Jack Cassidy, I assume he is from Ireland... selling in Catholic goods stores (there happens to be an American Jack Cassidy who sings Christian music... I think the two are different, the American indeed is related to David and Sean Cassidy, teen music some decades ago)...

Do some people call "Taize" centering prayer?? I don't know what that means really, I think in part, it is repeating the same thing over and over....

only one minute, thirty five seconds... nice and simple.

I saw it when it came out and just remember being disappointed with the movie. I did however recently buy the DVD for a nice price - I figured I would give the movie another shot. I’ve also given up TV and live off of watching my Catholic movies on dvd. Not that I get a chance to watch very often ...

This is a popular book on Medjugorje by the late Father Richard J. Beyer, he went over there to investigate according to write-ups on him in the late '80s and I gather was convinced that something was happening. His daily reflections always seem to have something interesting. For July 7th, he does quote the Desiderata and urges one to reflect on it.

    Recent version:

That book has all kinds of wisdom in it, all kinds of references even if one wasn't into the reported Medjugorje apparitions. I think it's profound. I've purchased 2 of them and probably should get another one because my present one got caught in a rainstorm and the pages are stiff but it is totally readable.

This song will debut at the upcoming St. Joseph Summit

    By CNA Staff

    Washington D.C., Jul 8, 2021 / 11:15 am

The upcoming Saint Joseph Summit will feature the debut of the “Song of Saint Joseph,” a new original song by Catholic musician Donna Lee.

“It’s not just a song, it’s a prayer,” said Lee in a press release announcing the recording. “My hope for this song, not just being the theme song for the Saint Joseph Summit, is that when people hear it they will be inspired to learn more about Saint Joseph.”

The song will be scored in a manner that makes it suitable for choir directors to use in ministry settings, according to the press release. The song lyrics include the novena prayers and litany to St. Joseph.

    That's really nice!

Michael Rowed the Boat Ashore - The Highwaymen, what a great song.

Swing Low, Sweet Chariot - Sam Cooke

    Steal Away - Sam Cooke

Sam Cooke's group before he struck out on his own were the "Soul Stirrers" who were considered real legends.

Sam became quite a tragic story, hard to fathom these years later.

And Lonnie Donegan singing "Michael Rowed The Boat Ashore"...
