  1. "And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."...St Paul

"Let nothing disturb you, nothing frighten you, all things are passing, God is unchanging. Patience gains all; nothing is lacking to those who have God: God alone is sufficient.”....St Theresa

    John 14:27
27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

    “He is risen!,”
    “He is risen, indeed!"

Filled to overflowing with peace and joy this Easter season, if only we listen to the one who gives us peace.

God is so present right now--so merciful calling us to His Son. Preparing us. At least this is what I experienced these past weeks. First a beautiful movie about St Faustina and the Divine Mercy. Then I watched (2d time) the documentary about Sister Clare Crockett. This time around it touched me so deeply i was moved to tears. "Jesus died for me! He loves me!" In the midst of her very worldly youth Jesus reached into her soul. Her short life was remarkable and inspiring. Then Sat. Night I watched a movie about St Kateri Tekawitha. I was blown away once more by the grace of God blasting through that violent pagan culture and lifting her to Himself. And the brave young priest who withstood harassment and threats to keep preaching the gospel to her village. Astounding amazing grace. And now Fr Thomas Byles the priest aboard the Titanic.(a new thread) My cup overflows with the immensity of God's love. It makes me think of the old hymn "How Can I keep from singing"

Will you tell me the title of the movie about St. Faustina you watched? I want to watch more Catholic movies, but I hesitate to buy because some of them are not well-acted or poorly written. Like the St. Rita movie...it was incredibly dramatic and almost entirely secular.

EWTN had Love and Mercy on the night before Divine Mercy Sunday. It was shown in theaters before COVID hit. A beautiful movie about Faustina and the Divine Mercy

Do you know about Formed? Tone of great Catholic content on there. Many of our parishes were giving out subscriptions the year before covid.

According to this, you can use Chromecast without Wi-Fi: https://www.lifewire.com/use-chromecast-without-wi-fi-4174601

I confess to being a tech idiot so it makes very little sense to me. I think I have a Chromecast gadget (which I have never used), but the article on that website refers to a Chromecast app. so maybe the gadget isn't necessary. The instructions are on the Lifewire website. I'm afraid I don't know what Lifewire is, but the website might have a solution for you.

I appreciate this, but I'm afraid what they're saying might as well be a foreign language, for all I understand of it! :ROFLMAO: I don't own a computer or tablet of any kind, and my TV is over 10 years old, so not even close to "smart." We use it to watch dvds, as we don't get any channels at all. We like it this way, simple and safe for our children's innocence. My husband and I both have a smartphone to access what we need on the internet, and that's it. So I know the word "streaming" but know absolutely nothing about it, haha.

    You sound like me Dolours!
All this techy stuff is very much gobbledegook.

At times I really wish I had more knowledge of current technology, because when things go pear shaped, I'm at a loss and regrettably become scared!

About 6 weeks ago I drove to Sydney alone! (as I have done for the last 7 years, as my husband is disabled and does not want to venture anywhere beyond our four walls on our property) Sydney is a 7 hour drive. I visited 5 of our children and many of our grandchildren. It was wonderful!

However, I was a nervous wreck, while driving.

I own an iphone 5 and my apple and google Nav ladies (on the phone) that are supposed to tell you where you are going had me lost for hours the last time I visited Sydney, telling me to take this or that road and then saying take a Uturn in such and such klms, in back streets, using all my petrol etc, I was distressed, this time some of my children are living in different suburbs:eek: so I was even more distressed at the beginning of the adventure, Sydney is Ginormous with multiple 3 lane roads, lights and cars everywhere, it was very scary!

Good news I survived thanks be to God and got to my destinations, was able to deliver my grandson to his school and pick him up two suburbs away, while my daughter was in hospital having our 10th grandchild.

I give all credence to St Joseph for this marvellous feat, however my children do not understand any of my concerns and think it's rather humorous.

I am an immigrant to this hi tech world, I don't understand the language, nor any ways to override dilemmas which present themselves, which I apparently should know!

I realise I need to become more tech savvy, However, Lets hope and pray this necessity will be outlawed by someone soon!

Haha! It doesn't matter if you're tech savvy or not; sometimes your navigator is just going to take you in circles! It's happened to me many times!

Protonmail is supposed to be safe but I think ALL email is being surveilled. I made an account but still mostly use gmail. And as far as messenger app's go, Telegram (which I use) is supposed to be very safe and I've also heard Signal is a safe app. My hubby is the techy, I just ask him dumb questions all the time :D
