In terms of the USA and the current battle that we are in, we have two big dates coming up. On Monday, July 9th, President Trump announces his SCOTUS nominee to replace Justice Kennedy and on Monday, July 16th President Trump will be having a summit with Russia's President Putin. I am trying very desperately to up by prayers at this time as I think that we all should. I know that some of us have already upped their prayers and I am greatly thankful for this. I participated in the recent Divine Mercy 9-day novena for the USA and now I am going to make a commitment to say a 15 decade Rosary for the next 4 days in place of my usual 5 decade Rosary. Maybe I can begin a new habit by doing so.

Let's all pray that President Trump continues to be successful in helping the USA to become holy again and that his enemies do not continue to become more unhinged.

    ANNOUNCEMENT: “Peace Through Strength Challenge”
July 4, 2018 by Fr. Richard Heilman
“The Lord will give strength to his people: the Lord will bless his people with peace” (Psalm 29:11)
“We maintain the peace through our strength; weakness only invites aggression.” President Ronald Regan

ANNOUNCEMENT: “Peace Through Strength Challenge” July 16-August 15

Beginning Monday, July 16 (Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel) and leading up August 15 (Feast of Our Lady of the Assumption) …

Fr. Richard Heilman of “Roman Catholic Man”
    Sam Guzman of “Catholic Gentleman”
    Doug Barry of “Battle Ready”
    Major Jeff Heller

… will be joining forces to lead what we believe is the most important challenge of our times.

    Let me explain …

A word used to describe elements of our culture today is “unhinged.” Yes, by and large, our culture is unhinged or “detached.” We are detached from the Source–God–of our supernatural strength; the supernatural power of “grace.” In fact, the critical underlying problem is an epidemic of disbelief in the supernatural. Our culture is supernaturally weak.

In the culture and on the political stage, this being “unhinged” has led to anarchy and discord. In our homes and in our hearts it has led to distress and despair. No grace; No hope; No peace!

Special Forces Prayer Warriors Fighting for Two Years – Winning!
    Fr Richard Heilman June 28, 2018 https://www.romancatholicman.com/special-forces-prayer-warriors-fighting-for-two-years-winning/

Since 2016, we have witnessed a RADICAL shift in the momentum of America. As much as the Left is unhinged, we all know it is because they have never felt more threatened and more helpless than they do right now. Satan no longer has a “greater power,” as long as we cling to God’s supernatural strength.

Thank you all for your deep faith that knew “It’s Time!” And your willingness to say, “I’m Going In!”

    2016 Novena for Our Nation

In the days leading up to the 2016 election, tens of thousands of people (at least 40,000) joined together for a very powerful 54 Day Rosary Novena called, “Novena for our Nation.” The online prayer campaign went from August 15 (The Feast of the Assumption of Mary) to October 7 (The Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary).

In the first week of our 54 Day Novena for Our Nation, the Trump campaign went into a very different direction which included, among other things, the dismissal of Paul Manafort, and the hiring Kellyanne Conway. Mrs. Conway was hired on Day One of the Novena for Our Nation.

On October 7 (Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary), we concluded the Novena for Our Nation. That very same day, the Wikileaks were made public.

As the election drew near, many saw the media attacks as severe, and it seemed the polls were not looking in Donald Trump’s favor. We then all prayed a St. Jude Novena (Oct. 20-28), leading to the Feast of St. Jude, who is the Patron Saint of lost causes. On October 28, on the Feast of St. Jude, F.B.I. director James Comey reopened the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails.

In the final nine days prior to the election, we prayed the “National Novena” with the Knights of Columbus.

Imagine the momentum of our country, had Hillary Clinton not been stopped!

    2017 Novena for Our Nation

Again, it is difficult to dismiss the astonishing synchronicity in what has been transpiring in our culture and Novena for Our Nation, where over 50,000 people from around the nation prayed a 54 Day Rosary Novena that beseeched God to heal our nation and bring about a profound spiritual renewal.

The volcano of exposés erupted with Harvey Weinstein on October 5, 2017. This was just two days before the conclusion of the 54 day Novena for Our Nation, and just nine days (a novena of days) before the 100th anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun in Fatima.

And now, the swamp is being drained at a striking rate. According to Monica Crowley

“The swamp is the ruling class and it’s comprised of the elites on all sides of the political spectrum. Why has it always dominated? We sort of take it for granted. Why has it always dominated despite repeated attempts by noble patriots over many years to try to chip away at its monstrous power?

The short answer is that the swamp controls all the levers of power in this country, and they have the capability and the will to destroy anyone and anything that threatens its grip. The swamp is the perfect embodiment of Lord Acton’s warning that power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely. There are so many other adages that we can apply to this epic cesspool of money and power and status and influence all contributing to the supreme human and institutional corruption that we see in Washington, D.C. It’s everywhere and it’s so daunting. It is a tsunami that comes and crushes anybody in its path. It’s elected officials on both sides. It’s the establishment on both sides. Their staffs, the media, federal bureaucracies, special interests, lobbyists, even some in the deep state who are supposed to only be focused on America’s external threats, and even some in law and law enforcement who are only supposed to be interested in applying equal justice under the law. They’ve all become corrupted, and this ruling class has dined out on this rotten status quo for a hell of a long time … until now.

Because finally, finally this country has elected someone not of, by, and for the swamp, someone who owes them nothing and does not fear them: Donald J. Trump … [he] scare the living hell out of the ruling class. Having failed to destroy their nemesis during the campaign, they have now redoubled their efforts to kill his presidency …

On October 6, 2017, President Trump astonished the nation with his rollback of Obama’s contraceptive mandate. We were, literally, driving to DC for the 2017 National Rosary Rally when the news broke. God is so amazing!

    2018 Nineveh 90 for Life

An estimated 50,000+ pro-life warriors offered prayer and mortifications. This 90-day prayer campaign began on January 1 (Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God) and went to March 31 (Holy Saturday).

In the very first week of Nineveh 90 for Life, we witnessed, at the Golden Globe Awards, Hollywood … yes, Hollywood … take a firm stand against the sexualization and objectification of women. WOW!!

This was, especially, noted in the “modest” clothing worn by the women in attendance. Yes, I know, many will say they have a long way to go toward modesty. But, if you compare the conservative attire of this year to the provocative attire of last year, it looked more like a gathering of Amish … in comparison.

Setting cynicism aside (trying, at least), is this the dawn of a new era of purity and a “true” appreciation of women’s “sacred dignity?”

Fr. Robert Fromageot, F.S.S.P. once wrote …

“The leading lights of our age often claim to champion the rights of women, and in certain respects the claim is legitimate. At the same time, however, our age has clearly not sought to protect and foster the sacred dignity of women. On the contrary, society would have us remove our wedding garment, divest ourselves of Christ, and put on the “old man” and make ample provision for the flesh. Men are practically encouraged to treat women as mere objects of pleasure, and women are encouraged to seek this degrading form of attention and accept it as normal and compatible with their dignity. Men and women, but especially women, have become desensitized to using contraceptives, choosing abortion, and embracing sterilization. In short, our society no longer respects or values the gift of fertility; society no longer honors the unique privilege of being a woman. Consequently, it no longer cultivates the responsibility that necessarily accompanies this gift, this privilege. This collective failure on the part of society has wreaked havoc, and it is far from certain that we shall recover and escape dissolution and destruction.
Yet, here we are. As I said, Hollywood, backed by the mainstream media, has taken a very strong stance against the objectification and sexualization of women. Where this will go from here, nobody really knows. But, I believe Hollywood and the media have just boxed themselves into a corner, and must commit to some very obvious and revolutionary transformations, if they are to be taken seriously, at all. Imagine the ramifications toward a pro-life culture, once women are no longer treated as an object for men’s pleasure!

In just the first 25 days of this 90-day prayer campaign, we witnessed …

    • President Donald J. Trump was the first President to directly address the March for Life
    • President Donald J. Trump Proclaims January 22, 2018, as National Sanctity of Human Life Day
    • US House passed The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act
    • The Senate confirms Pro-Life Alex Azar as the newest HHS secretary
    • The Senate approves Trump Nominee Pro-Life Gov. Sam Brownback as Religious Freedom Ambassador
    • Trump administration creation of the Conscience and Religious Freedom Division of Health and Human Services to protect religious freedoms of medical professionals.
    • Cecile Richards stepping down as Planned Parenthood head
    • Senate to vote on the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act
    • President Donald J. Trump clears the way for States to de-fund Planned Parenthood
Enlist to Fight in Rosary Coast to Coast, Starting August 15 to October 7

And now we are at the precipice of a great transformation within our culture, with the opportunity to nominate a Supreme Court Justice who can recover the pro-life culture we once were 45 years ago.

Join ranks with special forces prayer warriors from around the nation in what is called “Rosary Coast to Coast” (I refer to it as the “D-Day of Spiritual Warfare”)

Justice Kennedy retires on July 31. Proceedings for the nomination of a new Supreme Court Justice will occur in August. The 54 Day Rosary Novena starts on August 15 (Feast of the Assumption) and goes to October 7 (Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary).

How to Reverse the Curse in America
July 3, 2018 by Fr. Richard Heilman
I believe authority was given to the holy Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone, Archbishop of San Francisco, California, over the very place the fissure opened and the smoke of Satan entered into America.

Exactly 50 years from this fateful eruption of evil, and on the 100th Anniversary of Fatima, Archbishop Cordileone grasped hold of that authority and looked to seal the fissure that opened a half century prior.

On October 7, 2017, in the centennial year of Fatima, Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone proclaimed his “Call to Spiritual Arms” as he consecrated his Archdiocese to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. If we ever hope to reverse the curse in America, we simply must adhere to the one who stands in authority over the place where Satan first entered our nation.

Literally, a fissure occurred in America, and the smoke of Satan entered into San Francisco and spread across our nation …

It is interesting. Lockwood was a close personal friend of Henry Clay a very renown Mason and responsible for much political maneuvering in DC and serving as Secretary of State under Adams who was not a Mason or supporter. I could not find any mention of Lockwoods membership although he really seems to be not well known until President Trumps election. Of course a great many men in positions of power were masons at that time and a man such as Lockwood who was a NY Attorney would have known many such men.

  10. Sorry if this has already been covered here....we've been w/o telephone, internet, and TV since Tues. due to Verizon/FIOS power source failure....said ours lasted longer than most! Kind of a rehearsal for when the grid goes down in the future...ha! You learn a lot about yourself and the world from the sidelines! Just now catching up on emails, etc. Anyway I noticed that Mike Brown, Spirit Daily, has new "Special Report (prophecy)" up, "the old book that predicted trump", but you have to join up in order to read such "specials". Other article I found sounds a bit far fetched and a stretch but there could be a nugget of some kine of similarity, in names if nothing else! So I found some info on topic elsewhere re: "Did an Author from the 1800s predict the Trumps, Russia and America's down fall" (part hopefully not fulfilled any time soon) here:

    http://www.newsweek.com/donald-trum...ockwood-adventures-barron-melania-last-644284

Ingersoll Lockwood, an American political writer, lawyer and novelist, combined a unique mixture of science fiction and fantasy into his novels from the late 1800s. Two of his most popular works of literature were illustrated children’s stories, focusing on a peculiar fictional character whose name rings a bell in 2017: Baron Trump.

Trump, an aristocratically wealthy young man living in Castle Trump, is the protagonist of Lockwood's first two fictional novels, The Travels and Adventures of Little Baron Trump and His Wonderful Dog Bulgar and Baron Trump’s Marvelous Underground Journey. The little boy, who has an unending imagination and "a very active brain," is bored of the luxurious lifestyle he has grown so accustomed to. In a twist of fate, Trump visits Russia to embark on an extraordinary adventure that will shape the rest of his life.

Lockwood's final novel arrived in 1896, titled The Last President.

There are some incredible connections to be made to the first family of the United States and Lockwood’s novels from the turn of the 19th century. For starters, the main character’s name is the same as President Donald Trump’s son, albeit spelt differently. Trump’s adventures begin in Russia, and are guided thanks to directions provided by "the master of all masters," a man named "Don."

Before leaving for his voyage through the unknown, Trump is told of his family’s motto: "The pathway to glory is strewn with pitfalls and dangers."

Illustrations from the novels depict Trump dressed in lavish, old-fashioned clothing and jewelry as he departs from Castle Trump and begins his voyage, heading to Russia to locate an entrance into alternate dimensions.

But by Lockwood’s third novel, The Last President, things become even more eerily linked to the present day.

The story begins with a scene from a panicked New York City in early November, describing a "state of uproar" after the election of an enormously opposed outsider candidate.

"The entire East Side is in a state of uproar," police officers shouted through the streets, warning city folk to stay indoors for the night. "Mobs of vast size are organizing under the lead of anarchists and socialists, and threaten to plunder and despoil the houses of the rich who have wronged and oppressed them for so many years."

"The Fifth Avenue Hotel will be the first to feel the fury of the mob," the novel continues, citing an address in New York City where Trump Tower now stands. "Would the troops be in time to save it?"

Lockwood’s creations have resurfaced online in recent weeks on forums and Reddit, thanks to a number of 4chan users who shared images and conspiracy theories about the fantasy stories. Some claimed the Trump family possesses a time machine that has allowed them to remain powerful to this day.

The Last President doesn’t follow the same fictional narrative of Lockwood’s previous novels, though the links to Trump are once again abundantly clear. The president’s hometown of New York City is fearing the collapse of the republic in this book, also titled 1900, immediately following the transition of presidential power. Some Americans begin forming a resistance, protesting what was seen as a corrupt and unethical election process.

A filmmaker and Trump supporter named Leigh Scott is now trying to crowdsource funding to create a fantasy feature film, saying he’s a "huge fan of trolling."

"Even though I work in Hollywood, I actually support President Trump," Scott says in a promotional video for his project. "The book has tons of strange references to the modern day, but we can actually amp that up a bit and put in things that only we as Trump supporters and people who are on the internet all the time really understand and appreciate."

  11. As has been warned....beware China (and their philosophy is that they have numbers of disposable bodies to serve for the cause!):

China's military reforms to 'WIN A WAR' and overtake the US revealed in leaked memo

CHINA’s military reforms have been revealed by leaked internal documents, which indicate Beijing intends to expand its military might offshore so that the country will be allowed to “manage a crisis, contain a conflict, win a war” and overtake the United States in military strength.

The leaked documents were published by the Central Military Commission in February for the purpose of spreading President Xi Jinping’s “thought on strengthening the armed forces”.

If the reforms go ahead, they will lead to heightened tensions with China’s neighbouring countries, including Japan, in the East and South China Seas and the US.

The documents read: “As we open up and expand our national interests beyond borders, we desperately need a comprehensive protection of our own security around the globe.”

The report adds a military expansion will allow China to “more effectively create a situation, manage a crisis, contain a conflict, win a war, defend the expansion of our country’s strategic interests in an all-round fashion and realise the goals set by the party and Chairman Xi”.

It also makes clear from the start that the People’s Liberation Army is in line with the “core” leader Xi Jinping and agrees and adheres to his thought on socialism for a new era.

According to Newsweek, the authors argue a “strong military might is important for a country to grow from being big to being strong,” indicating that the US, Russia and Japan are the example of it.

The document gives particular importance to avoiding the Thucydides Trap, which is when a rising power comes into conflict with a more established enemy.

The report said a strong military is the best way to “escape the obsession that war is unavoidable between an emerging power and a ruling hegemony".

A direct confrontation with the US is referred to as “a slower vehicle on a curve", which means it is in decline but it also claims the aim of the reforms is to surpass the American military might.

The documents were leaked as the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) navy launched two advanced warships designed for surface warfare, long-range air defence and anti-submarine operations, as the country's naval modernisation continues.

In May, the United States raised concerns with China about its latest militarisation of the South China Sea and claimed there will be short-term and long-term consequences.

In the disputed South China Sea, China has built up its presence on the islands more than any other country in the area, installing air bases, radar systems, and defence capabilities.

It has also emerged the country has been recently testing radar cross-sections (RCS) for new fighter jets.

A RCS index can measure how detectable an object is by radar and can be used in ballistic missiles.

China is supposedly testing such features on its aircrafts, destroyers, tanks and submarines..

Only the US, Russia and a few European countries can conduct such testing.

When US defence secretary Jim Mattis visited China, President Xi Jinping told him that Beijing would not yield “one inch” of the South China Sea.

A grim Fourth of July arrives in the Age of Trump

Tomorrow is July Fourth, so today is a good day to assess the health of our republic and its more than 200-year experiment in self-governance. Are we living up to the ideals articulated in the founding document, the anniversary of which we commemorate on that day? Relatedly, the constitutional order that subsequently flowed from the Declaration and War of Independence, and has served us exceedingly well — how is that holding up?

This time last year, there was cause for concern but also reason to think our Constitution was up to the task of confronting Trumpism. President Donald Trump had been in office for some six months. The courts had blocked his effort to enact a ban on accepting refugees from certain Muslim countries. The Senate had just postponed a vote on its effort to repeal the Affordable Care Act because the recent analysis of the Congressional Budget Office showed that millions of Americans would lose their insurance. That was a bridge too far for at least three Republican senators. Bob Mueller, longtime Republican and almost universally respected former director of the FBI, had begun his investigation into Russian interference in our elections.

Follow the journeys of refugees around the world. Read this special series from Global Sisters Report.

Trump even gave a decent speech at the NATO summit when a monument to the invocation of Article 5 of the NATO Charter after the attack of Sept. 11, 2001, was unveiled. Yes, he harped on the need for our allies to pay more for the alliance's military, but he did not attack the alliance per se nor the heads of state or government assembled in Brussels.

This Fourth of July, however, the picture is far less sanguine. The Republicans passed a tax reform law that was light on the reform and heavy on the lower rates for rich people. They also included in other legislation the abolition of the individual mandate, a key part of the Affordable Care Act. Congressional Republicans have been willing to abuse their oversight role to frustrate the Mueller probe, their questioning of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein demonstrating a fondness for conspiracy theories that would do Oliver Stone proud.

Worst of all, three developments the last week of June showed the degree to which the entire Republican establishment has caved to Trumpism.

The Supreme Court's decision in Janus v. AFSCME, Council 31, made me angry, but it was the decision in the Muslim ban case that was really shocking. The justices made clear they have no desire to restrain Trump's racist use of executive power, and that lack of such desire is shocking. In a courtroom, you will hear a lawyer say, "I object. The question assumes facts not in evidence." The court assumed facts not in existence, namely, that there was a legitimate government function, national security, and that the ban was not based on anti-Muslim animus of the kind prohibited by the Constitution.

Trump v. Hawaii was not, like Janus, built on a faulty legal theory. Like the infamous Dred Scott case, which was built on the lie that Scott was not a person, this decision was built on a lie. It was pitiful to see Chief Justice John Roberts puff up his little chest in moral rectitude, insisting the court was overturning the Korematsu decision permitting the internment of Americans with Japanese ancestry during World War II. At least the court in 1944 wrestled with the facts in the case. Despite the president's repeated public statements that his travel ban was directed at Muslims, and — what is worse because it harder to ignore in this instance — despite his repeated statements that he was making cosmetic changes to the Muslim ban so that the ban could pass judicial muster, the court looked the other way and accepted the lie that this ban was about anything more than using the power of the presidency to rile up Trump's base by stoking their fears of Muslims.

The oral arguments in the Muslim ban case were held in late April. Within weeks, the attorney general announced his plan to separate immigrant children from their parents at the border as a deterrent. Which leads to our second reason to fear for the country this July Fourth: Whatever the court's initial thinking about the Muslim ban case, the new policy of separating children, even toddlers, from their parents demonstrated that the Trump administration had no internal constraints in their willingness to demonize minorities through inhumane public policy.

The normal human sympathy for those in vulnerable situations is not normal in this White House: The vulnerability of the immigrants is exploited. It was against this backdrop that the Supreme Court indicated its unwillingness to demand the president's actions pass a test of strict scrutiny.

Finally, the decision of Associate Justice Anthony Kennedy to retire indicates that the Republican legal establishment does not intend to defend the constitutional order from this orange rogue of a president. They have seen the Republicans in Congress cave. They have seen the court cave — even after Trump has spoken about the rule of law with more disregard than any president since Andrew Jackson famously, if apocryphally, said, "The chief justice has made his decision, now let him enforce it."

The Republican legal establishment will now let Trump appoint whomever he wants because that person, likely, will follow enough of their agenda that they can abide his or her willingness to look the other way if the government discriminates against Muslims and Latinos. Separating children from their refugee parents did not make them take a stand. What will?

Kennedy was my least favorite justice because he was the most libertarian of the justices. My liberal friends liked that he sided with them on same-sex marriage and upholding Roe but his reasons on both issues were always libertarian reasons, which are not my reasons.

And his decision to leave the court now means that my hope the Democrats would learn how to place a closed parenthesis on all culture-war discussions and focus, instead, on wage stagnation, that hope is now ended. The midterms and likely the 2020 election will be fought over abortion. The most repugnant racists and apologists for racism will be waving the pro-life flag, while those of us who care about migrants and refugees will see the party that stands up to Trump fall ever more into the grasp of abortion rights advocates who can't spell solidarity. It is grim.

I had been prepared for the Janus decision to go the way it did. I was, therefore, surprised by how angry I got when the decision was released and how my anger did not dissipate. I left my computer to go work in the garden, something that almost always restores equanimity, but not this time. The Supreme Court had a chance to defend the decency of the nation and it failed to do so.

Normally, when I get into a debate with a conservative friend and we are at an impasse, with no hope for resolution, I try to ease the tension with levity, and say, "Well, when the revolution comes, I will put in a good word for you and your family." To my friends in the Republican political and legal establishment who have not stood up to Trump: When the revolution comes, you are on your own, and I will be clamoring not for mercy but for a seat next to the guillotine, where I can do my knitting.

Where Brett Kavanaugh sits on the ideological spectrum
Andrew Witherspoon, Harry Stevens19 mins ago

Brett Kavanaugh, President Trump's nominee to replace Justice Anthony Kennedy on the Supreme Court, would have the second most conservative score (0.693) on the bench if confirmed, next to Justice Clarence Thomas (0.725), per a measure that scores judges on a liberal-conservative spectrum.

Why it matters: Kennedy often sided with the liberal wing of the court, so with this choice, Trump is cementing a solid conservative majority on the bench.

How to read the chart: An analysis by political scientists Lee Epstein, Andrew D. Martin, and Kevin Quinn places judges on an ideological spectrum called the “Judicial Common Space." Conservative justices receive scores from 0 to 1, liberal justices from –1 to 0.
