For anyone interested in how to build your immune system I follow a Dr. on youtube and found very useful information.

Also, for sore throats green tea, herbal teas, warm liquids. This new virus does not like warm things.

That's good to know. Thank you.

Meanwhile, I'm craving sweets like crazy. Must cut down!

p.s. - I've got a whole pack of Earl Grey tea in the cupboard, aside from ground coffee. I hate tea, but will make an exception.

I posted on another thread you can get Hawthorn tea from Amazon, it comes in a blend. To make your own tea, dehydrate the leaves. Do not bake, that will kill the nutrients. I think zinc is good for combatting virus'. I use Zicam when I get a cold. And don't forget good ole chicken soup.

Oh, a teaspoon of raw honey in tea makes it taste good. And raw tea is a natural antibiotic . . .

I'd thrown out an old box of Earl Grey tea some time ago (tidying up). We don't drink tea (except occasional iced). So I was kicking myself for having disposed of that box of Earl Grey.

Well lo and behold, awhile back my husband bought a box of Lipton 100 tea bags (for iced). So we will start drinking it hot.

Unfortunately no honey in the pantry, but we won't go to buy some (COVID-19 now in our county).

Manuka honey is very good, though a little bit expensive.

I have raw unfiltered local honey. Manuka was a little too expensive.
How are you doing Sanctus? It's good to see your post.

Can I share two mystical, spiritual experiences I've had in my life that are nutrition related? The first was back in the early 1990's. It was Holy Week and I have always been in the choir. On Tuesday of that week I came down with a really bad sore throat, and I didn't want to miss singing on Holy Thursday, our choir was very small. So one person missing left a big hole in the choir. I felt so terrible, I just went over to the couch and laid down and said "God, what am I going to do?" I closed my eyes and heard a voice in the room say "chicken soup". It startled me. My eyes popped open and I thought, did I really just hear that???? Am I losing my mind or something? And then I thought, hmmmm, I should probably act on that. So I got up from the couch, scrambled through the cupboards and found some cubed chicken boullion. I made a cup of it and just started sipping it all the rest of the day. Next morning, my sore throat was gone! I was amazed . . .and grateful. I started telling anyone with a sore throat after that, "Chicken soup, trust me, I know it works!"
The second experience was at the Carmelite Monastery in upper Michigan. This was about four years ago. I had a bad canker sore on the inside of my mouth, it was driving me crazy, very painful. A man and woman showed up at the Secular's meeting and I happened to mention to them about my ailment. The man said take two drops of oil of oregano, put it under your tongue and hold it there for about a minute, then spit it out. He went on and on about how great it was. So when I got home I got a bottle, tried it and the next day, I was cured! And I wanted to thank him for the advice, never saw him at another meeting after that. I wonder if that was an Angel encounter . . .But I keep that on hand and read online it is the best thing for sore throats, even strep throat to gargle with it. So, just throwing those two things out there for you to ponder in these trying times.

HI AED. Thanks, given the current situation I'm not doing too bad, thank God. How are you?

I'm good. Sheltering in place as they say. Lots of time for prayer. :)
