Fr. Michel Rodrigue ... Bishop's response

Julia Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.

I found Padraigs testimony on an old catholic site I used to visit and saved it. I think it needs to be posted in more than one part. Here is Part 1 of 3.
    Padraig Caughey's. AWESOME TESTIMONY.

"In 1981, when I was 26 years old, I, Padraig Caughey was captured by the British Army and thrown into Crumlin Road Jail, Belfast, in the North of Ireland. At the time I was extremely bitter and full of hate, not believing in God at all and very angry at the Catholic Church, which I considered to be pro-British."

"The years of rage and violence during the ‘troubles’ had taken their toll on me and I was increasingly suicidal. The only thing that stopped me from killing myself at once was the knowledge that it would bring great pain to my family.

"One night as I entered my cell I found a newspaper photo of Padre Pio bearing his stigmata lying on the floor. I don’t know how it got there, as neither myself or my cellmate were believers.

Anyway as I looked at the marks of the Passion on Padre Pio’s hands I thought, ‘The old man did it with a screwdriver!’ But I wondered how he had never gotten blood poisoning and had not been caught cheating over such a long life.

"That night as I was going to sleep I said in despair, 'Padre Pio, go to God, ask Him to prove to me He really exists in the space of one Hail Mary, for if He doesn’t, I will know for certain that He does not exist and I can go ahead and...'
"As soon as I said ‘Hail Mary,’ my eyes flooded with rivers of tears, for there standing at the end of the bed in great glory was the Mother of God herself. Extraordinary holiness, and beauty, and majesty, and motherliness and love and kindness; indescribable!!

"She said, ‘Now you believe.' I could only nod and say, ‘Yes, I believe.’ Then she said, ‘Faith without love is vain. You must forgive; do you forgive?

"Then I saw before me picture forms of all who I had hated, while Mary’s voice gently kept asking me, ‘Do you forgive, do you forgive, do you forgive, ...’ as each one passed before me.
She then said, ‘Now is there anyone, anyone at all, to whom you bear hatred?’

"There was no one; I forgave them all; it was as though the weight of the universe was lifted from my soul.

"For the first time Mary smiled, 'Now you have faith and now you loved; now you must pray, for prayer is the food of faith. Pray, pray the Rosary,' and she held a set of beads towards me.

"But I was embarrassed and said, ‘I am sorry I have forgotten how to say them.' Then Mary said with great firmness, ‘I myself will teach you!' And she was gone.

Well anyway I cannot tell the joy I felt; it was as though I was reborn. I found it hard to say the rosary at first but then I came to love it. Eventually I ended up saying it all the time, the way Mary taught it was not at all as we prayed it as a child. It was slow and thoughtful.

Padraig Caughey's. AWESOME TESTIMONY Part 2 of 3

When in prison I wrote to my old Spiritual Director. Father Bernard and after leaving prison I went down to see him. He said that I had entered contemplative prayer and recommended that I enter a Monastery, which I did for a period of three and a half years. My prayer life there was intense, following the path that Our Lady had shown me. But to-wards the end of my time there I was thrown into a period of great inner darkness. It was as though God; who had come to mean everything to me had fled. This left me wondering if I had done something to offend God, or if I was imagining things, or if I was going mad.

Fortunately Father Bernard explained that this was the Dark Night of the Soul which lasted for a period of some four years. My prayer life deepened in great darkness. Eventually the Dark Night did not "end"; better to say that it became luminescent.

Anyway I went back to my usual trade of taxi driving. At the same time doing a degree in Psychology and diplomas in counselling.

Today I still drive taxi. My love for God and His Mother is deeper than ever. But it has changed profoundly

But still I often revisit, in my heart that night in prison many years ago, when Mary visited me. And my heart takes fire!

I believe that there is a veil between this side and the next. Most of us go through life happily enough without truly ever seeing the veil torn or lifted, happy enough to see the glories of heaven through the eyes of faith. This is fair enough since as Christ Himself says, happy are those who have seen and believe yet even more happy are those who have not seen and believe.

A wide variety of experiences may, however lift or tear this veil of faith, sometimes forever and permit us to see or glimpse with startled eyes the glory and the terrors that lurk beyond. Experiences such as grave sickness, intense suffering and near death experiences may be the roads to high graces in prayer, a vision of eternity, sudden revelation...

In fact I suspect that there are few who have not seen beyond the veil on more than one occasion even if they do not realise it, for we are surrounded as Saint Paul says with a great crowd of witnesses on every side and our poor Earth shivers and shakes with the glory of God. It is, simply that our western, scientific and materialistic culture has very little place for the mystical vision. We are afraid of being laughed at or derided. So even if we see, we see not, ...afraid of the consequences of sharing our vision with others.

I would like to share a few things I have seen behind the veil in the twenty odd years since I saw the Mother of God in great glory in my prison cell. These are simply personal insights, I share them simply as a brother in Christ, they are not public revelations nor do I think the good God intended them to be. But time grows short. The spiritual battle around us grows daily more intense and if I can help even one sister or brother by sharing these lifting's of the veil I am very glad to do so.

I had a dream. I rose in spirit from my bed far high into the starry night and looked down over my home City of Belfast, the tiny lights glimmering below. I heard a huge sound like a mighty explosion but as though the very ground itself was torn asunder from the very bowels of the earth. I looked up the Lough towards the sea. A great darkness rushed towards the city. Below me the lights winked out. A mighty wave had submerged the city.

The city vision fades. I now stand in a great Basilica crowded with people. High in the apse I see what I take to be a beautiful mosaic of Our Lady with the child Jesus in her arms. I float high up the Church and stand before Our Lady who gazes at me sadly. This dream was repeated many times.

Praying from the heart is great, so is confessing from the heart. But it’s not comparable to the Rosary or the Sacrament of Penance. It’s just the way it is. Catholicism is the truth.

Padraig Caughey's. AWESOME TESTIMONY continued Part 3 of 3

In dream I stood in a city street in London. I look up and see what I take to be three stars falling to the earth. Steam rises from the ground, the pavement melts... All around me buildings explode. The heat is intense. All turns white. The dream ends. This dream was repeated many times.

One night as I was lying in bed praying the devil appeared. He seemed to be like a darkish man of middle years. He exuded a great and terrible hate and rage. Though he talked relatively normally his every word seemed a scream, so great was his hate. I realised he had come to kill me. A bolt as though of electricity went through me but it was far worse than this, as though every atom in my being was being individually destroyed, my very soul itself being destroyed. It stopped and an angel, I believe St Michael stood between myself and Satan. The devil said to him,
"Why do you bother with these cattle?", gesturing at me.

Michael raised his hand and they both disappeared. I had this dream once.

Anyway I have a sense of the signs of the times which I wish to share. A very great battle is raging in heaven and upon earth between Our Lady and Satan. Both Mary and Lucifer travel the earth summoning their armies to battle. More and more there is no middle path between good and evil. People must choose sides. There can be no more drifting.

Both Mary and Satan are often loci specific. By that I mean that Satan was actually present with many of his court at Rwanda, at Serbia, at Cambodia and Mary is very often in Jerusalem and Italy.

On the side of Satan he chooses particularly the great ones and powerful of the earth as his own. So powerful has he become that more and more of these poor souls actually know consciously whom they serve and have readily given their souls to him. So they have become dwelling places of devils.

On the other hand Mary has chosen the poor, the unknown, the needy and despised. Each of these, Mary's children and Satan's army, will more and more instantly recognise each other as the tide of battles builds to a crescendo.

The Church is about to endure a vast martyrdom, the greatest in history. Only those who follow Mary faithfully will endure.

The signs of the elect are as follows:

###Devotion to Mary and the Rosary.
A hunger for daily mass and the Eucharist.
An abiding love for the rock of scripture.
A humble and regular reception of the Sacrament of Confession.
A humble obedience to the teachings of the Church.

In the end as the war progresses there will be but one Church and one faith. The world will be wracked by great wars, natural disasters (including an impact from the sky). Scourges of new diseases will afflict mankind. A pope will be martyred a great Pope will arise and declare the last Marian Dogmas. ( I believe this is the Pope about to be elected March 2013 note in brackets by Julia).

    Mary's Immaculate Heart will triumph.

A new age for the Church and the world will dawn, cleansed and restored in holiness and the truth.

(Fatima; 5 First Saturdays devotion to make reparation to Immaculate Heart of Mary for sins and offences.

    ### Holy Mass; Confession; Communion; Rosary and 15 minutes meditation on any mystery of Rosary.)

Even though it was for one soul, the sharing of it has made it a blessing for me and, I would think, for all who read it. Thank you, Julia, for capturing this from the internet, and thank you, Padraig, for your clear witness. God’s Mercy to you and the way Our Lady treated you have warmed my heart. Ave Maria!

Thanks for this. It gives more detail and certainly raises doubt since Fr Rodrigue has said he told his bishop everything.

Furthermore, his Association is lay not religious. Fr Rodrigue said it was divided into three: a part lay, a part for priests, a part religious.

    Thanks. "Etiam electi" indeed.

I have the greatest respect for Fr Essef. He is definitely worth listening to.

I also feel a bit better about being deceived so many times. Saints (like St. Hannibal) and very learned men (like Tertullian and La Grange) and even popes (like Urban VIII who wrote rules for discernment and canonization) have been deceived.

The bishop's letter gives me very great pause about Fr Rodrigue. 99 of 100 mystics are false. Rodrigue and many others could be multiplying because real prophets are about to speak which I believe soon will happen. Diversions.

    God bless.

Either the bishop or Fr Rodrigue has lied.

We ought to side with the bishop and remain obedient. The spirit of disobedience is very strong with mystic chasers. It is the spirit of witchcraft and rebellion as related in 2 Samuel and many have completely given themselves to that spirit. This is warning to those so tempted. I have been there. Our Lady is happy to deliver you especially on this great Feast Day of Hers. I was delivered by her from the demonic deception of MDM exactly one year ago, as well as a friend (the very one who went to several of Rodrigue's talks in May 2019 and posted on his FB, quoted elsewhere here). Many have NO IDEA how dangerous these things are. St Vincent Ferrer said it was the greatest sin in his days. You are warned.

The problem is that 1) Rodrigue claimed he did not support the false prophet Leary but has appeared with him for years. 2) Rodrigue claims his Association is for lay, religious, and priests. His bishop says it is lay only. 3) The bishop learned the messages on CTTK website. There is no parsing to square that aith Fr Rodrigue's statements.

Besides, no one has given testimony of any of the miracles Fr Rodrigue claims. Where is the witness?

The Enemy is very very clever and exceedingly deceptive. I am very smart. The devils are a lot smarter and being smart is ACTUALLY a disadvatage on the whole in these matters. I had been promoting Rodrigue for over a year and a half to my humiliation. Praise God. This has happened so many times to me. I do not understand why. But certainly it is to His glory and my purification.

Now I all the more rely on Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament and take my only refuge in the Two Hearts. I follow for prophecy Our Lady of Fatima and Revelation and Sacred Scripture which is unfolding and outlines what we see.

Complete Trust in Our Lord is most essential as He has taught a dear friend of mine who is a victim soul for these times.

    God bless

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

If you people would ever go to the source for the truth before passing on misinformation that is used to disparage another it would be a happy surprise for this forum! It's the Bishop who should be ashamed of what he inferred to the public about a priest in his diocese, who, btw, has that Bishop's full backing for what did indeed arise from his mystical experiences....and that action belies the Bishop's words. If the Bishop claims or implies that he "knows nothing until recently" then he's either being disingenuous about his real info, attempting to cover himself after years of granting approval of just those requests that came from Fr. R's mystical experiences because suddenly he was confronted about this from a commenter on a blog, believe it or not or he's culpably ignorant and saying otherwise. Fr. R's founding of this RELIGIOUS fraternity dates back to 2011. And it indeed is "religious" but the Bishop implied that Fr. R meant the use of that term to be an order of religious alone that did not include laity at all....as in the Dominican (and others) order of priests. The Dominican laity is separate in the various 3rd orders of women, etc. So, you fell for that implication...what a shame and how unfair you are to imply anything against this good priest. And you seem adamant that the La Fraternité Apostolique Saint Benoît-Joseph Labre does NOT include priests, religious and only laity. Well, would it be all that difficult to source out the facts before parroting the Bishop who is causing all kinds of flak against one of his own about whom he would like to appear that he is totally ignorant. All of this is outlined on the site of the Fraternity....Les "3" branches.....and all of that is included within the Constitution of which the Bishop has himself approved!!! Go get informed. There are two stories here. And in these times, especially, if people don't believe that Bishops ever protect their own reputation when there is either culpable ignorance or just plain interference w/o care for the subject involved I've got that bridge to sell you.

The Bishop would like you to think he knew nothing about Fr. R's mystical experiences when he instead actually granted permission for Fr. R to stop his responsibilities for the diocese in order to suddenly request to build the 2nd monastery quickly (after the first took longer due to his other responsibilities in the diocese), this year in fact. The founding of the TWO monasteries in order to train priests for these times (you know the times that the Bishop doesn't personally believe in regardless of what the Church itself allows for) came within the messages conveyed in Fr. R's mystical communications. And Fr. R has a history of speaking in Canada when the Bishop implies that Fr. R only spoke in the U.S. so he didn't really have the occasion to know what he was talking about. Doesn't say much about his knowledge of what his own priests are doing or their personal histories. If Fr. R didn't formally submit all of his locutions, etc., in writing, as legalistically implied, then he had not been requested to do so as yet. Very disingenuous again of the Bishop. And if the Bishop's statements about being innocent of everything are to him true then he should not have publicly offered anything prior to his studying and becoming informed, in reply to a blog commenter and to those who also then inquired after that original curiosity. That would have made him w/o the necessary background info and then without what the Church requires prior to making any personal comment that would be taken as some kind of official pronouncement....and yet he says he didn't believe in those "locutions", etc. Did he know or didn't he know about anything?

And yet after all that fuss the Bishop created he still carries on with backing of the beautiful Fraternity, monasteries, and type of training of its priests....again which came themselves from Fr. R's mystical experiences/messages/communications.

Now then.....for anyone who cares to get informed before enjoying such disparaging.

    The priestly branch:

The priests and future priests of the Saint Benedict-Joseph Labres Apostolic Fraternity are chosen and called by the Father to be a blessing for his people......MORE

    The branch of Consecrated Life:

In this branch are found men called to consecrated life who will not be ordained priests.

    The female section:

The female vocations to Consecrated Life in the Fraternity will have their own House and will live according to the charism of the Fraternity in an apostolic collaboration and an intense life of prayer.

    The family branch:

To families and couples of the Brotherhood…

Their witness to their own children, their constancy in the faith lived at home and at work, rekindles the desire to meet Christ. They are the welcoming centers to allow future priests and members of the Fraternity to find the friendly support which strengthens them on the path of Evangelization. They are the domestic church of Christ which recalls the Holy Family of Bethlehem.

Again, all of that was approved by the Bishop himself.....even if his use of "religious" and "lay" have been used to misinform the public , willingly or not, and to make Fr. R appear to be the one who had some ulterior motives, it had obviously that effect of doing so, so the faithful were influenced (as is shown here) to think Fr. R's new Fraternity is only "lay" in the sense most people would assume.....no Priests or Consecrated.

My dear testy brother in Christ, we should always grant deference to the bishop and not impugn ill motives to him. Perhaps he only refers to the lay Association.

I am happy to look at the unapproved mystic's religious order again.

There's still a tangled web of lies to unweave. Someone(s) is not telling the truth. However, on the matter of lay Association, it may well be the case BOTH speak true. So many mystic chasers reveal their spirit of disobedience by incriminating and vilifying the bishop. Why do they give themselves away unprompted? Disobedience ingrained? No good fruit can come of such.

It does not help that CTTK posts disproven messages and condemned mystics and that two members are disobedient to a bishop's directives: the publisher at Queen of Peace to be precise (who has defied orders of the bishop of Pencicola FL) and O'Connor who disseminates works forbidden by the owner and local ordinary -- not to mention another who thinks he is greater than a Doctor of the Church (viz MM). This is a VERY undiscerning, disobedient, and prideful crowd. 1st commandment issues are deadly and usually never recovered from.

Anyways, thanks for the clarification. I will check the alleged mystic's order.

    God bless.

    Curiouser and curiouser.

They have an approval letter on their web page from the bishop dated 6-17-2015. If my French hasn't failed me, it is addressed to students who wish to study at the Institute. Nothing of an order.

    https://www.studiumstjoseph.org/lettre-dapprobation-de-mgr-gilles-lemay/

Update: and down the rabbit hole we go!!
.... Links to the chapters of the Constitution do not work. (I remember trying these last year also. Apparently it wasn't a temporary glitch.)

    https://benoitlabre.org/constitution-1/

Update part DEUX: it really is a rabbit hole. I manually put in chapter two in the broswer Here it is: https://benoitlabre.org/constitution-2/

    Chapter 2

"...It is with special concern that the members of the Apostolic Fraternity of Saint Benedict-Joseph Labre devote themselves to the discernment of presbyteral vocations, to the Christian formation of communities, to the discernment and the exercise of charisms and ministries in the Diocesan church...." They seem not to have an order. Quelle Suprise!!! The bishop didn't lie!! It is for formation of seminarians for the diocese (just as the official decree from the bishop notes -- see first link.)

Can you see why they hid it now? And this was dictated by God the Father?!!

    Uh oh....

    Update 3
I read the Constitution (and saved it just in case). Here you will find linked an official recognition by the bishop of a "Public Association of the Faithful." It is not -- as the bishop truthfully says -- a religious order nor an order of priests. This is the canonical recognition. Again the document is linked on the page here.

    https://www.studiumstjoseph.org/le-monastere-du-coeur-de-jesus/

So .....why would they deliberately hide their Consutution?
