What a lovely statue of Mary with her children! I've always wanted to have a life size statue of Jesus with the little children in His lap. There is one in the Carmelite convent in St. Louis, MO that I used to visit while discerning my vocation. I used to stand before it and imagine my future children crowding around Jesus too (hint: I was called to marriage ). My 8-year-old son takes violin lessons in the parish hall of an SSPX church (we do not attend), and there are lifesize statues of the Holy Family, plus individual Mary and St. Joseph. My 1-year-old son always asks to be carried over to each of them, where he proceeds to "honk" their noses and stroke their faces. Interestingly, it is always St. Joseph that he flings his arms around and lays his head on his shoulder making loving sounds.

What this Lepanto Institute protests is the AUSCP, Association of US Catholic Priests, apparently, a left-leaning organization. 1:40 into the video, Michael Hichborn was definitely front and center yesterday and this is after we prayed they interviewed him. Yes, the leader. Hichborn, seems to be a top honcho at that Lepanto Institute. Good guy, I have reflected and pray how I should feel about all of this. I wanted to make it back today but just couldn't.
