Just to tease apart Mark's post here.

The fact that people critique a person or site does not mean that per se they are evil or working for Satan. I often receive critique of the Mother of God Forum for instance and assume (unless I have other evidence ) that the person is well disposed and discern their critque to see where I might be in error. A for instance recently I placed a positive post about a Polish mystic priest. I did not knwo that he was Church condemned , someone pointed this out to me and I removed the post. I was very grateful for the input.

Mark on the other hand appears to be of the fixed opinion that all critique of Countdown of the Kingdom site has its origins in the bowels of hell. I find this very troubling.

Something else I find troubling is the air of s victimhood. I grow so tired of victims recently. I am a victim because I am black, a woman, a transvestite, a Liberal, a sodomite and so on. Mark has joined the ranks of victims. Anyone who asks questions about Countdown to the Kingdom Site is persecuting and slandering Mark because he happens to be a Catholic. I mean really? Not another victim Mark. You can do better than this.

Yet another thing I find troubling if the virtue signalling. The long parade of good works the Countdown to the Kingdom Site has accomplished. Whatever happened to doing your good works in secret?

Yet another thing is the whole air of virtual hysteria that clings to Mark's post. Rather like it is last stand of the Alamo time.I mean really is a bit of criticism the end of the world. I get it all the time. I don't act like all the forces of hell had risen against me.

But anyway I could write much, much, much more.

I am afraid I'm starting to switch of Mark Mallet. But then again since (it would appear) no doubt I'm hand in glove with Satan there are no surprises there.

It must be awful to be a victim. Not only a victim but a mega, mega victim. Hence the hysteria.

I don't mind so much that the Site, 'Countdown to the Kingdom', made several serial serious errors in Discernment. What troubles me most is that they are utterly impervious to correction and hence fixing these things. They roll their wagon trains in a circle and dig in. There is not the least hint of apology, of contrition or, heaven forbid, correction. They just don't seem able to do correction or handle it.

Just an hysterical claim that they are being attacked by all the forces of hell.

This simply won't do. This simply won't do at all. I hope that they can do better than this. But till then I would very much advise avoiding these poor people and their site like the plague.

Rolling the wagon train for Indian attack is no proper response to critique. It's semi hysterical
    negative and unhelpful.

Weird, I didn't read one thing that suggested or implied victimhood. I also didn't read anything that implied people that criticize CTTK are evil or working for satan. They are just discerning messages from seers. Certainly they will be wrong on some of them. I never looked at CTTK site as a baby and bathwater thing. The whole point of discernment is to measure these messages against scripture and church teaching which means some messages may not be in error but may not be from God. This is a huge problem for some readers but I just see what they are attempting to do. It can't be perfect just like none of us are perfect but the general tone appears to be similar to everything we are seeing and reading daily from every source whether Catholic or secular. Is it unreasonable that Jesus and Mary are wanting to warn people of the closeness to the times spoke of in the bible or approved seers messages? The feel of these messages generally from what I have read are pray, confession, communion, rosary, trust, God first etc.... Along with prepare, persecution, tribulation, punishment, sin, evil.... all here or at the door step.

All that being said, I could take or leave CTTK. Some seers I tend to avoid cause they don't speak to my heart. Others help me get a better feel for the times we are in and the efforts I am lacking in doing in my journey.

I can find 5-10 recent threads on MOG that basically are talking the exact same as the messages from most of these seers. Prepare, things are changing fast, get right with God.

I don't see why it has to be so divisive. I also don't see why people would get so mad and offended by a web site. People shouldn't make it personal, it isn't and if you don't get fruit.......

    Respectfully disagree, MMM

Mark Mallett said the Countdown authors talk to each other each day. It sounds like they are living in a bubble to some extent, not talking to people with different outlooks who could challenge or correct them. They do NOT allow comments on Countdown or personal websites...

Look at what Daniel O'Connor wrote last week,

    Dear friends in Christ,

Please forgive me for writing a post about myself, but as you will shortly see, my goal here is actually to be rid of the need to bother you with such a post ever again! For it has now come to the point where scarcely a day goes by without new attacks on me being published somewhere. Less and less often do these articles even attempt to engage my philosophical or theological arguments; they now almost invariably prefer to simply throw calumnies at me, focus on canonical minutiae that the critics themselves prove they do not understand, or twist what I’m saying with out of context quotes. I’ve also become aware that my critics are now even calling the president’s office at the college where I teach. (I should really go into politics if I ever manage to complete the task God has given me in promoting private revelation… I’d be attacked in that realm, too, but the attacks I’d receive in politics would be just, charitable, and honest in comparison to what I receive from the lips of these “good Catholics.”!)

None of this surprises me. I knew that in striving to give Heaven’s messages a greater voice in the Church I would be persecuted. So I am not complaining. Rather, I give thanks to God that, though I am a miserable and unworthy sinner, He has allowed me to suffer for Him. Yes, to suffer for the sake of Christ is what the angels envy us for.

I have a wife and 4 kids aged 6 and under, a job, and my PhD studies to focus on. Beyond that I wish to devote myself to proclaiming the Divine Mercy and the Divine Will. So I am afraid I do not even have time to read, much less respond to, most of the critics. But I will occasionally respond, and even in those cases I do not want to pester my blog followers with a new email each time, so I’m creating a page on this site (dsdoconnor.com/critics) which I’ll update, when necessary, with further responses. Feel free to go to this page and “refresh” it in the future if you’d like to know if I’m responding to the latest attack. (Again, usually I will just let the critics talk).

I will note that a particular website popular in certain liberal Catholic circles — a website dedicated, it seems, to defending and promoting every problematic statement of Pope Francis — has lately become obsessed with attacking me and CTTK. I take this as a a badge of honor, coming as it does from a website that also attacks In Sinu Jesu and the holy priest who received the locutions therein, a website that promotes the heretical interpretation of Amoris Laetitia, a website that attacks even the perfectly valid points that Archbishop Vigano makes, a website that attacks LifeSiteNews, a website that attacks Cardinal Burke and Bishop Strickland, a website that attacks the wonderful work done by TFP, a website that attacks EWTN, a website that has repeatedly defended and promoted last year’s Pachamama Paganism (even saying “Pachamama is the reality of the Incarnation”), a website that explicitly regards St. Louis de Montfort’s prophecies and Our Lady of Fatima’s prophecies as something that could legitimately be (I quote the site verbatim): “...simply brushed aside as private revelation or speculation that we should not worry ourselves too much about. “

While I only expect my critics to grow both in number and in vitriol in the coming times, I will conclude by saying this much: I’m evidently ticking off all the right people. So I guess I’m doing something right. :)

Pray for me, my dear brethren in Christ, and be assured of my prayers for you! I know that so many of you are being likewise attacked in various ways — even if not publicly, at least by circumstances, by relatives, friends, and coworkers, and last but not least by the Devil himself. As Padre Pio said, it is only the Devil’s silence and complacency with what we are doing that should trouble us. The Time of Peace is coming, but it is not here yet. More trials await us, and now is the time for battle. Put on the full armor of God and proceed with courage. Your reward will be great in Heaven, wherein the worst sufferings of this world will seem like nothing compared to the glory to be revealed. Let each trial you must suffer only redouble your resolve to more boldly than ever Proclaim God’s Mercy and God’s Will while there is still time left in the Time of Mercy, which is quickly drawing to a close.

    In Christ, through Mary,

    Daniel

'I didn't read one thing that suggested or implied victimhood'

I suggest that you try rereading Mar's post then.

'But we did foresee that all of the above would draw persecution, mockery, and misunderstanding...'

'...the indignant fear-mongering of those who would sooner stone the prophets than carefully discern them''

'...mockery of the prophetic is out of place'

It goes on and on in the same dramatically self pitying, wildly accusatory, semi hysterical vein

On and on and on...it never lets up for a moment.

...sorry you missed this. I doubt if anyone else who read this did.

    But there you are.

I am just so very, very wearied by victimhood. I really, really am. Everyone's constantly out to get everyone else. Everyone's a victim.

So if you don't get any fruit from CTTK should one move on to greener pastures? Is it God's call to stay and debate endlessly? I still don't see victimhood in the quotes above Padraid, must be me. I have never read Daniel's comments until now, he seems to be reacting to personal attacks which he isn't used too.

Help me out here, why are people that disagree with everything they are doing at CTTK, are 94 pages into a discussion and still reading everything they post? What is the motivation? I don't understand, seriously.

I love cars. I don't like GM cars. I could never imagine staying up on all the latest GM cars so I could spend my time criticizing them on line to prove to others they are crap.

So true Padraid.... Everyone's constantly out to get everyone else....... touché.

I believe that -- this is the return to 'communism' referred to in the Garabandal prophecies - an imposition of socialist control from above --

Once again.. I totally agree with you MMM...If you hate that brand of peanut butter...why are you still eating it? If you dont like CTTK then... cut it loose!?
The criticisms of the site are just plain NASTY. AS I read some of them I can "see' the snarling lip and the fiery eyes. Why??

Okay..you dont like a particular seer or site .Why go for the jugular? In my view persuasion(if thats what your want to do) to your side would be more effective if your criticism were more thoughtful and less MEAN!!

I think that you can critique a message effectively without out killing the messenger. A remark like "that thought process just shows you ignorance"(one of just a few Ive seen here). just lost me even after reading a pretty valid point of view up to that point.

As for Daniel O'Connor"s letter....I think he just had it and blew up!! Sometimes even if you are aware of the cross you were given to carry ..it just gets too darn heavy at the end of the day and you fall down ...even Jesus fell under the weight of his cross...so.. Lighten up folks!!.:);)

I can see MMM that if Mark Mallett & CO set of a nuclear bomb in Canada tomorrow you'd be strongly arguing it was an exercise in Environmental Conservation. I get it, you've nailed your colours to the mast and are going to stick with the good ship till it sinks to the bottom alongside the Captain.

    Good luck with that .

Bye. I'll leave you, David Bowie, Colonel Travis and anyone else who cares to, to hold the Alamo. It's a lost cause.

But what do I know? I'm in League with the forces of Satan & CO.

Off for a walk with the hell hounds.

    Bye.

  19. If a person sees it that someone/some group is doing reckless work pertaining to their dissemination of private revelation, casting upon it a veneer of goodness when, in fact, it is NOT vetted by anyone in proper authority, and is confusing the hell out of a growing number of people (which is denied/never acknowledged), then that person has an obligation before God to speak out on it. Be not afraid!

This is a sign. Some people believe that when the children at Garabandal said that communism, which is a totalitarian form of government comes, they were only alluding to Spain. I believe that Our Lady meant everywhere in the world. Now look at Australia...a sign.
