I have not thank God experienced such intense evil violent dreams but I have often experienced attacks from the devil in my own dreams since childhood. As a child I would try to pray the Hail Mary and finally would wake up. Other times after my return to theFaith I have called on the Precious Blood and had sudden deliverance. But getting the words out—not easy!! I have pondered these attacks. I suppose it is a good sign. I knew a very Holy quite elderly man who has since gone to God —a real prayer warrior who spent hours in Front of the Blessed Sacrament. He confided in me that the devil would throw him out of bed to the floor. He shrugged it off but said it made sleep difficult. What a lovely saint.
How enlightening it is to read from those who actively want to pray for the Pope they should encounter and by the Grace of God recognise evil assaults from the devil. I think as the numbers grow who begin to truly form a shield of Holy protection for the Pope, we can hope Heavenly Father will not be outdone in generosity and come powerfully to the aid of the Holy Father; who is after all just a human being like the rest of us with all his weaknesses and faults. God help and protect our Pope. I learned years ago that the devil only makes himself known to us either audibly, visually or the presence of unfounded fear, or unfounded smells, or unfounded emotions in the way we react to those around us; when he fails to tempt us or ensnare us either through other souls who unwittingly sometimes do the devils dirty work for him, or through other personal human weakness. Then Jesus gave us the confessional to wipe the slate clean when we fail. Glory and Praise be to God, Who knows how weak and helpless we are, and has given us this great way to make a fresh start every time we are ready to turn to Him. Once you put your hand to the plough, don't for Gods sake ever look back. That is the fastest way to send the devil packing. Because he will get bored tempting and attacking you when he realises he is on a losing streak with you. Onwards 'Watching and Praying,' just like our Heavenly Mother. And the devil is terrified of her. Through our prayers and love for Holy Father we become an unstoppable force against the attacks of the devil, and Blessed Mother is our Commander in Chief. Only right coming from Mother of God Forum, terrible in battle when we let our Rosary beads do the talking. All praise, glory, honour and victory to our awesome God and Father, our awesome Redeemer Jesus, our awesome Holy Spirit, and our awesome Heavenly Mother. The gates of hell have no chance of prevailing against an army of Prayer Warriors in the humble service of our Triune God.
My spiritual director (the late Fr Bernard O'Donnell C>P. before he did his exorcism went for advice to a priest whom I think was called Fr Curran who was at that time said to be the top exorcist in Britain. Fr Bernard was more than a little nervous about the come back from the exorcism which was on a young man, a drug dealer who had sold his soul to the devil Fr Curran laughed and said not much, that sometimes at night the devil lifted the end of his bedd and gave it good shake and other little things like that. Poor Fr Bernard nearly took heart failure hearing this. I suppose it is a case of horses for courses. Some things that would mildly frighten some people would just about kill others. But God makes alllowances for this I am sure and would not permit more than we can endure. I think too we are all of us pretty resiliant and can get used to just about anything...nearly.

God Bless our Holy Father I think the crescendo got to him too, although he dosen't give away much, even so I believe I saw a twinkling in his eye.

I have had two intense evil dreams in the last couple of months, so awful I cannot share them I know they are from evil spirits, actually attacking me, one of my Carmelites gave me a blessed scapular she brought back from Fatima and I have been taking it to bed with me. Perhaps because I made my temporary promises in October, or because I am nearing completion on my book, "Finding The Face Of Jesus".
I think often when the doorways of our hearts are kicked open one way, to the dark, they are gentle opened the other way, perhaps as a consolation , perhaps as a Divine balancing act. Last night I woke up to hearing in my heart the Litany of the Saints sung and as I watched the named saints float past in the sky, great and golden. I thought it was so beautiful that I was going to die. Also because the Litany of the Saints is often said at the bedside of the dying. After Faustina was traumatized by her visions of hell, she was given the Divine Mercy prayer to share with the world as a weapon in the war to save souls. But sadly, less attention has been given to her encouraging visions of heaven, about which she wrote: “Today I was in heaven, in spirit, and I saw its unconceivable beauties and the happiness that awaits us after death. I saw how all creatures give ceaseless praise and glory to God. I saw how great is happiness in God, which spreads to all creatures, making them happy; and then all the glory and praise which springs from this happiness returns to its source; and they enter into the depths of God, contemplating the inner life of God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, whom they will never comprehend or fathom. This source of happiness is unchanging in its essence, but it is always new, gushing forth happiness for all creatures.” St. Alphonsus Maria de Liguori told a story shared with him by a superior of the Jesuit order about a different superior who appeared to him after his death and gave a detailed report about what sort of treatment different people could expect in heaven. However, we are both happy, and our hearts are completely satisfied.” Pope St. Gregory the Great spoke of the supernatural unity between the entire communion of Saints in heaven, and their seemingly infinite knowledge: “Beside all this, a more wonderful grace is bestowed upon the Saints in heaven: for they know not only them with whom they were acquainted in this world, but also those whom before they never saw, and converse with them in such familiar sort as though in times past they had seen and known one another: and therefore when they shall see the ancient fathers in that place of perpetual bliss, they shall then know them by sight, whom always they knew in their lives and conversation.
