Padraig, Since I posted that question I have been reading Charlie's website and I do see that you are correct, it believes that apparition to be authentic. Thank you for answering.

Ah good I was a little surprised.

  3. Yes, you're right. Charlie does not believe that the Warning/Illumination of conscience will occur as stated both in Garabandal or even as St. Faustina herself has described. They (as well as most mystics of history) just didn't get their personal interpretation of things right don't cha know! It would seem rather that we will somehow just muddle through a purification of the likes described often as eliminating something like 2/3 of the world's population and come out kinda like the early Christians, helping one another and rebuilding...or something.

Well, since this new era will be the Era of the Divine Will....different from and better than even the original Garden where the sun won't have to give its light since this will be a supernatural "world" with the preternatural gifts and a light like no other....from God Himself, such types of analyses or personal opinions just don't measure up to what is to be the fulfillment of God's original will for mankind finally being fulfilled as prayed for in the Our Father, never changing from the time He created man. It's not just the human will alone that will save us but it's having consecrated our hearts to the Immaculate Heart for protection. For those living the Consecration or even the devotion to Divine Mercy (only other prayer besides the Our Father given by Christ Himself), honoring this image with miracles occurring through the heart of this image, they will be protected as occurred during the Passover. If your concept of this coming era is measured by what you know now you are far from grasping what this future type of living will be like since it will be beyond current human understanding. We've actually had 100 years where we could easily have experienced "the rescue" by the Immaculate Heart if only we (and esp. the Church) had complied with Mary's requests. Now it will take just that kind of Warning where we witness ourselves as God sees us as described by Garabandal and St. Faustina as well as others in Church history to move the world to answer those requests and "finally" be able to receive the many graces which our Mother has been longing to give during all these years of our disobedience.

Bring on that Warning. We need it. I saw that Thurs 13th April 2017 looks like a fair bet.

Like me, Charlie sticks with what he knows and he is accustomed to being misquoted about what he has said. I hope I am not guilty of this here. In my books Charlie is ok. He is one of the good guys. I can confirm that Charlie does believe in some aspects of Garabandal but the way he sees it pan out differs from that passed on by the seers and the beliefs of traditional Garabandalists. As ever the messages are more important than any thing else but faith in everything else will find ultimate confirmation in fulfilment according to reliable witness. To believe otherwise would be akin to me saying Charlie's messages are true in general but not quite right and that people should believe other than what has been revealed to Charlie. Can we really have it both ways? I think not. We cannot cherry pick unless we are picking another variety from another tree. Why is it important to see what is right? The only reason is that it is a question of truth and where truth is questioned the Heavens are involved. They are not pleased when they are misrepresented so fulfilment of the prophesies will put the record straight. What has been revealed to Charlie is different to what has been revealed to me but in some mysterious way I do not feel it makes his witness unreliable. In fact, his latest comment bears testimony that is wonderfully sound. In theTruth, Our Lady is given due honour. The authenticity of the messages of Garandalb do not rely solely on witness but on the credibility of the source, the Blessed Mother. If we believe in Garabandal we believe in the words as they were given. We believe in Mary when we keep to Her word. If the words that are passed on to us through the seers of Garabandal are not Hers we will be corrected. If they are, we will gain an infinitely greater trust in the Way of Faith promoted by the Church, the Angels and Saints and Our Lady throughout ages. The prophesies given from Garabandal are very specific about the hard times ahead; Communism, Russia, persecution and suppression of religion and the severity and sudden and unexpected nature of the events whose worst point will herald the Warning. They are also very specific about the timing of the miracle, the circumstances that indicate their proximity and the permanent sign and the miracle of Fr Andreu. These will be a true test of truth. Joey, by the way, was promised that he would have new eyes on the day of the miracle not that he would be here to have his sight restored on that day. His reward was infinitely greater than that. I have no doubts about Garabandal. What Charlie and I agree on totally is that this is the age of Mary as the one appointed to save us from the calamities ahead. Mary will lead the rescue. And in my view She should no longer be known as just Mary but accredited with the role she has been given with the titles she requested in Amsterdam in 1945; Lady of All Nations, Mother of All Peoples, Co-redemptrix, Mediatrix and Advocate in line with the level of command conferred on Her by Heaven. There is no greater title than Mother of God but these other titles are colours on the ribbons of honour that she carries into battle on our behalf. They serve to identify Her rank and increase trust in Her leadership. Lord help us to stay close to your Mother and ours in the thick of conflict just as She stayed close and ever closer to you on Calvary. If you look over your shoulder in the thick of it I am sure you will see Charlie beside Mary and if you are very lucky you may even see his Angel. (y):) Close by there also may a wee fighting Irishman swinging his shillelagh.

For those of you agonizing over your children and families, pick up the little blue Pieta Prayer Book and read pages 60-61. This will give you great comfort at the promises Jesus made if you recite two Our Fathers, Two Hail Marys, and two Glory Be to the Fathers every day for three years in honor of the drops of blood He lost on His way to Calvary. I say five every day and have for almost twenty years. I also am in agreement with Charlie and started having internal nudgings that we were heading into a storm around the year 2000. We are certainly in the storm now! I am trying to be a good steward of my faith and his messages give me hope.

Another prayer for parents: through Don Gobbi, Our Lady promised to look after the children whose parents prayed the Rosary and suggested adding this short prayer: "With this Rosary I bind all my children to the Immaculate Heart of Mary."

There is a wonderful remedy for fear.....the sacrament of Reconciliation. In fact, this is the perfect time to go to confession and bring your fears and sins to Our Lord. I just know that on Mercy Sunday, God will give us the graces to meet these challenges with a new courage that we have not possessed before. He gives us what we need WHEN we need it.

We would not be human if we weren't afraid of what was to come. After watching the news, which I should have given up for Lent, I'm either angry or scared. The only thing that restores my peace is the sacrament where Christ listens to me and speaks words I actually hear.......for sure. There is an unnatural joy that follows, each and every time.

And if you want a huge basket of graces, try a lifetime confession. It takes time to prepare for this but the Holy Spirit will prod your memory. And as one priest told me after a long, difficult, and very humbling confession, "Boom! You are newly baptized!" Even the annoyed looks of the other penitents couldn't wipe the smile off of my face.

    Hi Padraig,

I did not intend this as a back swing against people who are generously preparing now to help others in need - which has always been my definition of refuge. People working together. But I have become more aware of some people making extravagant claims that angels will guide the good of the earth to safe havens where they will be untouched by the Storm, where angels will minister to them constantly, where the deer will drop dead right in front of them for food, where they really have to do nothing except wait for the angels and saints to make their lives comfortable.

This is a horrible distortion and abuse of what an authentic refuge would be - a place where people work together to build each other up in community, a place to serve each other with love, not to be served. As I have listened to this distortion, it strikes me as little more than a Catholic iteration of the doctrine some Protestants embrace of a Rapture.

I will continue to visit and encourage those refuges that some are working on to help little communities of Christians to work together and build up the Kingdom. But I am insistent that the Storm comes to all - and that we are all called to weather it by love of God and for each other.

Yes, I understand Charlie. Sadly good things can be corrupted. I am afarid none of us will sit this one out.

They will find this out themselves.

It is Human Nature, I suppose, that we always have a "spectrum" with extremes at each end. In our discussion here we speak of those at one end who believe that they can watch The Storm on TV unfold from their easy chairs and collect the "Care Package" delivered on the doorstep by their Guardian Angel every morn. At the other extreme we have those building fortified bunkers filled with freeze dried grub-n-ammo. Sooo...!? Somewhere in a happy middle as dictated by our Faith, means, common sense of mind/history and current events/situation is where we ought to be ... methinks!?
I say again that God seems to work with Human Hands for the most part with very few "Manna from Heaven Events" or intervention/protection by Angels with flaming swords. Man has always survived by banding together with like minded kin-n-neighbors. I'm betting the odds are same-same in this Storm?
I don't buy the Rapture idea but .... I've asked the Lord to remember me as a friend of His if He chooses to go that route

GOD SAVE ALL HERE!! ...... & Happy Divine Mercy Day :)

Are you hedging your bets CrewDog? There won't be any rapture, and I'm not counting on any fireworks from Heaven until the Lord appears. The early Christians are our example for hard times/persecution, and it's much as you suggest - banding together, fortifying each other in faith, sharing our resources and being kind to strangers. The resources might have changed over the past 2000 years but the message remains the same.

Love it, CrewDog! I have said before that you remind me sometimes of General LaHire, St. Joan of Arc's tough and earthy comrade-in-arms. He tried to be more prayerfully respectful because he so admired St. Joan. When she asked him to say a sincere prayer, he is reported to have said, to her amusement:

"May God do for La Hire what God would have La Hire do for Him if God were La Hire and La Hire were God."

Your comment reminded me of this.

Charlie, I wish I had taken the time to become more familiar with your website before I had posted that very naïve question. I apologize.
I want to add that my question was not meant to discredit Charlie or Garbandal but I was naively hoping that God would give us a complete road map to the future events. I really do know better than that but my brain keeps asking questions about how the various prophecies fit together and what is truly meant by when things are at their worst. I do keep praying but the questions keep popping back into my head.

Not to worry, Carol. I can pretty easily tell when someone is familiar with my site and when they are shooting a little from the hip. You were kind enough to actually get up to snuff after the initial question - and I appreciate that. It speaks well of you.

  19. Apologies to Charlie if I have got this wrong, my understanding in the little reading I have done is that the rescue will come late in 2017, and we are in mid storm at present.
My question is; are there refuges in place at the moment and if so, where?
