    Thanks for sharing this. I've always had a soft spot for the Carmelites, my birthday is the day after the feast of our Lady of Mt. Carmel.

    I always thought that the pious Tradition that Our Lady visited the hermits on Mount Carmel was very romantic.

    Reminds me of the Traditions surrounding Mt Athos

    Ditto. I was baptised on the feast day. Only found that out by chance after a few years of strong nudges to be enrolled in the Brown Scapular. Special devotion to St Teresa Benedicta aka Edith Stein.

    St.Therese brought me to Carmel. I was born in Mt.Carmel hospital in Detroit! (smiling)
