I wonder if the reason that Cardinal Burke did not issue a formal correction is because he was threatened. I think that it's quite possible. Pope Benedict XVI didn't flee in fear of the wolves for nothing. And of course, Archbishop Vigano is in hiding because he knows his adversary all too well. (Luckily, he's smart enough to ignore their taunts and stay hidden.)

I really don't want to think that way, but it does seem odd that several of the good guys are "meeting their maker" sooner than expected. And call me a crazy conspiracy theorist, but I think it's quite possible that Bishop Morlino could have been poisoned...

The biggest scam of our age. First it was global warming and they called that science.

Pope calls global warming sin, says protecting creation is work of mercy

Now it's called climate change. I thought that is the reason we have peolple reporting on the weather.

PF is as big a joke as his global warming is.

Well, it's sad that our minds have to "go there", but Archbishop Vigano and Fr. Kalchik are in hiding for a reason. What form any reprisals might take I have no idea. There was the priest from Buffalo who died a mysterious violent death the weekend before he was going to blow the whistle on sexual abuse in that diocese. We have to be careful at pointing the finger at anyone in particular out of charity, but the fact is that there are some very nasty people running around the upper echelons of the Church right now. :(

And in our government. Mysterious deaths. Arkancided is a word that gets toss ed d about. Pretty sure Antonkn Scalia did not die of natural causes. The Church power brokers may be playing hard ball. Malachi Martin alluded to this more than once. Thuggery.

What you have quoted reinforces the two sentences:

"The teaching of the Pope must always be in concordance - in identity - with the teaching of the Holy Scripture and the Apostolic Tradition and of all what the Magisterium before has said. It can not be in contradiction."
Cardinal Muller is telling us that if the Pope's "teaching" contradicts Holy Scripture, Apostolic Tradition and all that the Magisterium has previously taught, the Pope's "teaching" can be ignored. No single Pope is the Church, nor is any Synod of Bishops. Christ built the Church on Peter. He didn't call Peter the Church. That Peter subsequently denied Christ three times didn't make the Church defunct. It didn't make Peter an anti-Pope. All the Apostles fled but if any of them had stood with Jesus it wouldn't have made that man the Pope instead of Peter, just as St. Paul didn't become Pope when he corrected Peter.

Jesus prayed for Peter that his faith would not fail, and told Peter to strengthen his brethren when he converted. That's what we must do today for the man the Bishops have presented to us as Peter's successor. That doesn't mean we must twist ourselves inside out trying to excuse everything Pope Francis says or does. Some day there might be an investigation into the St. Gallen shenanigans, resulting in Pope Francis being declared an anti-Pope but we have no authority to pre-empt such an investigation. Don't forget that just because something requires investigating, it doesn't automatically follow that all or any of the people being investigated were guilty of an offence. Pope Francis has the same right as anyone else to the presumption of innocence. Cardinal Muller may well suspect that Pope Francis holds heretical beliefs but suspicion is not proof.

A single letter written by Pope Honorius saved him from being condemned as a heretic. (I'm not sure, but I think he may have been condemned at first but was subsequently cleared of heresy on the basis of that letter, although he was still denounced for permitting the spread of heresy). Pope Francis usually says something orthodox to ensure that he has a defence against accusations of heresy. Meeting and scheming for years, the St. Gallen group had plenty of time to work out how their man would get away with implementing the agenda, but the Church will outlast them and their agenda because honourable men, guided by the Holy Spirit, have given us sound Magisterial teaching to see us through and beyond this papacy.

I don't know where I read that Pope Francis got the ok from his Jesuit superior to accept the promotion to Bishop, but the source really doesn't matter. He was Bishop during the terms of a few Popes and Jesuit superiors, and none of them questioned it. For all we know, his superior could have recommended him for promotion just to get rid of him out of the Jesuit order. The hypocrisy of a Jesuit, who became Pope after a long campaign, declaring that careerism is at the root of all the Church's problems appears to have escaped the notice of Pope Francis and his band of papolators.

Bishop Morlino, being a faithful shepherd, must have been horrified at the way Pope Francis pulled the plug on the possibility of the US Bishops conducting any credible investigation into the rise of McCarrick and the residue of his influence. Choosing Cupich to control the show at the February Synod was a real slap in the face, especially because Cupich is regarded as a McCarrick protege and lavender lobbyist. By doing so, Pope Francis sent a signal to the US Bishops that he only recognises Cupich as their representative. On foot of Cupich's public response to the latest abuse scandal being that it's no big deal and Pope Francis has more important things like climate change to worry about, that's enough to give any faithful Catholic a heart attack.

The following is part of Bishop Athanasius Shneider's statement in support of Cardinal Mueller: (emphasis in bold and comments in blue are mine - SgC)

"Indeed, we are observing a growing spread of the homosexual heresy inside the Church. An increasing number of clerics of different ranks are coming out of their hiding places, and who, without blushing, even start advocating for the moral acceptance of homosexual activity. They disguise their heresy and apostasy, for instance, with the sophistic and gnostic expression “further development of Catholic moral doctrine” (“Weiterentwicklung der katholischen Morallehre”).

Already in sacred history, there has been a disastrous “further development” of the first Commandment of the Decalogue “you shall have no other gods beside me”. It happened when the Hebrew priest Aaron fabricated the Golden Calf, allowing the people thereby to adore an idol. In our days we are witnessing how priests, bishops, and cardinals are allowing people to have the alleged “joy” of the dance around the golden calf of homosexuality. The former historical caste of the Sadducees, who were mostly unbelieving and politically correct clerics, has now revived itself in the new Catholic clerical clan of the propagators of the heresy of homosexuality. Such priests and bishops are nothing else but “regime priests” and “regime bishops”, since, by advocating the legitimacy of homosexuality, they reveal themselves, not as servants of Christ, but, rather, as servants of the networked political and media regime of homosexuality. To be a new “Sadducee,” as well as a “regime bishop,” there is certainly no need for courage.

The tragic and regrettable thing in this situation is the fact that the Holy See (read that as PF), which is the seat of the truth (“cathedra veritatis”), not only does not oppose this advance of the homosexual heresy, but, incredibly, even assigns ecclesiastical tasks to notorious supporters of this homosexual heresy. (referring to the assigning of Cardinal Cupich to be in charge of organising the summit on clergy sexual abuse?)

One of the essential tasks of the Successor of Peter consists in strengthening, primarily, the bishops in the Catholic and Divine Faith (cf. Luke 22: 32). Unfortunately, we currently have to notice an eclipse in the Papal exercise of this very task of strengthening the truth regarding homosexuality."

    Very disturbing indeed.

It is featured in an article on the OnePeterfive website( https://onepeterfive.com/fantastic-priests/.) Here´s their take on the video:

"Put on it whatever label you want, but the fact of it is undeniable. “It” is the destruction of the institutional Roman Catholic Church from within, now proclaimed by the current papacy. If you doubt that this is the case, you have only to view the video that was projected onto the façade of the Basilica of Santa Maria sopra Minerva in Rome, at the conclusion of the Synod on the Youth, which depicted the crumbling of that church and, by extension, of the whole institutional Church."

I think the dark forces that control the Vatican have become so bold, so sure that they´ve crushed the opposition that they feel they must proclaim their victory from the rooftops for all to see.

Of course the Book of Revelation tells us otherwise...

Here´s the video again for those who missed it:

For those who believe in Medjugorje here´s what Our Lady allegedly said back in 1991:

"now as never before Satan wants to show the world his shameful face by which he wants to seduce as many people as possible onto the way of death and sin."

"Satan is strong and wishes to destroy not only human lives, but also nature and the planet on which you live. Therefore, dear children, pray that you can protect yourselves through prayer with the blessings of God's peace."

Back then things were not nearly as bad as now but Our Holy Mother of course knew what was coming and sounded the alarm.

I think the video projection above is a perfect example of this.

In regard to Bishop Morlino's death, yesterday I noticed that Raymond Arroyo tweeted the following which is also very sad and I wonder if those bishops who do/did support Bishop Morlino are afraid to speak up on his behalf,

There is a new short book due out in ten languages on Monday called "The Strength of Vocations". It contains an interview of Pope Francis performed by a Spanish priest named Father Fernando Prado Ayuso. https://zenit.org/articles/consecrated-life-today-new-book-interview-with-the-pope/
    https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=+La+fuerza+de+la+vocación&pc=cosp&ptag=G6C999ABE91C7D8F5&conlogo=CT3210127&ajf=100&ru=/search?q=%20La%20fuerza%20de%20la%20vocaci%C3%B3n&pc=cosp&ptag=G6C999ABE91C7D8F5&form=CONBDF&conlogo=CT3210127&ajf=100&view=detail&mmscn=vwrc&mid=C994DC728BCEC85779E3C994DC728BCEC85779E3&FORM=WRVORC,

Since it has been publicized that the pope was asked some very tough questions related to consecrated life, clericalism, homosexuality, priestly and religious formation and other issues and that he offered very candid answers in this interview, I am wondering if the pope was asked some of the same questions that Cardinal Muller was asked in the following interview and how the pope's answers will compare.

The most striking thing that I noticed from Cardinal Muller's interview below is that he has put the responsibility for the sexual abuse crisis in the US Church on the local bishops and since the pope recently interceded in regard to this responsibility during the recent USCCB meeting, I can't help but wonder if Pope Francis will do something somewhat surprising in relation to this particular crisis in the US.

If the pope agrees with what I believe Cardinal Muller is stating in this interview then it seems that the pope may feel that the US bishops boggled things and I wonder if he will react similarly to how he reacted with the Chilean bishops this past year and ask for the resignation's of several of the US bishops.

Müller, “No one has the right to indict the Pope”
The cardinal, “The attacks hurt the credibility of the Church. I am convinced that Francis is doing everything possible against abuses. The American bishops should have sent the texts to Rome earlier”

    Edited to add:

The following article is referring to the other prelate in addition to Cardinal Cupich who was appointed by Pope Francis to organize the February synod on sexual abuse, Cardinal Oswald Gracias of Mumbai.

Rome event challenges key Indian prelate’s record on sex abuse
    Vatican | Claire Giangrave and Elise Harris | Nov 28, 2018 | https://cruxnow.com/vatican/2018/11...nges-key-indian-prelates-record-on-sex-abuse/
    upload_2018-11-28_11-46-39.png
ROME - One of the organizers appointed by Pope Francis to plan a February 21-24 summit at the Vatican on sexual abuse of vulnerable people has been accused of covering up abuse in his own archdiocese in India by one of his former collaborators.

“My bishop is among the organizers, which left me perplexed,” said Indian-born Virginia Saldanha, a former director of the women’s commission of the Federation of Asian Bishops’ Conferences, “What is he going to do? Come up with more cover-up ideas?”
    ...
Saldanha said that she “doesn’t expect anything” from the February summit at the Vatican on sexual abuse, and instead called for the further inclusion of women at the event and in decision making processes.

Others, such as Peruvian Rocio Figueroa Alvear, a theologian and clerical sexual abuse survivor under the lay Sodalitium Movement, had a more optimistic outlook. While admitting that Pope Francis “was not victim-centered initially” and “didn’t see the magnitude of the problem,” she told attendees at the conference that in her opinion “he has been changing and I think that’s real, it’s not manufactured.”

RELATED: February abuse summit will have to navigate waters of a global church

In an Oct. 26 interview with Crux during the summit of bishops on young people, Gracias asked why journalists “make such a big fuss about sexual abuse, and making it like the number one issue?” a question that may seem out of touch with many who believe the sex scandals are the paramount issue in terms of the Church’s global credibility.

According to Saldanha the Church has “happily kept [sexual abuse] covered up,” pointing to clericalism as the main talking point. “It just takes a spark” to bring about change, she added, “and I think that spark is already lit.”
