    Luisa's letter to Father L Beda, O.S.B. (Letter 75): "Reverend Father, it is the Will of God that His Kingdom come upon earth; therefore, it is most certain that It will come - either by means of love, or by chastisements. Otherwise, Creation would be a work deprived of Its crowning. God would seem to be as though impotent in the face of the other creatures, who possess fecundity, because only the Divine Will would not be able to form Its divine Life within our souls. No - not this. We are convinced that the Kingdom of His Will will come."

    My brother who is 64 and can hardly walk said to me last night how wonderful it would be to be given a new body and live forever.

    I answered that it would be a nightmare. I love life but it is only a hallway to our real eternal life.

    We truly are like the grass that withers and dies. Life is very fleeting

    Although debated forever I still wonder if a loving, merciful God creates a person ill-equipped to get through this life successfully with addictions and tenancies to do the wrong thing, then after failing they spend eternity in Hell. Does anything warrant ETERNITY in hell? Guess so.

    That's why we can't judge, only God can.
    Personally I don't think addictions are the worst thing.

    Being mean and spiteful seems a lot worse

  9. Julia

    Julia Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.

    It is well to note that God gives us all a free will. Addictions are formed as a result of free choices made before the curse of addiction ensnares.

    We are all flawed through the effects of original sin. But Jesus died in the Cross to Atone to God the Father for our sins. Yes even before we were born.

    The tendency to do wrong is the weakness of the flesh. Even Saint Paul wrote about how he seemed to want to do the right thing; but made the mistakes he wanted to avoid. I believe this is why we have the Sacrament of Confession. Jesus knew we would get a lot wrong. His agony and death was His Testimony that He would forgive us 70 times 70 and some as long as we had the humility to come to the Throne of Mercy at the Confessional and have the courage and Trust to say sorry, as many times as it takes.

    If we never overcome the weakness, when we meet Him having never given up trying, we will be running the race to the finish. Fighting the good fight to the end. And no doubt humbled in the process if our falls continue to the end.

    I trust Jesus, to keep His Word, and never tire of saying that magic little word from the heart in the Confessional. Sorry Lord, I messed up again. Forgive me. He promised He would forgive.

    Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have Mercy on Julia, a sinner. Amen.

    And if the devil reminds you of your past. Remind him of his future. While we live we are in with a chance, devil is already condemned. Praise God.

    My brother in law - an alcoholic has to pray each morning for God to give him the grace to remain sober each day - and at the end of the day he gets on his knees to thank God for getting him through the day -- humility is needed when confronted with our human weaknesses --

    Mark Mallett has written one of his finest blogs on the coming of the New Era and Living In the Divine Will. A lengthy blog that aims to to clear some of the confusion in the minds of those who take aim at his understandings of these end times. It is well worth reading for anyone who takes these end times seriously.

    Jesus told Luisa that reading the Hours of the Passion each day might protect their town from some chastisements.

    "The satisfaction which blessed Jesus feels from the mediation of these Hours is such that He wishes that there were at least one copy of these meditations for souls to practice for each city or town; because then what happens is that in those reparations Jesus feels reproduced his own voice and his prayers, which He raised to His Father in the twenty four hours of His painful Passion. And if this were practiced by at least some souls in each town or city, it seems to me that Jesus makes me understand that the Divine Justice would be partly placated, and

    his scourges would be partly stopped and, as it were, extinguished in these sad times of torment and bloodshed."

    It is no wonder that Pope Pius thought that Antichrist might have been walking the world in his time here with the likes of men such as this attaining the height of popularity in the secular world. My point being that this all has been a long time in the making and is deliberate and well thought out.

    It is interesting that the same argument against the belief in hell was an attitude popularly taken then too.

    This pin-head is a moron. They cannot accept God, not based on reason, but by the fact that they need proof. Furthermore, self professed atheists cannot explain miracles, which defy science. Miracles such as Fatima. I was a nominal practicing Catholic till I heard of Fatima for the first time 35 years ago. Upon hearing the story I couldn't wait to get to the university library and dig into old micro-film to research this story. And when I read 70,000, mostly unbelievers, watched as the sun dried up 3 day's of soaking rain in a matter of seconds, while they watched the sun fall from the sky and resume its setting, that was amazing to me. And, upon further realizing that it is the only miracle in history to have been told in advance (3 months) to happen on a particular date, place and time it was more spectacular. Now these pin-headed intellectual's cannot reason through God's miracles, so they use all kinds of rhetoric to convince others and themselves that they don't need a God. They are their own god. And here we are in 2018, in a period where most people are atheist (either explicitly or implicitly) and don't even argue against a god, because their god is one of relativism that teaches their is no absolutes including an absolute god. How blessed are we that know, love and serve the God of all creation and a God who loves us so much he sent his only Son to redeem us from sin and invite us to live in absolute love for all eternity with Him if we but love him in return.

    In light of the above two posts I decided to post this. It is a Protestant speaker and so normally I would not post something that is not Catholic, but he makes a very good and interesting point. People do not believe because they don't want to believe.

    It's only 4 minutes, but if you only want to watch the relevant part of it start at the 1:00 minute mark.

    Wisdom, chapter 2

    1For, not thinking rightly, they said among themselves:*

    “Brief and troubled is our lifetime;a

    there is no remedy for our dying,

    nor is anyone known to have come back from Hades.

    2For by mere chance were we born,

    and hereafter we shall be as though we had not been;

    Because the breath in our nostrils is smoke,

    and reason a spark from the beating of our hearts,

    3And when this is quenched, our body will be ashes

    and our spirit will be poured abroad like empty air.b

    4Even our name will be forgotten in time,

    and no one will recall our deeds.

    So our life will pass away like the traces of a cloud,

    and will be dispersed like a mist

    Pursued by the sun’s rays

    and overpowered by its heat.

    5For our lifetime is the passing of a shadow;

    and our dying cannot be deferred

    because it is fixed with a seal; and no one returns.c

    6Come, therefore, let us enjoy the good things that are here,

    and make use of creation with youthful zest.d

    7Let us have our fill of costly wine and perfumes,

    and let no springtime blossom pass us by;

    8let us crown ourselves with rosebuds before they wither.

    9Let no meadow be free from our wantonness;

    everywhere let us leave tokens of our merriment,

    for this is our portion, and this our lot.e

    10Let us oppress the righteous poor;

    let us neither spare the widow

    nor revere the aged for hair grown white with time.f

    11But let our strength be our norm of righteousness;

    for weakness proves itself useless.

    12* Let us lie in wait for the righteous one, because he is annoying to us;

    he opposes our actions,

    Reproaches us for transgressions of the law*

    and charges us with violations of our training.g

    13He professes to have knowledge of God

    and styles himself a child of the LORD.h

    14To us he is the censure of our thoughts;

    merely to see him is a hardship for us,i

    15Because his life is not like that of others,

    and different are his ways.

    16He judges us debased;

    he holds aloof from our paths as from things impure.

    He calls blest the destiny of the righteous

    and boasts that God is his Father.j

    17Let us see whether his words be true;

    let us find out what will happen to him in the end.k

    18For if the righteous one is the son of God, God will help him

    and deliver him from the hand of his foes.l

    19With violence and torture let us put him to the test

    that we may have proof of his gentleness

    and try his patience.

    20Let us condemn him to a shameful death;

    for according to his own words, God will take care of him.”m

    21These were their thoughts, but they erred;

    for their wickedness blinded them,n

    22* And they did not know the hidden counsels of God;

    neither did they count on a recompense for holiness

    nor discern the innocent souls’ reward.o

    23For God formed us to be imperishable;

    the image of his own nature he made us.p

    24But by the envy* of the devil, death entered the world,

    and they who are allied with him experience it.q

    I would posit that the very reason for the Wests rise and incredible leaps in thought and most importantly in the increase in reason itself is the direct result of Christianity and of the Church.

    Men such as Russell and his followers love to cherry pick examples which the world has done its utmost to turn into scandalous examples of the Church (as they love to think of it in ghastly horror) gone terribly wrong. They have convinced many, with the takeover of the educational system and corruption of the minds of our children that they are correct.

    I am reading a book right now by Rodney Stark which others might enjoy on this very subject titled The Victory of Reason. In fact it would be a good read for young minds as well who have a longing for the Truth.

    There is a family behind me on the campsite. Grandma and grandpa are there loads of kids a large camp table and fire.

    They just never stop laughing and talking.No matter how late I go to bed they are all still up enjoying their stuff.

    They are the best argument for God and heaven I have seen in a long time for they clearly are all already in heaven.

    In the early Church martyrdom was pretty well always out there.

    But the very remarkable thing was that instead of a threat it became an aspiration.

    We need to return to that place

    Yes Padraig you've hit the nail on the head!

    We are living in a valley of tears.
    We are pilgrims in a strange land.

    This is not our home!

    We are called to trust and to love on this pilgrimage. At times like these where we all see the chastisement on the horizon, we are called to embrace our cross, to kiss our cross and to love our cross; we are called to truly Love and to truly Trust!

    There is no crown without a cross!

    Our Lord Jesus Himself tells us straight after He reproached Peter for "thinking not as God thinks but as human beings do."

    He said......
    'If anyone wants to be a follower of mine, let him renounce himself and take up his cross and follow me.
    Follow Jesus where?
    He then showed them where........ to death.

    What is predictable is that the world tells us to shake off the cross and join the world. But what is sad is that many Catholics/Christians believe prophets who tell them that they can avoid the cross. Some so called prophets speak of secret ways that have never been revealed to the Church before?, ways that have been reserved for the "special ones"? Subtly these prophets entice even the elect to follow these newly revealed ways, promising the sparing of the cross!

    The New Testament reveals it all! And the sword of suffering even pierced the Heart of Our Lords most Holy Mother; Mary is the Queen of Martyrs

    Luke 9:23 “If anyone wishes to come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”
    Matt 16:24 - Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.".
