Good election commentry from Mark Mallett http://www.markmallett.com/blog/this-revolutionary-spirit/#more-25102 When people are saying, “Peace and security,” then sudden disaster comes upon them, like labor pains upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. (1 Thessalonians 5:3) What is clear from the U.S. election is that the battle between light and darkness is on full display. Given the riots and protests, it is equally clear that the confrontation is far from over.

Donna, there is plenty of room for you in the Midwest and jobs are available too. Just look at the election map and move to a red state. Maybe God is trying to tell you something???
Hi Donna, I think I know what you are trying to say here. I disagree with racial quotas myself. The best person for a job should get it period. I just think we all need to be really careful though when talking about race. I am as lilly-white as they come, however we should not dislike someone just because of their race. There are a lot of people on the forum and I am sure not all of them are white. I think some of the ways you phrased things could be quite offensive to some of our fellow Catholics here and make them feel marginalized or unwelcome on the forum. Immigrants in themselves are not bad. Illegal people breaking the law and entering the country are another thing entirely. These are two separate issues. Another thing to remember is that many of these (legal) immigrants bring a more vibrant Catholicism with them. Hispanics, Filipinos, Africans, etc. They are all a part of God’s creation and many are members of his Church. I don’t think you intended anything bigoted by your post but it could come across that way.
You are a victim of another deception by the mainstream media! Dylan never stopped being a Christian. The only question is how close he has come to Catholicism. Certainly in his most recent album of self-penned songs he has sung about the 'Mother of Our Lord'. Many of his songs in the last thirty-five years or more have been replete with Gospel references.
Really, Donna, why would you put yourself, your husband, and your father through such an uncomfortable experience at a gathering to give thanks to God for his bounty? Have you been given a reciprocal guarantee that nobody will mention the election or Hillary Clinton or is it a case that you won't be permitted to mention how you voted but will be subjected to endless diatribes against voters like you. Can't you cry off and have your own thanksgiving with people who put God before a political party, ideology or person? This reminds me of what Jesus said about putting father, mother, etc. before Him. Maybe you would be better moving to Texas or some other State where people respect your right to vote and don't attempt to suppress your freedom of speech.
The person behind this site has abandoned Christianity. He claims to be 'debunking the Christian myth'. I would ignore his agenda completely, myself.
Mark Mallett is right. It definitely seems to be a direct battle between darkness and light that is going on at the moment... Funnily enough those who were claiming to be all for peace and love and "rights" etc. seem to be the main instigators of the confrontation at the moment, the liberals.
Have you seen this video of a woman kicking her child out of the house because he voted for Trump in a mock election in school? She actually filmed what she did and uploaded it to the internet. Sick. God love that little boy because apparently his mother doesn't. Here's a video from an African American man explaining how he was treated in school for voting for Bush. It's brainwashing, apparently it doesn't only happen to African American children, and probably explains all the hysteria from young people in reaction to the election results:
Praetorian: I have no problem with immigrants coming legally to this country. I do not want to sound bigoted. My entire town has turned Muslim and Hindu.....a very difficult proposition. What part of the country are you from? It's quite difficult to be here in the middle of a very seriously changing demographic. I am a nurse and worked with mostly Filipino Catholics who I adore! My best friends are both Cuban. My prayer group at church is composed of an African, Sri Lankan, Cuban and Lebanese woman (Maronite rite). So, I love my international Catholic friends....and have no problem with legal immigrants. My town (I know because I register the students) is bombarded with families that are being "hosted" by relatives. Sometimes upwards of 3 or 4 families can live in one large home. It's insane. The first thing they need is health care as they are not working. I have to get people attached to NJ Family Care immediately so they are properly vaccinated to enter school. I have my eye on the ball up and close here. I am not being bigoted, just overwhelmed. I don't see it ending soon either.
What you are facing has nothing to do with race. It is all to do with the unprecedented mingling of immiscible cultures. The abandonment of national borders is inevitably going to lead to the establishment of multiple intranational ones, bringing not peace but an exponential increase in opportunity for conflict.
That mother was being abusive.....that video was awful. That poor, poor kid....shamed by his nutty mother. I hope trump invites this kid to his inauguration and gives him a tour of the White House. This should SHAME his awful mother. God bless that poor boy.
I didn't think you meant it to be bigoted, but I just read your post a second time from the standpoint of someone who was of Asian, African etc. descent and there were a few lines that would have given me pause. I live in a city where they are transplanting large numbers of Ethiopian Muslims so I understand your frustration. They are overwhelming the government handouts and causing taxes to go up. That sort of thing I am not in favor of at all. I grew up on Long Island so I am familiar with the area
It's more evidence that people are being conditioned to treat a political party as a religion where the party comes first before God, family or country. That's what the Soviets and the Maoists did. There's an old saying "vote to put Communists in power and they will never relinquish power". Isn't that what's happening now in the US? Although they lost the election, the Democrats are using mob rule to hold on to power.
I just saw Mark Mallett at the Flame of Love Conference in Philly last month. He was on FIRE! Oh he is quite amazing!
Has anyone considered the possibility that these attempts to sway the voters of the Electoral College, because of Clinton's narrow majority in the popular vote, might succeed?
