Not all the US Bishops are bad apples. Bishop Chaput courageously spoke out against Hillary's attempts to infiltrate the Catholic Church. The problem is that there are Judas's within the Catholic Church, like this liberal priest (who is also a CNN gun-for-hire) who has written in defense of the Clinton campaign. I got sick to my stomach when I read this propaganda piece by Father Edward L. Beck:

Why Clinton campaign emails aren’t necessarily anti-Catholic

Some Catholics were left scratching their heads by the kerfuffle created by the revelation of hacked emails of the Clinton campaign.

Conservative Catholic groups and some members of the hierarchy were quick to accuse the writers of the emails of participating in an anti-Catholic smear. Archbishop Charles Chaput of Philadelphia called for an apology from the Clinton campaign.

“Of course it would be wonderful for the Clinton campaign to repudiate the content of these ugly WikiLeaks emails,” he said.

Catholic League President Bill Donohue said that John Podesta, campaign chair for Clinton, should be fired for his participation in the controversial email exchange: “He is fomenting revolution in the Catholic Church, creating mutiny and is totally unethical.”

Not all Catholics agree with such grandiose assessments, which suggest a nefarious plot against the Catholic Church. More progressive Catholics view the email exchange as an honest dialogue - intended to be private - between people (all Catholics themselves, by the way) discussing how to respond to a conservative element in the Catholic Church that seems intent on turning back the advances of Vatican II.

In the emails, John Halpin, a Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress, suggests that the Catholicism of some socially conservative Catholics, including members of the Supreme Court, is “an amazing bastardization of the faith…They must be attracted to the systematic thought and severely backwards gender relations and must be totally unaware of Christian democracy.”

Jennifer Palmieri, the Clinton campaign director of communications, responds, “I imagine they think it is the most socially acceptable politically conservative religion. Their rich friends wouldn’t understand if they became evangelical.”

As Pope Francis has often indicated, the Catholic Church is a large tent that allows for many opinions and perspectives within its flaps. The writers of the emails in question can be seen as Catholics expressing their views about how their faith intersects with public policy and social agenda.

The emails can likewise be interpreted as drafted by Catholics who are concerned that their Church risks becoming irrelevant, rather than being interpreted as smears on a Church they disdain.

Palmieri’s response actually seems more denigrating to Evangelicals than to Catholics. Progressive Catholics understand precisely what is being communicated in the exchange. It is not unlike other familiar conversations among clergy and Catholics who have been buoyed by the strides of Pope Francis, and his emphasis on social justice over controversial moral and sexual teachings.

Many Catholics do believe, as the emails suggest, that Church teaching needs to evolve more quickly if it is to have a relevant impact on a rapidly evolving world. Those Catholics are also sympathetic to the reality that private email exchanges may be less than diplomatic and not always politically correct in expressing those heartfelt concerns.

In responding to an email by Sandy Newman of Voices for Progress, who suggests the need for a “Catholic Spring”, John Podesta writes, “We created Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good to organize for a moment like this…Like most Spring movements, I think this one will have to be bottom up.”

This hardly sounds like a man intent on creating an “unethical mutiny.” Rather, it sounds more like a concerned Catholic attempting to align his faith with his political ideals and principles, albeit from his left-of-center perspective.

Pope Francis has said, “A good Catholic meddles in politics, offering the best of himself, so that those who govern can govern.”

The meddling of a few wonky Catholic Clinton campaigners should be less concerning to us than the meddling of far more impious entities who hack private emails and illegally release them, to a populace all too ready to put its own spin on them.

No surprises there. He wouldn't be a regular on CNN if he weren't a mouthpiece for the Democratic Party. He can't serve two masters and, along with Podesta, he has chosen which master to serve. No doubt the other "Catholic spokesperson" that CNN usually trots out will be the next to spout the same drivel to the political faithful in further attempts to deceive Christ's faithful. Is John Allen the name of the other guy? I can't remember. Both he and Fr. Beck are very big in pushing homosexual relations as good.

They could also be getting the defence in early lest a few bishops are implicated in future emails. They all talk like the Church is a Pope Francis one man band and would be thrilled if he turned into an Obama style dictator. I don't understand why the Bishops and the Vatican aren't distancing themselves from these people.

I expect we'll find out soon enough provided Assange lives that long. There are reports that the Bolivians are succumbing to pressure and that Assange will either be arrested or dead before any more can be leaked. I wonder whether Assange has a plan B.

 

Anti-Catholics & Elitist Bigots

Will Hillary Clinton clean out the nest of anti-Catholic bigots in her inner circle? Or is anti-Catholicism acceptable in her crowd?

In a 2011 email on which Clinton campaign chief John Podesta was copied, John Halpin, a fellow at the Center for American Progress that Podesta founded, trashed Rupert Murdoch for raising his kids in a misogynist religion.

The most “powerful elements” in the conservative movement are Catholic, railed Halpin: “It’s an amazing bastardization of the faith. They must be attracted to the systematic thought and severely backward gender relations…”

Clinton spokesperson Jennifer Palmieri agreed: “I imagine they think it is the most socially acceptable politically conservative religion. Their rich friends wouldn’t understand if they become evangelical.”

“Excellent point,” replied Halpin. “They can throw around ‘Thomistic’ thought and ‘subsidiarity’ and sound sophisticated because no one knows what the hell they are talking about.”

What the pair is mocking here are both the faith decisions of the Murdoch family and traditional Catholic beliefs and social teaching.

This is a pristine example of the anti-Catholicism that historian Arthur Schlesinger Sr., called “the deepest-held bias in the history of the American people.”

In another email in this latest document dump from WikiLeaks, writes Ben Wolfgang of The Washington Times, Podesta and Neera Tanden, the president of the Center for American Progress, mocked the Miss America pageant, because so many finalists are Southern girls and young women.

Said Podesta, “Do you think it’s weird that of the 15 finalists in the Miss America, 10 came from the 11 states of the CSA?”

The CSA would be the Confederate States of America.

“Not at all,” says Tanden, “I would imagine the only people who watch it are from the confederacy and by now they know that so they’ve rigged the thing in their honor.”

In another email, Podesta himself uses the sort of language liberals once said disqualified Nixon from staying on as president — regarding former Governor Bill Richardson. Podesta refers to him and other Hispanics whom he is trying to court for Clinton as “needy Latinos.”

What these emails reveal is the sneering contempt of liberal elites for Catholics, Evangelical Christians, Southerners, and even Hispanics loyal to them. And the contents of these emails correlate with the revealed bigotries of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

In September, Clinton told a gathering of rich contributors at a gay rights fundraiser in New York City:

“[Y]ou could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the ‘basket of deplorables.’ Right? The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic — you name it.”

Responding to the cheers and laughter, Clinton went on, “Now, some of those folks — they are irredeemable, but thankfully they are not America.”

What Clinton said to the LGBT partisans echoed what Obama told rich contributors in San Francisco in 2008, who wondered why he was not doing better in Pennsylvania.

“You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and … the jobs have been gone now for 25 years. … And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

Obama was saying that when small-town Pennsylvanians fall behind, they blame others and revert to their bibles, bigotries and guns.

Yet Obama has never explained what caused him to sit content for 20 years — and be married and have his daughters baptized — in the church of a ranting racist like Rev. Jeremiah Wright, who, at the time of 9/11, roared from his pulpit “God Damn America!”

What so attracted Barack Obama to Rev. Wright’s bigotry?

These latest emails confirm what we already knew.

Our elites, who are forever charging others with “racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia,” are steeped in their own bigotries — toward Southerners, conservatives, Middle Americans, Evangelical Christians, and traditionalist Catholics — the “irredeemables.”

Though the election is still a month off, the campaign of 2016 has already done irreparable damage to the American establishment.

Its roots in the nation it purports to lead have been attenuated if not severed. It has shown the world a portrait of American democracy at its apex that approaches the repellent.

Through the savagery of its attacks on those who have risen up against it, the establishment has stripped itself of all claim to be the moral leader of American society. Its moral authority is gone.

Even if Clinton wins, it can no longer credibly speak for America.

As for the national press corps — the Fourth Estate — it has been compromised, its credibility crippled, as some of the greatest of the press institutions have nakedly shilled for the regime candidate, while others have been exposed as propagandists or corrupt collaborators posturing as objective reporters.

What institution in America today, besides the military, enjoys national respect? And if people do not respect the regime, if they believe it acts in its own cold interest rather than the nation’s, why should they respect or follow its leadership?

We have entered uncharted waters.

Wikileaks confirmed that Ecuador cut off Assange's internet access Saturday, 5pm GMT, shortly after publication of Clinton's Goldman Sachs speeches.

It seems that the Obama administration's efforts to save the presidential candidacy of Hillary Clinton is finally starting to yield tangible results as WikiLeaks just provided the following update that Julian Assange was cut off from using the Internet at the Ecuadorian embassy in London effective Saturday evening.

Clearly the lack of internet for Assange hasn't slowed the release of Hillary's emails as Part 9 of the Podesta emails were released yesterday and Part 10 was just released a few hours ago.

That said, one has to wonder what this means for the future of Assange as clearly the Obama administration has applied sufficient pressure on the Ecuadorian government such that they have started to cave on their support of him. Perhaps we should be checking flight logs for mysterious planes landing in Quito with billions of Swiss Francs on board.

Of course, this comes just a few days after the Obama administration announced overt plans to escalate a cyber war with Russian over allegations they were behind the hacking of Hillary's private email server. In fact, we recently questioned what this escalation from the U.S. would mean for Julian Assange and it looks like we now have our answer.

"The world's bishops are called to be servants and shepherds who use their position to care for people and the faith, not to seek power and boost their pride, Pope Francis said.

The church has no place for men with a "worldly mentality" who are seeking a career, he said at his weekly general audience Wednesday in St. Peter's Square.

"It's sad when you see a man who seeks this office and who does so much to get there and when he makes it, he doesn't serve, but struts like a peacock, living only for his own vanity," the pope said."

"There must be no place in the church for the worldly mentality," the mindset where men are seeking an "ecclesiastical career," he said.

"No, the church must not be a place for this mentality," he said. "The episcopacy is a service, not an honor to show off."

Praise God for those who do speak up with the unpopular condemnation of this demonic attack. I will continue to rant against this but I believe that only God in His untouchable power can shake any semblance of a conscience out of our world. It is still shocking and disheartening.

Just a few mistakes made by the well intentioned I suppose but not so minor for the poor Haitians. Wasn't Cheryl Mills given immunity by the FBI over the private server issue. I think I read that the FBI destroyed her laptop too.

Does anyone know whether Podesta & Co have dealings with the Church's relief agencies overseas? I know that some of them had experience with Church social services in the US but would they have any say in how the Church spends relief money in somewhere like Haiti? That's a genuine question.

Aid to the Church in Need would have been my first choice before the leaks showed links between the Church and the Soros Foundation, so I decided to check out alternatives. I made a small donation to Mary's Meals which another forum member recommended and I think that they co-operate with Catholic Relief Services. Given how people like Fr. Beck are defending Podesta and friends, and given these people's links to the Soros Foundation, I would be concerned that the likes of them would have a say in how money from Catholic charities is allocated in developing countries.

 

Thanks for that. Of course, Assange is in the Ecuadorian embassy. I had the Bolivians as sheltering him. Maybe they are worried about the banks leaning on them.

 

I saw something that had to do with cutting trade or the like. Since the Dems keep blaming Russia for the leaks and Biden announcing plans to get even by some kind of Cyber attack......well....

 

I just finished watching the first video that he released.....wow. Not surprised at all....but to get the proof on video the way he did is just something else. Thank you God for this good and courageous man! Hope he stays safe....they are vindictive and will retaliate if they can. Pray for him!

 

Agree completely. Looks like CRS (catholic relief services) could be right up their ally. I'd never give CRS a dime. I just cut back my Sunday donation and give directly to the charities I trust. Folks have no idea what's been going on with church funds.

 

I think I'm safe enough with Mary's Meals because they concentrate on providing food to the hungry.

In addition to the arrhythmia and leaking heart valve, Hillary suffers from chronic low blood pressure, insufficient blood flow, a tendency to form life-threatening blood clots, and troubling side effects from her medications.

Hillary has suffered at least five fainting spells that the public is aware of, including the most recent one at the 15th anniversary memorial service of 9/11.

In addition, there have been many other incidents of fainting that have been hidden from the public.

For example, after her 11-hour testimony before the Trey Gowdy Benghazi committee, Hillary swooned as she walked to her waiting Secret Service SUV and had to be carried into the back seat by her aides.

Among Hillary’s friends, it is common knowledge that she suffers from tension headaches, sits with her feet elevated, nods off to sleep while studying her speeches, gets dizzy and has frequently stumbled and fallen at her home in Chappaqua. She asks her closest aide, Huma Abedin, to rub her shoulders and bring her cold compresses for her neck and forehead.

“Huma always kneels down, whispers to her, rubs her shoulders, and comforts her,” said one of Hillary’s closest friends. “Huma seems genuinely alarmed at her condition, and looks agonized as well.

“Hillary also has a masseuse on call to work on her legs, which give her almost constant pain,” this friend continued. “It reminds me of what I read about Jack Kennedy’s constant back problems and how they were always hidden from the public.

“Hillary’s campaign people are well aware of her problem and are doing everything possible to make her schedule as easy as possible, but it’s hard to run for president and not work hard and spend a lot of time on your feet and constantly get photographed.

“Hillary believes that for the most part the press has been very considerate, withholding the worst pictures of her, particularly the ones of her looking like she is in agony, or worse, simply confused. I’m convinced that if it was up to Bill, he would have shut down the campaign a long time ago. But Hillary would rather die than do that. I think it is fair to say that the biggest issue behind the scenes with the campaign is Hillary’s health.”

The presidency is the most stressful job in the world, and the physical condition of those who aspire to the office is of vital importance.

So the question arises: Do Hillary’s health problems make her unfit to be president?

Only an independent panel of doctors, who examine her and are given access to all of her medical records, can answer that question.

 

Thought this was interesting in light of how the war that Natan mentioned from what he was told during his NDE would get started.....the terms used in interviewing him about his NDE and what would be the spark for the war where nations would attack Israel while other attacks would take place elsewhere was a "security breach" of some kind...and that Obama (whom he was told was Gog) would instigate that:

CIA reportedly preparing major cyber assault against Russia in wake of hack attacks

The Central Intelligence Agency reportedly is preparing a major cyber attack against Russia in response to the theft of records from the Democratic National Committee and its affiliates, allegedly by Moscow-backed hackers.

Vice President Joe Biden told NBC News, which first reported that the Obama administration was considering retaliatory measures, that the U.S. would be "sending a message" to Russian President Vladimir Putin. Biden added that any cyber action would come "at the time of our choosing, and under the circumstances that will have the greatest impact."

NBC also reported that intelligence officials have been asked to present the White House with ideas for a "clandestine" cyber operation designed to "embarrass" the Kremlin.

"We've always hesitated to use a lot of stuff we've had, but that's a political decision," a former CIA officer told NBC. "If someone has decided, `We've had enough of the Russians,' there is a lot we can do."

..........A statement from the Department of Homeland Security and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence said that recent disclosures of alleged hacked emails on websites like DCLeaks.com and WikiLeaks, and by the Guccifer 2.0 online persona, are consistent with the methods and motivations of efforts directed by Russia.

.........."Hysteria started over the [allegation] that this is in the interests of Russia,” Putin added, according to the Interfax news agency. “But nothing in it is in the interests of Russia, while the hysteria is merely caused by the fact that somebody needs to divert the attention of the American people from the essence of what was exposed by the hackers."

ABC radio news today complained about Donald Trump stating the election will be rigged, all the while they're totally in Hill's pocket! Don't they realize America knows they are and the rest of the media too. Rigged, yes in a big part by them, their announcement made me laugh.

 

I'm getting to where I just avoid turning on the local or national news anymore. I can find the weather on my smart phone, obituaries I may need to know about on the internet, etc. I am so sick of the whole thing! The only thing I know for sure is that I would be in mortal sin to vote for Hillary and her pro death agenda. So I know for sure I cannot vote for her, and I will step up and vote Republican party (whoever it is!) in the hopes that we can at least get some Christian values back into the Supreme Court. That is all I can do. In prayer the other day the Lord said something to me that put things in perspective. He said "Can a mouse change the world? Can it even clean your house for you? And would you expect it to???" I said "of course not!" and He reminded me that to love Him and be loved by Him was all that was expected, and if I had a tiny part in this world, to do each tiny thing (like vote) out of love for Him.
