Please pray for the protection of the unborn in Ireland as the unfortunate death of a mother is being used to lobby for abortion in Ireland. Please pray for us.
I will definitely pray for Ireland for this situation. I was grieved to see the National Referendum pass last Saturday. No matter what logic was used to encourage its passage, it opens the door to State intrusion into the family- a severe erosion of parental rights! Lord have mercy on Ireland! Safe in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary!
We are a nation sitting at a moral crossroads - the road we take will have eternal repercussions. I keep praying "Father bless the proabortionists and have mercy on me." It helps me to love the persecutors, but i have a strong sense that the devil is getting brave enough to put his head outside his rat hole, but he will be struck down by our saviour. Lord keep me faithful until the end.
If you ask me a lot of this stuff is planned. THey did the same thin end of the wedge stuff in Britian. At the feet of Mary.
I consider the Curate's Diary to be essential reading. It's great to get me thinking and praying and being merciful and loving and surrendering and ..... I met Fr. Thady at the Eucharistic Congress and found him to be humble and really grounded (for the want of a better word to describe intelligent practicality). God bless Fr. T. I agree with Padraig comment. The Irish Independent, Irish Times and RTE have been on a pro abortion and euthanasia bandstand for over a year now. This unfortunate woman is fodder for their campaign, God rest her soul and that of her child.
No sooner do I begin praying to Saint Patrick to protect us than Satan attacks. St. Patrick must be very powerful where Ireland is concerned. I will simply have to pray even harder to him for his protection. One of the things that stands out in the prayer to him is the reminder that we are the descendents of Saints, thanks to Saint Patrick. Because of this, I am not too worried about the pro-abortionists use of this woman’s death. I pray for that woman and her child and for all the other mothers who died in childbirth in this country, whose deaths are not considered important enough to protest about. But then that is probably because their deaths cannot be used to promote abortion. Padraig, I am just wondering, Have you received any enlightenment about this current attack?
We must pray & fast to help fight this. I think that in this year of faith we must defend our faith & be vocal in our opposition to abortion, re-definition of marriage etc. I always think this when I am reciting the 3rd luminous mystery-Proclamation of the kingdom-am I doing enough to proclaim God's kingdom or defending my faith? Unfortunately the answer is no & I have become very lax in my attempts to fast this year. Our Lady keeps telling us to pray & fast........She is telling us the answer to all this......we just need to heed her! http://www.independent.ie/national-news/prochoice-activists-got-tipoff-on-tragic-death-3296844.html
Thank you for attaching that link. I will never forget walking into the shop on that Weds morning and seeing the headlines of the Irish times and independent - it was so obvious that the media portrayal of the human tragedy was a complete set up. God help the people behind the headlines who allow themselves to be used as instruments of the devil.
The following link gives us some hint to the extent of lies and deceits that advocates for abortion will use. There seems to be no evidence that Savita ever asked for an abortion, but an extremely questionable piece of journalism hit our headlines, causing global condemnation of Irish pro-life laws. My heart and prayers go out to the women who feel that abortion is the answer to their problems, but I must pray more for the people that are advocating it in every society. http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/br...vita-story-there-may-have-been-no-request-for It is also worth while listening to the interview on this youtube clip.
I really don't know where to put this, so I hope its OK to put it here. I have been praying to St. Patrick to help us all now, so that we do not fall even further off the right road. I know most will probably know this, but I didn't and I think it is marvellous: St. Patrick is the Patron Saint of snakebites. I think that is wonderful. It is so appropriate, I just needed to tell everyone.
