Dreadful. You can feel the persecution coming. My youngest daughter had an incident at work recently. One of her coworkers announced that he 'hated Catholics '. She was so upset she had to leave the room.

 

Ever since the attack on statues of Our Blessed Mother this summer it really seems like things are in motion; you’ve got to wonder how far gone are these people? How depraved and hard-hearted are they?

As Gina Carano pointed out, genocides are often carried out at the hands of one’s own neighbour, you can be on really good terms with your neighbour one day and the next, he’s coming at you with a machete for being in the wrong tribe; it’s a very disturbing thought, but it may be coming, it may be our near future...

 

I've considered converting to Judaism as an official "being one of the Tribe" ... so I can be hated on three counts: White, Catholic, AND Jewish. Would still be a practicing Catholic btw.

Give them EVERY reason to want to kill me, make it extra worthwhile.

 

Keep in mind that MOST of the migrants coming from Mexico and Central America are Catholic.

Apparently the Open Borders folk haven't taken that into consideration.

I've known this for a long time. If you read the comments section on anything to do with the church e.g. this week in Ireland requests to bring back public Mass the hatred is off the charts. The Church brought that anger on itself though the vitriol directed at all Catholics isn't justified.

Yes, our persecution is upon us. but here comes the hardest part...our Lord wants us to Love them anyway, as they persecute us. That's going to be a tough row to hoe, but with His Grace, all things are possible

 

You know the scene in the film Zulu where the warriors start appearing along the horizon and their number keeps increasing. I'd say we're at that stage of the persecution.

 

You are, unfortunately, spot on. Read about Rwanda, those who committed the atrocities reportedly didn't even remember doing it after the family described what they did in fact do #DiabolicalDisorientation

It's why the wisest course now is to simply not engage those who are so far gone now, not directly anyway, just pray for them. That's our most effective weapon, but don't confront them or you'll make yourself a target

I will still promote the idea of holy cenacles, small groups of Catholics bound together in prayer and fellowship. Soon this opportunity will be overwhelmed. I hope, FP, that you've taken such a step forward. In another 2 years such a holy venture will have little chance of traction. The noose will have tightened too much. We must now be practical to aid the younger generations.

....as an aside, I havent seen that movie in years! Yeah, quite a scene. As another aside, the film stock on that film looks so rich and vibrant, compared to how films look today. Movies now look too murky. I digress.

It does seem like for most people, the only option is to hunker down and prepare for the onslaught. We must take refuge in the Immaculate Heart of Our Lady, and ask Her to help us accumulate Her Son’s grace.
