It wasn’t a challenge, just giving you opportunity to qualify your statement on a movement objectively without making baseless claims. I wish you a Merry Christmas as well and will continue to include you and all on this forum in my prayers.
It saddens me that Abp Vigano is being excoriated here. He is one of the all too few faithful shepherds who have dared to speak up and be a true guide to the sheep who have been largely abandoned by the hierarchy. Watch/listen to the following interview of Fr Altman by Fr Nix: If you don’t have time, at least watch for a few minutes from the 20min mark. Ponder on the fact that the truly faithful shepherds are all saying the same things for the salvation of our souls. +
Thank you, Frodo. I was starting to feel this way as well and then I read your post here. That had NOT been my experience at all! And I have been exclusively attending the TLM for 14+ years! We are not stereotypes and I am offended in this regard.
Not wanting to offend you..AN, you are not the kind of trad who is extreme. I am not thinking of you in any way detrimental, just with respect. I have no desire to get into any type of a discussion on this because in the past, long threads of contentiousness have occurred. I am bowing out. People sometimes try to win and prove their points so vociferously that division and lack of charity take over. I’m not up for that at my age. I probably have one foot in the grave and another on a banana peel and I’m conscious of meeting God. I admire that you have been exclusively attending the FSSP for 14 years. God has blessed you.
Fr Altier makes reference to the Pachamama bowl being placed on the papal altar (by explicit instruction of PF as you can see in the video) and Holy Mass not being offered at the papal altar ever since. +
I am grateful for your reply, HH. Thank you for writing what you have. I’ll say that I’m glad I was never a part of any discussion of the type of which you have spoken. I love my parish and all the people there. (By the way, it is a full TLM diocesan mission parish established 20 years ago and not FFSP.) Peace.
Absurd? Do you pay attention to social media? This garbage is everywhere and along with it comes the dehumanization of other Catholics who dare to disagree or suggest unity in the body of the church. Where does that lead I wonder..
So those who criticize AB Vigano or defend VII or dare to stand with the pope who AB Vigano continually attacks is not a "faithful shepherd", "true guide", or "truly faithful shepherd"?
Sorry I misspoke. You did tell me it was diocesan and I misspoke. I remember now. We have a diocesan TLM parish close by and I do attend it sometimes. Blessings.
Pope Paul VI died on August 6, summer in Italy, apparently no air conditioning if windows were open. I know I said I was leaving this turn of discussion but I had to comment on that issue.
When I had a Twitter account, I questioned this man about certain things. He and I were not in agreement. Back then, he didn’t seem to be too much of an influencer considering his lower number of followers. Don, you can’t go loosing sleep on this kind of thing. People like this shoot themselves —and what they claim they stand for—in the proverbial foot. They do NOT speak as heralds of authentic Catholic Traditional thoughts. What people choose to showcase on their pages tells more about their own issues than about what they claim they stand for.~AN
That’s an easy mistake, HH. Prayers for you and all here on thread today at Holy Mass for Feast of The Holy Name of Jesus!
Oh my! I had never heard that poor Pope Paul VI had a heart attack that sent him reeling across the room. Sounds more like a diabolic attack. And where did the news come from, that said his dead body stunk like a skunk (not literally). I never heard that before. God have mercy on his poor soul. It all sounds like he was not found in the odour of sanctity, when the Lord came for him. I think Pope Francis has made him a saint.
