Yes, get Vitamin D3 (the form of all the over the counter Vitamin D) and take 5000iu for the duration of the pandemic. Any over the counter brand is adequate right now. Take a Vitamic C supplement along with it. And when you’re taking Vitamin D, it can “unmask” an underlying magnesium deficiency, so it’s a good idea to take a 200 to 400mg supplement along with the Vitamin D. Don’t go crazy. If you take too much, both Vitamin D and magnesium can build up in your system and cause toxicity. And too much Vitamin C can cause kidney stones (if I remember correctly.)

Actually they sell D2 pills as well, make sure to buy the D3 (my doc put me on D3 a while ago and I haven't had a cold or virus in 18 months). We just stocked up at Sam's Club about a month ago and almost bought the D2 by mistake
Fortunately Vitamin D2 is usually (?) only available by prescription. It’s not nearly as well absorbed so over the counter Vitamin D3 is a better option anyway.

Hope it is ok to put a bit of good news on the coronavirus thread. On the news this morning they said there has been a simple solution found to aid sufferers of coronavirus in breathing. It is being tested in a couple of hospitals and if found to be successful, they could manufacture a thousand a day within a couple of weeks. It appears the worst symptom of this virus is the lungs fail, and result in death. Having a means to keep the lungs working while the virus runs its course, would reduce the fatalities in this. Please God this newfound solution will give us all encouragement, and sooner than we might think. Thank you Blessed Mother, for this good news in the UK, your dowry, one day after our Bishops rededicated England to you.

It may have actually changed recently and I'm wondering if D3 was the one you had to have a script for as a couple years ago my doc told me to just go buy some Vitamin D at Walgreens and take one daily but it upset my stomach badly, so he then switched me to a script for D3 and I'd take one pill every 2 weeks. But when we went to Sam's club in February to stock up I grabbed the D2 by mistake and then noticed they had D3 so I grabbed a couple huge bottles of it for the family. Yesterday's chicken adventure in the new coop was 2 of them got out through that run I built connecting it to our existing setup and decided to go on a jaunt around the land, my wife and I had fun chasing them back in

I'll urge everyone again not to overly worry about this virus, this isn't "it" but a precursor and we're going to get past this virus pretty quickly and it'll seem like we were saved from the disaster. Thanks for the great Vitamin D3 advice everyone. Unfortunately its all sold out at that site. For me, my immune system has really improved in the last 4/5 years since I stopped taking antibiotics for colds. That's all my doctor would do, just give me a prescription. But since fighting colds for a few years I believe and cutting out sugar and a few other tweaks I seem to be able to fight colds quite well. I was asking for my Father who has a terrible immune system, I believe antibiotics may be the cause plus his age does not help.

Sounds like fun! The VA governor just issued a stay at home order through June 10, which pretty effectively puts a halt to our coop building business for now. Glad we got yours down there when we did!
