Hello all, thanking you for prayers for all who work in healthcare. At my hospital we are starting to become a bit overwhelmed by this virus. Not all hold and cherish the comfort of our Lord and Lady. Our surgeries are only emergencies, part of our department has been converted into an ICU for coronavirus patients. I am concerned for the fear that I see in my coworkers. My day includes prayers for uplifting and love for all, but we are all exhausted and most are becoming short fused. This is truly a lent I won't forget. Thank you.
Same from me Mary's Child. Prayers for all health workers and especially for you and your family during this very difficult time. +
Praying MC. Praying for strength and protection and perseverence for all of you. How blessed they are to have you there praying for them. I'm sad to hear you are getting overwhelmed. That must mean a lot more cases. Has your state shut down? Please stay safe.(Mother Mary protect your child. Saint Michael defend her in the battle she faces.)
Prayers for you and your coworkers, Mary. I have many in my family feeling the same way. PPE’s are so badly needed. My prayers and gratitude to all health care providers. God Bless all of you.
The state is is at a standstill, except for food and healthcare. Our Emergency department is a rotating door for symptoms. As I mentioned, my department is now an extension strictly for ICU coronavirus patients. The hospital has made the conference rooms into dorm style patient beds as a step down of recovery and the national guard is building a tent for a second recovery unit for the overflow. Supplies are in short supply, staff are asked to wear the same mask during their 10-12 hour shifts. It was noted Monday that cases of masks and gloves were stolen from our department.
Prayers for all health care workers, particularly those who work directly with the corona virus cases. God protect them.
We ran out of masks in our hospital today too. We have plenty of gloves at least. Praying for us all. This is a really stressful time.
I worked in hospitals (and clinics) early in my career (at-home since late '90s). I can only wonder at how it is, dealing with this. I'd be dealing with it too, if hospitals were still willing to employ transcribers. Praying.
My husband brought home two boxes of face masks for he and I earlier this week; two per box, so we've got four. Frankly, we don't need them. I've been wondering how to donate to a local hospital without compromising staff there, or ourselves. And frankly, one of our hospitals is refusing entry save for staff, employees, and vendors; probably the other as well.
*UPDATE* I recalled a moment after posting that husband has a dental appointment tomorrow. I asked if he'd be willing to donate our two boxes of face masks to that clinic (is both medical and dental). He said yes.
