Lovely to see you Padraig. I was trying to think how long it's been since I met you. I see I joined the forum in 2007 so I think we met in 2008 so that's 12 years ago, whew!!
I have to say you haven't changed at all and what a joy to speak directly to you. I'm smiling since.
This will be a lovely opportunity to make contact with all the saints on this forum.
    God bless
    Mary

With all the saints and a great sinner like myself.;)

I often think of your mother.

I believe the Blessed Mother intends this for the Dark Ti:)mes ahead.

Yes my dear mother passed in 2013. I pray she is now in the heavenly kingdom. Please pray for my brother, Patrick, she worried much about him. Things are not good with him now.

Do they have an in app translator? I need something to translate Irish so I can understand my MOG friends across the pond ;-)

(I used to have a really good ear for foreign accents but the times Padraig and I have tried to talk in the past I was really at a loss to follow the conversation.)

Prayers for Patrick. I have a feeling that in a good Catholic family like yours Mary, that things will only ever go well for you all. They may seem to go bad at times but they can only ever end up well.

Offering up Mass this morning for you and yours.

My brother Conor was at an airport in Texas one time when someone overheard his accent and asked him to speak. A little crowd gathered round him and they kept asked him to keep speaking while they smiled and laughed fascinated.

My brother Conor has the most terrible temper and is a horrific fighter and threatened to punch the next person who asked him to speak.:)

I think that the accent here in Belfast is appalling but the tourists in the cruise ships love it.:)

Thanks for trying Joan. I will keep trying. I think this is part of God's plan.

I had a dream last night I was in a strange city and a group of young men invited me in to talk to me. Two of the men were a little older and hovered in the background. As they were not dressed in clerical clothes , that they were priests. I asked them to pray with me and although they seemed surprised they joined in. I suspect they were seminarians or novices. I was a little surprised at their different stages of spiritual development. Some were well on, some had barely started down the good path.

I had another dream yesterday of a man on a sick bed who was in an Adulterous relationship. He had totally convinced himself this was fine and did not see a thing wrong with it. He had very long convoluted reasons why this was fine. Jesus however was trying to open his eyes to the truth before He dies.

    Prayers and offering up mass.

If he happens to read this, there is never a good reason for adultery. Never. Ever.

:D Instantly reminded me: When I first moved to this area (near El Paso, Texas) in 1992, and until 1998 (when I began working in my home), EVERY foreign accident spoken by a White person was believed by Latinos to be "Irish." That's an Irish accent! (n) I would politely say, "No, um, that's Australian." Or "No, Dr. ____ is from Argentina."

At the time I was too wary of possibly offending their assumption to ask WHY DO YOU ALWAYS THINK IT'S AN IRISH ACCENT?! :ROFLMAO:

Another memory: 1992, a doctor from Australia. Nice voice too. "Everyone" asked him to keep talking (dictation). He took it in stride (outwardly anyway).
