Why is it scary!?! Vade Retro Satana is latin for Begone Satan!!! It is part of a Latin prayer of exorcism against Satan on the Saint Benedict medal. I have a great devotion towards this medal!! Vade, Recently, my wonderful wife, Geralyn, and I, visited a neighbor who has a terminal disease. We had previously lent him a book entitled, Heaven is for Real, and I was hoping to follow up. I took along a St. Benedict medal to aid in any necessary spiritual warfare. Though Steve was too weak to carry on any lengthy discussion, he shared with us that he hates to read, but that Heaven is for Real was the first book he's read cover-to-cover in his whole life!
