This might not be welcome at the board for being a "hard rock" song, so I'll understand if Moderators remove it on that basis. It has a Christian-like tone and message, is a favorite of mine:

Edge of the world by Iona, a band I listened to a lot over the years and saw live a few times. A wonderful Celtic / Christian band, unfortunately they broke up a few years ago. This song came to mind and thought I'd share it here.

This song came to mind earlier today. "You" probably know it from Tommy James' "Christian of the World" 1971 album (I well recall it as a little kid).

I went to listen via Youtube and discovered that R.E.M. covered it in 1999. :)

Yes, it's a secular song, but very upbeat and cheering. I hope Mods/Admin don't mind:

    O Magnum Mysterium—
    Latin text
    O magnum mysterium,
    et admirabile sacramentum,
    ut animalia viderent Dominum natum,
    iacentem in praesepio!
    Beata Virgo, cujus viscera
    meruerunt portare
    Dominum Iesum Christum.
    Alleluia!
    English translation
    O great mystery,
    and wonderful sacrament,
that animals should see the newborn Lord,
    lying in a manger!
Blessed is the virgin whose womb
    was worthy to bear
    the Lord, Jesus Christ.
    Alleluia!

I love Eastern Chant, those deep voices.

Did you ever listen to Mozarabic Chant?

Written for Paul's mother, Mary, but it's for Our Mother too (imo).
