I see. Fr. Goodwin was the original priest. He was the real deal. So clear and orthodox and chatitable.
I haven't come across accusations of sexual sin involving Bishop Malone himself (thus far I have read articles of coverups and shuffling) but it is also believed that often the case may be that a bishop who coverups these things has something to hide himself, or sympathies towards the sin or something to that effect. Considering that, is it any wonder that Bishop Malone is refusing to investigate a possible Eucharistic miracle? I'm not accusing him of anything in particular, but living in sexual sins/sympathies tend to keep one distant from Jesus. As Fr Shannon Collins has said, you cannot stay in a state of sin and live a life of mental prayer. One or the other must go. I believe only those who are distant from Jesus and not engaged in a life of mental prayer would flat out refuse to at least investigate a claim of Eucharistic miracle. For crying out loud, even Cardinal Bergoglio (as he was at the time) investigated a Eucharistic miracle in Buenos Aires back in the 90's.
