Yes, now is the time for the bishop to step forward. He is responsible for "shepherding the faithful," and showing "fraternal care" for his priests. Issuing a form email letter to those who write for information, I think, is not enough.

    1) He issued his "non constat." There is no more authorative a judgement he can make and he has no authority to do so. How can you say that, Frodo? He is a liar. He says he has no authority but then warns everyone away and actually uses the Church's official language. He's a damned weasle.

    2) "Spot on?" He doesn't even know what a theological error is. He fails to name ONE. The souls in Purgatory suffer the same as the souls in hell but with hope. It's not heretical. And he is a theologian. A PhD. He should resign. Typical Steubenville rubbish and heresy. As bad, Miravalle gives him a psychological evaluation as an 8 year old (and young Rodrigue was later corrected by a good priest). You cannot evaluate someone except in person. Is he a psychiatrist too? Miravalle abuses his authority to trash someone's reputation. #7&8 are completely inappropriate without interviewing Fr Rodrigue. And #8 was a translation error.

    3) no. I have never questioned Miravalle's motives. I read his endorsement and his back peddling of it: he is blaming those he is about to trash. It's disgusting!!! This is tabloid level analysis tbh. What are his motives? I don't know. Embarrassment and shifting blame from himself? His words, as he claims, were not misused. He doesn't show that himself. Again what an obnoxious weasle. I DO QUESTION his competence and integrity. He should never have used his authority to endorse the book. This is a PhD whose endorsement is being sought for unapproved locutions. What theologian and revelation specialist in their right mind would do such a rash and foolish thing? The act is de facto rash. Do you not see that? His official job is to investigate these things. He is giving his opinion (non constat) on a cursory glance. There are many dubious and even false mystics in that book -- another sign of his incompetence. But Miravalle has a habit of supporting false mystics. More shame to him!!

    4) It's not that. He cites the same translation I read. It's not there. He just made it up and twisted all in the worst way. How much more rash do you need? He never wrote CTTK or Fr Rodrigue to verify one word of his attack. As another has pointed out, he uses questions of fact (and one that was wrong) to justify his diagnoses of mental instability. (7&8) He is not a god. Stop treating him so. And to be clear I have many friends in academia. Some competent (very rare). Some less so. This is deplorable because he abuses his authority. I have no respect unless they show by their argument their worth. This is not by my nature but because academia has fallen so low.

In sum -- and my point -- we are in a shipwreck as a Church because of utter incompetence by so called authorities like Miravalle. His piece was reckless. It's why we have so many false mystics and false cults in the Church.

Full disclosure: I have promoted and followed Rodrigue for almost 2 years. Not because of O'Connor or Miravalle, I have serious concerns about Rodrigue and will list those soon. I no longer think he is legit.

Finally, Miravalle is only correct on his point 4. That's a 10% and a fail at every school I taught at.

Anyways, stop worshipping these theologians who are frauds. They are false idols. Reread the points I make on him. His fraud is that he says he has no authority (and he doesn't) but lists his "creds" and uses words reserved for the Church alone. That is de facto a weasly and wicked thing. I am not judging Miravalle's soul, only him in his capacity as theologian and expert. (Moreover, he peddles his own pet false and condemned mystics like Medjahoax, which was infallibly condemned by Bishop Zanic here. http://www.catholictradition.org/Mary/medjugorje5a.htm And Zanic was the official authority. His reason really is a revelation by Our Lady and infallible.)

As to discernment, St John of the Cross and St Theresa of Avila are our guides. Also I've found Frs. Most, Hardon, and Staples helpful and they have offered guidelines.

We are left to our own "discernment" because there is next to zero guidance here by men like Miravalle as well as bishops.

My concerns with Rodrigue are these.

    1) He said in May 2019 that the Father told him he would not come back to the U.S. But then he returned.

    2) "Our Lady of Peace" appeared to him and told him to go to Medjahoax. I link the several proofs above (not by a rogue theologian but by Bishop Zanic in 1986 who forbade pilgrimages at the time). This was a BIG concern for me since I found out and now more carefully read Fr Rodrigue's account. At the time this was an act of disobedience to the local bishop who forbade priests to offer masses or hear confessions who came to Medjagorje. And my old director received graces and his vocation at Medja. One can receive graces, but one cannot knowingly go against the bishop's orders. Our Lady can not have sent him. This is the strongest proof of invalidity. Disobedience and lies are the SUREST signs of a false mystic. Why would Our Lady order disobedience? Impossible.

    3) Rodrigue never mentions an earthquake. Scripture (many places), Our Lady of Fatima (Sr Lucia when writing down the vision), JPII (at Fulda, Germany 1980), Our Lady of Revelation, and OLOC all mention or imply a mantle busting, world shaking earthquake. The Earthquake that could kill as much as a third of the world will happen before the illumination. Why is Fr silent? Many will be dead beforehand. Of all temporal catastrophes to happen soon, the Earthquake is probably surest. That has always bothered me about Rodrigue.

    4) The proper timeline for illumination seems at the end of the reign of AntiChrist. The sign that Faustina and others mention may come earlier. He seems to conflate these two events. Also he cites two other dubious apparitions including Garabandal which was condemned (non constat) some FIVE TIMES (and I have read them when they used to be on the Sandahar Diocesan website), but the orders are simply defied which is the MOST certain proof the devil is at work -- Garabandal is probably the most patent Devil's magic show I ever read of. Anyways, the illumination, if such a thing were to happen, appears in the wrong time and makes little sense here. Edmund Campion seems to be speaking of something other than Faustina.

    5) The Seven Thunders are to reveal many of these matters soon. St. Anthony Marie Claret in his autobiography was shown they will be his sons. I understand that to mean his spiritual sons; his order was the Sons of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. As Thunder precedes and announces an imminent storm, so the Thunders will speak just before the storm and all will hear since seven is the number of perfection.

    6) Fr. Rodrigue seems to come in "his own name." That is, he testifies to his wonders and miracles, not other witnesses. This is novel. He has no corroboration.

Regarding 4&5, we will be given signs and calls to repentance, but the illumination (just as the illuminative state comes after tribulation and Dark Night) will be after all. Warnings precede.

That is not to say the Refuges are false. These are in Scripture and the closer we come, the more clear the guidance of Scripture becomes. Also Fatima, OLOR, and other approved apparitions of Our Lady closely conform to Scripture

Still, Fr Rodrigue's advice is good. I am not certain he is false. His testimony is pretty amazing, maybe too amazing without witnesses. I do not know. These are my concerns.....but I am convincing myself he is false. The question then is what is the end game of such a deception by Satan: false hope? Complacency?

Julia Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.

Cheer up now John R. You have given Mark Miravalle a good bashing for his poorly presented opinions of Fr. Rodrigue. Now we can wait until late Autumn and if the alleged messages of Fr Rodrigue do not come to pass. We are well practised on moving on when we are faced with a messenger who fails to deliver. Sigh

    Viva Christo Rae.

You think I bashed him enough???

Whether Fr Rodrigue is true or not, the preparation is all the same. Most are not spiritually prepared.

The only advantage for me is I will stop promoting him, which has only been frustration for me.

Thank you for your candid post John R. Since I have been visiting this forum, 2011, we have had some many incredible seers, most were not authentic. With Father Michel, he disarms you with his ready humor, and his homespun speech, his humble demeanor. Is this an act, to charm us, or his authentic way of being?

His basic advice, is Catholic: Go to confession, often and do a general confession, pray the rosary, do adoration, and so on. But then, there are the "niggly" things he says that are perturbing. You pointed out the most obvious, and this is the one that worries me the most:

We have a thread, now closed, Father Michel On Facebook, or some such title, and in it many of us were trying to find his roots, or rather witnesses to what he is purporting. So far none found. It's like he sprung up a few years ago. Nothing in the Amos Diocese press. You'd think some reporter would have heard of him.

Well, so I'm hoping he is authentic, and trying to discern this because of my bias, but at the same time, it's those niggly details that cause me concern. And you are right, we are left to our own discernment because the leadership is asleep at the wheel.

Me too! I do want to believe him because he speaks so orthodox, but some of his experiences I find peculiar. I’m still open minded, and waiting. We shall see. But it would be such a shame. He’s opened two monasteries, it would be such a shame.

Dear Byron, you're right is too early to tell. I like him, I truly like him, but there is that uncertain anxious feeling that something is missing, like you get when you enter an elevator and you can't see the floor because the light is dim.

    7) "Father Michel Rodrigue is a very holy French priest from Quebec, Canada, and is very good friends with Prophet John Leary (http://www.johnleary.com). In fact, Father Michel and John have often preached together for a number of years at the Gospa House in Southern California, along with other visionaries and chosen messengers of heavenly messages." From Other forum (and I had a serious phone conversation with the man who wrote that message the day he pulled the plug on FB 7-17-2019. Why you DO NOT MESS with false apparitions.)

I saw that in Fr R's 10-28-2018 talk. But he denied recently of approving of Leary (who was diagnosed with autosuggestion). Why is he with Leary when he doesn't approve him? And he was with him as recent as 9-2019 just a couple months before all his videos.

Likewise Rodrigue said he told his bishop everything but his bishop indicated he knew nothing.

    8) I think this is definitive. There are FIVE threads on Fr Rodrigue. This is from my post on letters from his bishop.

Either his Bishop or Fr Rodrigue are lying it seems. I was pressed to look at the official website. You will find to letters from his bishop. ONE is to the stidenta attending the seminary which endorses the seminary. The other is a canonical approval of the LAY ASSOCIATION OF THE FAITHFUL. He does not have an order of priests or religious.

His constitution or rule of life is for that lay association amd any prieats or religious who wish to participate in it. It is NOT a teligious order nor order of priests. This is deceptive of Father.

MOREOVER, they have hidden the Constitution.

Here is the letter to studenta and approval of tge seminary.

    https://www.studiumstjoseph.org/lettre-dapprobation-de-mgr-gilles-lemay/

".... Links to the chapters of the Constitution do not work. (I remember trying these last year also. Apparently it wasn't a temporary glitch.)"

    https://benoitlabre.org/constitution-1/

"I manually put in chapter two in the broswer Here it is:" https://benoitlabre.org/constitution-2/
You can replace the 2 with 3,4,5,6 for the other chapters. The links don't work.

    Chapter 2

"...It is with special concern that the members of the Apostolic Fraternity of Saint Benedict-Joseph Labre devote themselves to the discernment of presbyteral vocations, to the Christian formation of communities, to the discernment and the exercise of charisms and ministries in the Diocesan church...."

Here you will find linked an official recognition by the bishop of a "Public Association of the Faithful." It is not -- as the bishop truthfully says -- a religious order nor an order of priests. This is the canonical recognition. Again the document is linked on the page here.

    https://www.studiumstjoseph.org/le-monastere-du-coeur-de-jesus/

So .....why would they deliberately hide their Consutution? It does not at all read as though it's from God. It's not a religious or priestly order. It's a lay Association.

Anyways, I think this demonstrates the fraud definitely and supports the bishop's other remarks at odds with Fr Rodrigue.

  14. But Fr. Rodrigue promised us WW3. So no Fireworks for now?

  15. John R

    John R New Member

    No.

Lots that he says is true (partly why I found him convincing). Likewise MDM. Satan knows what is going to happen ( though not all).

WWIII is here probably this fall. Benedict will be martyred soon. There will be a world wide earthquake very soon. These are true. There will be refuges (Scriptire again like Rev 12). I recommend the nine part series Our Lady of Revelation. It's also in Scripture like Mt 24.

    Afterwards an era of Peace.

  16. Thank you Sir. Can you please elaborate more what do you think will happen in the near term: later this year and next year based on your findings...

What do you think is the fate of Pope Francis?

  17. John R

    John R New Member

It's all in Scripture. It's also all in Fatima and Our Lady of Revelation. They all agree moreover.

We are at the cusp of Revelation 12 (the midpoint). The Chastisements have been mitigated (and postponed, as JPII said at Fulda Germany 1980) but they can't be put off.

The global civil riots will increase. The Persecution will break out and we are seeing it's beginnings. The schism (and apostasy) will widen. B16 will likely flee and be martyred. Pray for him. He is the pope. Seewald's interview clinches it and many more in Rome finally know this. Francis is most likely the False Prophet (and this is where Fr Rodrigue has misled many).

First there will be a great earthquake(s) worldwide around the time of B16's flight. Famine, disease and WWIII will increase. All these things have already begun: what Our Lord calls "the beginning of Sorrows" also known as the Minor Tribulation (3.5 years ?? ....and we are deep into it imo).

Then the AntiChrist will "save the day" and reign openly for 3.5 years. But before that many will flee to refuges -- what or where they are I know not (Rev 12 and elsewhere).

What is needed is deeper prayer and complete Trust in and Surrender to God. Our refuges now are the Immaculate and Sacred Heart (esp in the Eucharist). Before the worst, the sevem Thunders will speak (if they have not already).

I recommend the 9 part series on OLOR esp part 2. That has great advice and is the best explanation of Fatima I have heard though Fr Wolfe is mistaken on a few points and much is still mystery.

Afterwards a short Era of Peace but no one knows how long or its nature. If there is Illumination, it will be then at tge end of the trial. Then too will be the 3DD. Then will be conversion of the Jews and many others. This was the constant teaching and what I believe St Edmund Campion and others refer to. This is where all the false mystics confuse the Faithful, like Rodrigue and Picarretta.

We will have signs and encouragement along the way. Now is the sifting. You are for Christ or against. There are many tares and wolves in the Church now and never before heard of Confusion, which is Babel in Hebrew.

That is all we know. And is enough. God is love. This is the Test, a test of our love and trust. (Now esp the attack waxes on the family, marriage, and human nature itself.)
