Dolours, Thanks. Yeah, I don't want to get into a debate about Grabandal either. I was just offering my thoughts on how a very large conversion to the Faith may come about in the future as Saint Hildegard and other Catholic prophets have suggested. Your idea about the Holy Spirit being involved is one that many people feel is a possibility. Are there any approved prophecies specific to this idea? I think that there may be but I can't think of the specifics at the moment. Of course, this question is open to anyone.
I don't need any prophecies to confirm to me that the Holy Spirit is involved in every conversion. All things are possible with God. If He can grant people the grace of an illumination of conscience, He can simultaneously grant them the grace to know where to find the path to salvation via the Sacrament of Confession.
Thank you Dolours, your postings combined is basically what I wanted to say. Very much appreciated. Also, what really struck me when I watched the Third Secret video is this: The author said he researched letters Padre Pio had allegedly written but these letters were nowhere to be found. That's precisely what I did about a year ago, I was told the letters were lost. Only a minor detail... I don't have all the answers. I'm not 100 percent settled on this one but I'm leaning to caution. I once dug into Irlmaier. He was probably devout and got a lot of personal insights about people lost in the war etc. But his general prophecy is largely copy paste of Jahenny etc and must be attributed more to his publisher Adlmaier. This is just an example. When it comes to prophecy, I would nowadays be very careful with 'near-expectations' and timelines, especially where months or even weekdays are mentioned. My concern is that one can get too hung up on this stuff, and near-expectations and timelines always tend to go wrong. So the person who's focusing on this may eventually experience a great disappointment, disillusionment, and then perhaps lose faith. That's another aspect that struck me about the video, the narrator has once taken a broad stance regarding prophecy and now takes a conservative stance, same here. Of course he sees everything much clearer than I do, sums it up much better and more aptly. My emphasis is always to stay united as Catholics, focus on what we have in common. I think by and large we are all in agreement - something is coming. I am grateful to be here. I hope I can make a small contribution, even if I don't always agree with everything. I think this forum is genuinely a friendly, even a holy place. We are ultimately looking for truth, sincerely. That video was a great summary for me, connecting the dots.
Yes, the members of this forum are friendly and tend to agree to disagree when they don't share the same opinion about unapproved messages. I think that I might have misunderstood what Carol meant when she asked about the Holy Spirit's role in prophecies concerning a mass conversion to the faith. On reflection, I reckon that Carol was asking whether there was anything in prophecy to indicate by what means the Holy Spirit would bring about so many conversions - whether the event would be undeniably Catholic. I'm sure that Carol will correct me if I'm wrong about that. Note to Carol: If you're wondering whether an illumination of conscience might simply result in people turning towards any denomination of Christianity rather than Catholicism, perhaps when they go to their non-Catholic churches they will find that all the ministers have gone in search of a Catholic priest to hear their confession .
Dear Carol, I haven't addressed your point properly, as I gather from Dolours recent post. My two cents on why I think the Church will triumph and why people will return to the Church: I believe that at some level all know what the true faith is. Just like at some level all know "there is something massively wrong with the world, only we don't quite know what it is exactly" (The Matrix) or we "don't quite know just how deep the rabbit hole goes" (Alice in Wonderland). But at some level, everyone understands how politics work in principle, if you know what I mean. Or, reading Gabriele Amorth (his interview-style book) and listening to Malachi Martin, they were both exorcists: When a family member has a problem of that nature, folks run and send their loved one to an expert, they don't take chances. No matter if the family is Protestant or even agnostic or Buddhist or whatever. They know where to go when the problem is that severe. So it is with the Church: after the chastisement, people will naturally know where to go. Especially if the current world order falls apart and things get exposed. A.K. Emmerich mentions in one of her visions that at the Triumph, the bad shepherds will be driven out of the Church. And amazingly, they will just simply leave in shame, without resistance. This is hard to imagine now when they have usurped the Church. So there must be some kind of things getting exposed. Emmerich is credible IMHO, since based on her visions the House of the Virgin in Ephesus was found, etc. I hope I'm making sense. God bless Frank
Frank, Thank you for your thoughts, you are making sense. I don't believe that there is any right or wrong answer to my question and it is very likely that the answer will consist of a combination of many things. I also believe that this will remain a mystery until it happens. This statement of yours is very interesting, "I believe that at some level all know what the true faith is." This could be the case and for one reason or another people do not want to be a part of the Church. I can list quite a few reasons now, I'm sure that most of us can and maybe once people understand how they have offended God many people will return to the Church.
