    Hi Everyone!

Happy Mothers day to All. I very rarely post and had no idea which section to post this but here is something for you today.

I know at this time everyone has a special Mass that they all watch. But I thought maybe some of you might like to see what our Armenian Catholic Mass is like. This is our Church St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Catholic Church in Glendale California (which is a part of Los Angeles). This is our Cathedral. We also have another one in downtown Los Angeles called Our Lady of Queen of Martyrs.

This Mass is every Sunday morning at 9:30 am PST on Facebook and it is our Armenian Liturgy done in English. However the priest whos says this Mass is Fr. John Henry who is a Norbertine priest from St. Michaels Abbey where our own Brian K's son is a seminarian. He is not Armenian but you will see that he has learned quite a bit and he intersperses the Mass in Armenian as well.

He sings the entire Consecration in Armenian and they say the Our Father in English and sing it right after in Armenian.

Anyway for those who watch, I hope you enjoy it.

Thank you Allyd. My late father had a lifelong friend from the army in WWII
who was Armenian and very involved in the Armenian church on the East Coast.
I will check this out. Beautiful church.

That’s nice to know HH. My aunt was a nun (RIP) and she taught for a while at the Armenian sisters academy in Lexington MA.

That is wonderful. There are many Armenians in New England. I have read some of the newspapers. :)

do you have a link for it? I have an Armenian cousin, he married my cousin. His name is Avedis Zobian. His mother came from Turkey in the holocaust, she was 15. They were marched out of Turkey in the winter by the Muslims. His grandmother died on the march, she sat on a rock totally exhausted and froze to death. His mother never forgave herself for not carrying her on her back. Such tragic stories. My cousin is 84 now.

Hi katfall’s! I have many stories like that in my family. My grandmothers brother was skinned alive in her lap by the Muslim Turks as they were in the exodus out of turkey. She was married during the genocide and my uncle was already born. Sad for so many snd all I did was grow up hearing the stories.

Anyway, do far they are only on Facebook and the judt need to go to the st. Gregory the illuminator Armenian Catholic Church snd friend The page. They will constantly get updates. Hope this helps.
