    I'M BACK ........... a Good Verse/Thoughts for Today:

    HeartLight Daily Verse 1 October

    Matthew 5:11-12
Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

    Thoughts on today's verse:
For most who can read this Internet message, the sentiments of this verse seem foreign. But among those who closely study persecution, believers in Christ are enduring perhaps the greatest amount of persecution in the history of Christianity. For those of us who live in cozy places where belief is tolerated and Christians are just considered "unhip" or a bit out of touch, we need to be thankful that our lives make enough of a distinction from our culture to be noticed, even if it's a bit unfavorably. But at the same time, we need to pray for other believers throughout the world who are undergoing the wrath of hell for the faith.

    Prayer:
Great Deliverer, we have many who call on your name with faith in Jesus who face persecution and hardship every day. I pray that they will not lose heart and give up their confidence. I pray that you will bring deliverance from this time of persecution. I pray that their sufferings will be the source of powerful witness so others will come to see the great value of Jesus and our allegiance to him. This I pray in his precious and holy name. Amen. 7. Vanuatu volcano erupts; 11,000 prepare to evacuate

A flotilla of boats was headed to the Pacific island of Ambae, Vanuatu, on Sunday as efforts got underway to evacuate all 11,000 residents because of an erupting volcano.

Globs of lava were seen flying as far as 300 feet every few seconds, vulcanologist Brad Scott told Radio New Zealand.

The eruption has polluted water sources on the island, leaving thousands in need of safe drinking water, Red Cross delegate Joe Cropp told Reuters.

“Water is crucial,” he said. “It's important to get on top of it right away.”

The Vanuatu government announced it wants all 11,000 islanders evacuated by Friday.

  8. It's been sighted as far back as the 50's with the Hubble telescope, first of that type. They needed that type of deep space explorer to discover it. NASA has also studied it although since the many reports in the renowned papers of the 1980's, including science and astronomy, NASA has interfered with further reports....as is known...esp. more recently since their own image via the South Pole Telescope inadvertently got placed on Google sky, soon after to be removed. This has all been discussed previously with links to those stories and papers, magazines. The NASA employee speaks to the Hubble finding, along with the CIA's assistance, back in the 1950's. That too was at one time published. He also says that it is its own system....with "sun" like ours only giving off red dust. Telescopes must be of certain strength and focused on the region of the known orbiting positions....why the latest major infrared telescope was constructed, against all of the difficult conditions for transport of materials there when it could have been constructed elsewhere, in that South region since it is known, practically forever, to be coming up from the South. They're also admittedly focused on the outermost cosmos with the Vatican leased infrared lens at the observatory in Arizona, looking for aliens with an openness of expectation by the Jesuits there and yet no one has much published all of the very "interesting" sightings they've found either. You can find great interest as well as the many amateur images all over the place....if you are interested in anything other than what the main go to sources will permit. It can be seen with alternate light, apparently now more and more (the outermost planet, Nibiru, of the system with the dark/brown star/sun in the center) as it gets closer to our sun which gives it light....why, again, the timing must be on the horizon.....as is interestingly noted by Our Lady of Emmitsburg....."soon you will see two suns on the horizon.....soon after which there will be great changes in nature....." Most of the current reporting and agreement by top astronomers like Michael Brown of Cal Tech (who was an unbeliever prior to just last year) relies upon the study of the outermost planets as well as belts of space junk, like the Kuiper belt, as they are being perturbed by something big. Telescopes have their own individual "pay loads" and they are not focusing on the one region for observation....except for those specifically assigned. Suppose we'll find out more as more "surprises" come suddenly from space, unexpectedly not seen until too late. This is what is also considered proof of that "something" now disturbing normal orbits and causing such "rocks" to be hurdled out into space. An example of that was the meteorite that landed, unexpectedly, in Russia:

About 1,100 injured as meteorite hits Russia with force of atomic bomb

The meteor -- estimated to be about 10 tons and 49 feet wide -- entered the Earth's atmosphere at a hypersonic speed of at least 33,000 mph and shattered into pieces about 18-32 miles above the ground, the Russian Academy of Sciences said in a statement. But even small asteroids pack a tremendous punch, explained Andrew Cheng of the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory.

.....The meteor hit less than a day before Asteroid 2012 DA14 is to make the closest recorded pass of an asteroid to the Earth for a rock of its size -- about 17,150 miles. But the European Space Agency said its experts had determined there was no connection -- just cosmic coincidence.

The shock wave blew in more than 1 million square feet of glass, according to city officials, who said 3,000 buildings in the city were damaged. At one zinc factory, part of the roof collapsed.

......Vladimir Chuprov of Greenpeace Russia said the Russian government has underestimated potential risks of the region. He noted that the meteor struck only 60 miles from the Mayak nuclear storage and disposal facility, which holds dozens of tons of weapons-grade plutonium.

"At the moment, neither we nor the Americans have such technologies" to shoot down meteors or asteroids, he said, according to the Interfax news agency.

Jim Green, NASA's director of planetary science, called the back-to-back celestial events an amazing display.

So, IMHO, it will either be what looks like the beginning of WWIII or a near miss of an asteroid or both that will send all of this civil unrest completely off the charts so to speak...

Catalonia vote chaos in Spain holds lesson for US -- bitterness, division means nobody wins
    By John Moody, Fox News

Spanish riot police removes fences thrown by people to them as they try to prevent people from reaching a voting site at a school assigned to be a polling station by the Catalan government in Barcelona, Spain, Sunday, 1 Oct. 2017. Catalan pro-referendum supporters vowed Saturday to ignore a police ultimatum to leave the schools they are occupying to use in a vote seeking independence from Spain. Barcelona -- Spain held an election Sunday. Nobody won.

Instead, the central government in Madrid and the seething northeastern province of Catalonia can each now claim some dubious moral victory, and dispute each other’s boasts of having accomplished what they set out to do.

For Catalans who had hoped to use 1-O (the first of October) to declare independence from Spain, it was a bitter day of elation turned into frustration. Tens of thousands of them were able to cast ballots, but they will never know just what percentage of their neighbors agree with their desire to form a separate country in Europe.

That’s because the National Police, on the orders of the government in Madrid, stormed some balloting places – schools among other locations – smashed windows to gain entry, confiscated ballot boxes, and refused to let other would-be voters in to make their choice known.

Fortunately, there was no reported loss of life, though more than 300 people are said to have been injured – mostly by club-swinging cops and rubber bullets fired by the National Police to disperse pro-independence protesters. A dozen or so police were also reported injured.

In cities around the rest of Spain, citizens hung the national flag on their balconies and terraces to send a message of unity.

The leader of the independence movement, Carles Puigdemont, declared that just having some voters successfully cast ballots was a victory for his cause. That’s like playing poker against yourself and claiming you were dealt an inside straight.

Of course, the election was not sanctioned by any body outside of Catalonia. And only Catalans were permitted to vote, even though the question of independence affects all of Spain, not to mention Europe itself.

The Spanish government, for its part, could hardly have recognized the results of a regional vote that its own courts had ruled invalid. In cities around the rest of Spain, citizens hung the national flag on their balconies and terraces to send a message of unity. That’s good.

But using armed force to subdue voters will only heighten tensions among Catalans, who correctly grouse that their culture, history and language are not given adequate respect. They also resent that their taxes are going to subsidize other parts of Spain that don’t contribute as much to the economy as they do. They too, have a point.

There’s a lesson in Sunday’s events to the rest of Europe and the world (and perhaps especially the United States). No matter how much you disagree with your neighbor, listen to him or her. There might just be a way to work out your differences without bloodshed. Or even bitterness.

John Moody is Executive Vice President, Executive Editor for Fox News. A former Rome bureau chief for Time magazine, he is the author of four books including "Pope John Paul II : Biography."
