are accountable before God and the only judgement that really matters isn’t mine, it’s His.
I hope I can pass the test myself….

Yes I agree with you, the dire warnings given to those who do not support her are very off-putting. I met her and visited Achill in the early years and I was impressed by her but something seems to have changed along the way.
It's not necessary for my faith to follow Christine so I give her a wide berth. God bless her and guide her. Seers asking for money is a very risky thing.

That she asks for money does not lead to the logical conclusion that she is a fraud. To produce and ship everything costs money. It might be evidence she might be.

We have to pay money to get a bible. Also many translations are copyrighted. Priests and religious have to have shelter, clothes and food. Yet we do not complain that we have to pay for the support of the Church.

Even Jesus called people fools in gospels. He didn't mean it as a pejorative but a descriptor. Folly is something objective, not always an insult.

I don't affirm she is a true prophet, but I hesitate to call her a false one, because if she is a true one, it's not her we would be scourging but Jesus himself. Even if we are convinced she is a fraud we would be objectively persecuting Jesus through her. Even if it's not an imputable sin the last judgement will be painful if we discovered we were wrong.

    I share your views Thomas.

I have no attachment to Christina - I read her posts when people that I respect bring them up (Julia is one of them). I take the good and leave the rest. So I'm not defending her, but I wanted to post a few thoughts about money.

It's a touchy subject that puts me off too. I can think of one speaker who brings the sale of items into talks (I won't name any names) but I still listen to him/her because I know that the Spirit is still with this person and I have received Graces through some talks. One example: I was struggling with fasting for a while and through a talk by this person, I was given the grace to resume again.

So at what point does the Spirit of God leave if a seer or servant is anxious about money for their mission? I don't know. I'm convinced that there is a way to obtain money and what we need by total trust in God, à la Mother Teresa, but not many of us are Holy like she was!

I know several people who won't step into the Catholic Church because of the "money scandals". And it bother me that since Churches opened up last year after quarantines, parishes are so concerned about the drop in collections because of reduced attendance. More than once since last summer my prayer after communion has been interrupted by announcements that include financial reports before the blessing!

There is a priest whose writings I love and read often, Fr Ottavio Michelini, and in those locutions, Christ asked him to stop collecting money during mass. He describes money as a mercenary tie for many priests! He even says that for many priests (not all), there is no purity of intention when they accept money and those priests are not united with Him during the Mass but to Satan! This reminds me of the Malachi prophecy that was mentioned in another post recently, where the Lord complains about lack of purity in priests. In the locutions to Fr Michelini, Jesus says that the absence of all money will be an important reform in his renewed Church.

Despite what the Lord says about money at mass, He is still with His priests, so probably also with many of His prophets even if they are not perfect in this regard.

If the reasons you cite applied to CG, I would agree. However asking for donations and threatening that if you didn’t would result in personal negative consequences as what happened at her event is quit different.

Your comment, “ Even if we are convinced she is a fraud we would be objectively persecuting Jesus through her.“ is offensive. I would highly doubt that Jesus feels persecuted if one calls attention to a so called prophet using these despicable methods to raise money in His name…and possibly for her personal enrichment.

Our entire group was very upset about this….and justly so. I highly doubt that Jesus would apply negative consequences to anyone who didn’t financially support His ministry while He was on earth. I was there…my comments make no assertion as to if her prophecies are legit or not. And it’s not uncommon for seemingly valid prophets in the past to have done the same relative to solicitation of donations.

It doesn’t help her image that she lives a very lucrative lifestyle if numerous media accounts are accurate.
It resembles the opulent lifestyle of very wealthy mega church leaders….not good optics for any legitimate prophet.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe that her bishop was not supportive of her. I would need to check this, but that’s my memory.
Feel free to ignore my experience, but that is what happened to a group who had formally had a high opinion of her. Saying we were disappointed would be a understatement.

I did not put a lot into what this one speaker said when I saw her speak. She did speak at a Spanish speaking Catholic church and I got one of her books. I am not saying she is false either but I definitely had questions. Maybe I should actually read what she was saying. That publishing company, Queenship, must have a lot of these kinds of books. As I have previously said, I went into a bookstore once, Catholic but it was all locutions, apoaritions, mystical, not much mainstream.

Patsy Soto, she was ok. I found a negative view of her inline. I really haven't heard anything about her in years and years.

She quotes Wisdom so at least that's our Catholic Bible.

Yes, and interestingly, the icons painted by Josyp Teryla are used.

So, I post this because I think some of this is in the same mode of some other current day seers and those receiving locutions. Kind of a fun night out.

I've thumbed through my book and read bits but I've never really gotten into it.

Christina has suffered the stigmata it seems to me (see pictures on the web, search for "Christina Gallagher stigmata".)

Anyway, these are just basics I know. I don't like to comment unless I'm fairly well-versed in the whole matter, what they say and so on.

That lady from Soufanieh, Syria also bared some of these marks. I have no way to judge this. (see Our Lady of Soufanieh, a Christian part of Damascus I believe).
