    There were Roman Catholic Churches in Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia left to function - after the soviet "liberation" in 1944.
    The only one totally liquidated Catholic Church was Ukrainian Catholic. In my home city the Roman Catholic Cathedral was always open, even in Stalin's time, and a holy priest from it Father Rafal was serving not only the Roman Catholics but Ukrainian Catholics as well. The Underground Church also existed, but the hierarchy of the Church was all either killed or in Gulag.


    P.S. I have just realized that this is a thread about a new member with that name from St. Petersburg. LOL on me :ROFLMAO:
