Does anyone believe that the Mayan may had a divine interaction with Jesus or angel. And maybe that's what their clock was.

I don't think so. I am inlcined to think that their calendar kind of naturally ran out at 2012. I think thoughthat some of the ancients did have mystical knowledge, the Egyptians certainly and of course the Magi who came to witness the brith if Jesus certainly had knowledge. However since Christ, the true Light has come into the world, I think we as Christians must look to the Holy SPirit to enlighten us. I find ,as a Catholic that not even prophesy that emanates even from our Protestant and Jewish sisters and brothers inerests me so much as it is flawed as their conception of the Truth is flawed. I tend to stick only to Catholic Prophesy..and even then so much of it is mush. But since the Catholic Church is the one, true, I think, why go to half beam light when in the Church we are all on full beam?
I agree, Padraig, yet so many people have become so superstitious about this culture and the fact that their calendar ends. I think what we have to remember is that the Mayan culture, as it existed then, was a pagan culture that practice human sacrifice. I know that God writes straight with crooked lines, but if something supernatural occurs on the 12/21, we have to remember that it is from God and not as a result of the Mayan calendar ending. That might be a tough call in our world today which rejects God but embraces anything else.
The Mayans practiced human sacrifice! So heavenly contact appears to be easy to discount. They don't seem the end of their own civilisation coming either. They were just one of many ancient civilisations that acquired some useful mathematical and astronomical knowledge.
Maybe the devil set this whole Mayan thing up to discount the warning is coming from God. But from everything I have read, the warning wont be denied it is from God
My daughter with a masters in Anthropology says that they made calendars for every year and when their civilization ended the calendars ended. Its just our luck that it stopped at 2012! lol If they had continued their civilization (however it ended) we would have had a 2013...
Barbara Marx Hubbard (a new age nutcase but well connected and dangerous too) believes that the world will change from this date and that a new level of consciousness will be available to all of us. She was the main speaker at the conference of the Leaders of Catholic Women Religious in the US this year (no surprises there!). She says that anyone who won't 'get with the program' (her own that is) will need to be "eliminated" by those who are newly conscious and says this quite openly. She is an admirer of a Catholic priest called Diarmuid O'Murchu who was cheered by a gathering of 'nuns' when he gave a told them that when the Church has been totally forgotten about, the world will still go on.

Personally, I think the Mayans were tied to evil as they practiced human sacrifice. I can't see how the Holy Spirit would work through them.

I am a bit confused about anyone believing that the Warning could possibly have happened today. I know that those who reject Medjugorje are in a different situation (and one of those predicted today's date with 75% probability) but those who accept Medjugorje must KNOW that they will be given 3 days notice of such a momentous event as it will form part of the secrets. We also know that 3 of the visionaries still await the tenth secret and that the first two of these relate only to Medjugorje itself. So, until the 3 visionaries receive the last of the secrets and until the first two have been made public and, presumably, have happened, there can be no Warning. We can also be sure that we will be given some notice of the Warning, even though it is only three days. If we get this straight, we can await events and know, with some confidence, when it actually is imminent.
