Does anyone know why Mass hasn't been offered on the main Papal altar since pachamama was there? Because that happened months before Covid...
This was an excellent video! Father Altier was very pastoral and sobering at the same time. It actually uplifted me and I received fortitude in its hearing. Thank you for posting it, Sg. I will be passing it on.
I feel exactly the same. I mean to pass it on as well. And to search out more homilies by this priest.
Thank you, SG, for a great video from a wonderful priest. There is someone on this forum that goes to his Masses, if I am not mistaken. Fr Altier has been called on the carpet by his Bishop for being so outspoken, yet his courage continues to inspire us.
As a follow up: This is the Altar and Sanctuary before which I offered up prayers for all members on this particular thread. The Sanctuary after Mass this AM was exceptionally beautiful! Why some photos get uploaded horizontally I have no idea! But you’ll just need to turn your head sideways because I cannot overcome the glitch as much as I’ve tried. Peace! ~AN
I don't know if you were on board with some of the debate late last year 2019 early 2020; But it was thought by some that the packamama idolatry held at the Vatican was the instigator for corona virus being unleashed on humanity. (Some say 40 days after the idolatry, the virus escaped). Within hours or days of the scandal in Saint Peters (some say the same day ie 6th October, some say within a couple of days), an Angel appeared to sister Sasagawa in Japan and gave a stark warning in effect, "Sack cloth and ash, repentance and prayers of atonement "(for God is mightily offended, thinks Julia). It was thought this message must have been in response to the idolatry at the Vatican. Some say think back to Ninevah and the 40 days. Sister Sasagawa of Akita had not heard from the Angel since the original warnings back in 1973 or thereabouts. And another interesting recent development is the apparitions about Our Lady of All Nations are coming under fire from the CDF, with Mark Marivalle firing back in defence of the apparitions. You may know that the image of Our Lady of Akita was modelled from a picture of Our Lady of All Nations. Now if the lavender mafia at the Vatican want to discredit Akita, with the Akita warnings that were said to be the third secret of Fatima confirmed by Pope Benedict while still a Cardinal, telling us the apostacy will start at the top (Vatican). Would you be surprised to hear the apostates in power would take down Our Lady of All Nations first, and then go after Akita. That is a Julia take on what might be going on, or in the process ready to kill any Heavenly warnings that might have escaped their clutches, where they could get silenced under a mountain of paperwork in some archive, keeping us all in the dark. IMHO Sorry, a bit of a waffle, but I hope you get my point.
Yes, it's interesting you say this about Our Lady of All Nations, because I was reading about this apparition a lot last night and pondering on the fact that it was her statue at Akita, which I had forgotten. I did find it suspicious that OL of All Nations is being ruled less favorably all of a sudden. Our Lady of America was also recently ruled as not being proven of supernatural origin, but is still allowed to be privately venerated. Not necessarily connected, but an important apparition for America, as she requested that her statue be placed in the National Cathedral to protect America in the upcoming chastisements. It just feels frustrating and deflating, these pronouncements from bishops failing to see the supernatural, but of course we must be patient in obedience, as God knows how to work through and around His bishops, however holy or not they are. Anyway, I haven't been on this forum long but I've followed it daily for years... So yes, I was following along during the pachamama nightmare and am absolutely grieved that it was allowed to be venerated, and placed on the main altar! What I hadn't realized until now, though, was that Mass hasn't been celebrated at that altar ever since. That's what I'm wondering about.. I am sure the spiritual reason is that God sees that altar as desecrated, but what is the earthly reason? As in, what would the Vatican give as the reason why no Masses have been offered on that altar since?
Purpleflower, one tiny correction. Our Lady of America asked for the Bishops of the United States to process with her statue into the Basilica of the National Shrine in DC, and place her statue in there. The National Cathedral in DC is an Anglican cathedral, not to be confused with the National Shrine. Our member Lynnfiat is an interested member, as is Richard67. I did hear from them that the rector of the National Shrine said that there were already too many statues of Mary in there. Your guess is as good as mine about the high altar in St. Peter's. Perhaps they are blaming it on the pandemic. That seems to be a recurrent rationale.
It was the discussion from Abp Vigano that brought the lack of Holy Masses being said on the main Altar in Saint Peters to my attention. I was grateful to him for that information not happy to hear it of course; but we are better prepared if we get clues of changes quietly being implemented. To be honest, I don't completely grasp much of what Abp Vigano is saying, and it grieves me to hear him being criticised. He is not claiming to be getting Heavenly messages, he is simply putting his knowledge and experience of what he believes is happening out there for us to ponder. The impression I got was that the High Altar in Saint Peters will not be used until the abomination of desolation is set up over or on that Altar. I suspect or in my opinion that might be one of those devil things you see in America, is it called a baphomet or some other horned beast. IMHO. If that happens, then run for the hills, because Almighty God will rack stannance as my mother used to say, and buts will be kicked in the process. Yes lavender buts as well as common or garden buts. And no doubt heads will literally roll Saint Paul style in the mayhem. All we can do is Keep Watch and Pray. My greatest comfort and peace comes from knowing Jesus saw everything good bad and indifferent that would happen to the end of the world, when He was in the Garden before His betrayal, and He did not give up. He trusted God to the end. So should we.
