Speaking of the Vatican's rules on private revelation, does someone remember the name of that man who wrote a book about discerning private revelations? He based his book, rather pricey, if I remember, on what the Vatican's rules were about private revelation. It's terrible growing old.

I think the man is or was a member of MOG.

If not Peter it could have been Emmet O’Regan? He was a member once too.

 

Again I disagree with you. I did no miracles, God did. I do not have to involve church authorities, when I pray with people. I am representing Jesus Christ. People pray with others, and God heals people all the time. I am not claiming miracles, these miracles happened. I saw some of these miracles myself. I am thankful, God is still in the miracle business. I pray God will bring you peace in your life and your family.

If I can ask you a question to clarify once again:

Why did you once state that you almost were almost possessed, and then years later on this very forum said priests that you talked to during your conversion - which was before you posted the original post claiming otherwise- said that you weren’t?

It still doesn’t make sense to me at all. Why would you say something and later contradict it claiming you knew it and were told it by priests before you had that original post? Something isn’t adding up here.

 

Hello Frodo, no it was neither Peter Bannister nor Emmet O'Regan. He wrote about the prophecy too, but you're right they were both members here too. It was Kevin Symonds, I believe he is a member here as well.

I finally found the book, a very small book. It is in a question and answer format, about 140 pages, many of these blank. It is written to be used with the Vatican's NORMS REGARDING THE MANNER OF PROCEEDING IN THE DISCERNMENT OF PRESUMED APPARITIONS OR REVELATIONS. This is located at the Vatican website,

Verne you are claiming miracles as a result of your praying with/for people. Absent objective evidence, these 'miracles' remain only claims. God can perform miracles any time He chooses, but not all perceived miracles come from God.

I don't want to get into this argument of who is right or wrong, that is not why I am here, at MOG. But I want to thank you, Verne, for your humbleness in sharing your private revelation with us, and to allow us the opportunity to ask you questions about your messages. I doubt some of your claims, but do not doubt God's mercy. So the "doubter" title is not fitting.

Off topic: Two things you said that bother me the most: You wrote God's messages to the world down in a notebook, then put the notebook away and forgot about the messages. Also, the reason you offered for not pursuing an imprimatur was it would turn some people off. You said you wanted to appeal to all people.

I don't get "forgetting" messages from God to the world. I don't get wanting to hide the Catholic brand to please/attract others. (Mother Teresa never hid her Catholicism while she worked, unknown, in the Calcutta slums. Her show of faith, wearing crucifix and rosary, easily could have cost her her life given the hostility of fervent Hindus and Muslims around her.)

Verne, in your post you say "I am representing Jesus Christ." This comes across as you not understanding that none of us can claim to represent Jesus Christ. Only the Pope in Rome has been given the job or title while he is on the Chair of Saint Peter. IMHO

It is my belief that when we see or hear of miracles on our watch, we recognise that Jesus has used us as His INSTRUMENTS, not as representatives.

This is not to criticize you. I just wonder if you are aware the way you express yourself on the internet can be misinterpreted, and I do believe you are sincere and faithful in your love and service of our beloved Lord Jesus Christ. God bless you and keep you, and may His Holy Face shine on you.

Don't be put off by the critics, Jesus was given a hard time Himself in His day as we all know, so too His followers; even by other well meaning fellow Christians.

 

Really, Julia? Charlie Johnson's followers compared his 'sufferings' when he was questioned here to those of the Crucifixion. (I was a lurker then.) We all need to be tried and tested to learn anything, even if it is painful process.

You're right, "I represent Jesus" is problematic. I credit Verne with knowing the import of what he says, however. As an eye doctor (O.D.?), he is in a profession where accuracy is vital.

 

As a person who has conversed with Verne for the past 7+ years and having spent a week with him and his wife this past summer, giving talks in Minnesota and Wisconsin, I was impressed with the power of his prayers, which God touched many through for deliverance and healing. I, along with many dozens of others, watched as his prayers for many were answered by our God, as they relayed to myself and others there. Many broke down and wept from the healings they were given from God via Verne's praying over those who felt the grace of his simple prayers. God made clear in a message to Verne and I, while on the phone one day late summer 2019, that he wanted us to speak in both places and it looked impossible by March 2020 in doing so. Between air flights being canceled because of Covid and many other road blocks to making God's desire seemingly impossible, He made it all happen as he requested. The 50-60 people who attended each event were most thankful for his sharing and praying with them. Many very interesting talks were shared and most present relayed to us they felt God's presence during those meetings/talks. Everyone there asked for and received a copy of the blessed book God Speaks Will You listen, which they were most grateful for. Our trip to Our Lady of Good Help Shrine and attending mass there was a blessing as well.
