I’m glad you are home Miker and will keep you and your wife in my prayers. You are the living face of Lent.
May the Divine healer keep your wife safe in his embrace.. peace to your family. Give it all over to our Lord. Keeping you both in prayer.
Today is the bridal shower for our youngest daughter. She is finally having the Sacrament of Marriage on July 31st in Newry , NI. She was married civilly during Covid and we’ve been asking praying they would marry in Church. Her husband is a good man as well as his family. We hope and pray we will be well Enough to travel to Ireland thus summer to participate at their wedding Mass It’s disappointing for my wife not to be able to be at the shower today. She wrote a beautiful toast that my eldest daughter will read. Sharing it with you here and asking for your continued prayers for my wife and I. And also for our daughter and son in law Good afternoon, everyone. I wish more than anything that I could be here with you all today, celebrating my beautiful daughter, Maryrose, on this special occasion. From the moment she was born, I dreamed of seeing her take this next step—finding a love that fills her heart, building a life filled with joy, and walking forward with faith, hope, and happiness. While I can’t be there in person, my heart is with you all, and I am so grateful to everyone who is surrounding her with love today. Maryrose, you are a gift from God—kind, strong, and full of grace. As you prepare for this next chapter, always remember that love is not just a feeling, but a choice you make every single day. Keep God at the center of your marriage, and He will guide you through every joy and every challenge. Let Him be the foundation on which you build your life together, the third person in your marriage, and a constant source of strength and peace. May today be the start of a lifetime of beautiful memories. Please raise your glasses to my daughter, Maryrose, and to the wonderful life ahead of her! Cheers!
Lovely, heartfelt words of love. Praying you all make it to Ireland for such an important celebration. Your prayers were most assuredly instrumental in making this possible.
You both, and your family, remain in my prayers. Our best friends, the Cunninghams, have a son who was married in Ireland at a castle this past year. Maybe it's contagious!
