Note by Bishop Eugenio Beitia Aldazbal, July 8, 1965

“ We state here that we have not found any reason for ecclesiastical censure with regard to condemning either the doctrine or the spiritual recommendations that have been promulgated because of the events of Garabandal in so far as they are directed to faithful Christians. On the contrary, they contain exhortations to prayer and sacrifice, to Eucharistic worship, to Devotion to our Lady under traditional praiseworthy forms and to the holy fear of God offended by our sins. They simply repeat ordinary Church doctrine in these matters. We recognize the good faith and the religious fervor of the persons who go up to San Sebastian de Garabandal, and who Merit the greatest respect ."

    Santander, July 8,1965

    Eugenio Beitia,
    Apostolic Bishop,
    Administrator of Santander

Mary Loli prayer on trying to be a saint

“Oh Lord! I know you have created me to be a saint. Help me to attain this title and try day by day to be more so, that my life may be a continuous act of love towards you. Lord, when I do not feel You near me, don't permit me to be dejected as I am now. Help me, otherwise I cannot have peace and interior joy.”

People keep submitting names of the “Eucharistic martyrs “ for the Miracle day that don’t qualify.

READ my list BEFORE sending me any name please.

    “MIRACLE DAY MARTYR” CRITERIA

A young male martyr of the Eucharist. (Boy or teen )

Because of the first statement, it is male , not female.

Not being of Spanish heritage. (as per Conchita).

The Miracle is in April, so must the feast day.

Feast day must fall between the 8th-16th.

His feast day will coincide with an Ecclesiastical event in the church.

Since the " Miracle Saint" information came about in 1963, it would have to be the Traditional Latin Mass schedule. The Novus Ordo didn't start until 1965. ( It is possible that his name did not appear on the calendar in 1963,so that complicates things. Saints feast days do move)

IT’S NOT THESE 3 BELOW EITHER.

ST. TARCISIUS ‘ PROBLEM IS MIRACLE DATE IS IN APRIL BETWEEN THE 8TH-16TH,
ST. TARCISIUS FEAST DAYS ARE APRIL 26 & AUGUST 15 , NEITHER FITS .

Several possible problems with St. Hermenegild, who by some accounts was Spanish, and Conchita said the martyr saint was not Spanish. We have no idea how old he was, though he was a grown, married man leading a revolt, so it would not have been clear to her that this was "a young martyr , a boy who carried the Eucharist " and also he does not fit the description Conchita gave after she consulted the calendar in her home.

St. Stanislaus. April 11 is his feast day but he was Bishop of Kracow who was martyred while celebrating Mass 49 YEARS OLD ! Too old.

SO PLEASE CHECK ALL THESE ITEMS OFF BEFORE YOU SUBMIT THEM.

    THANK YOU.

Why the late hour visitations ?

When the children were asked why the Virgin came at such late hours, they answered that the Virgin told them that it was at that time most of the sins of the world were committed and that they should do penance... And for them it was a penance, and not the smallest, to stay up until the Virgin came to visit them, late in the night, or very early in the morning. They performed this penance because the Virgin wanted it and also because they wanted to see her again.

Whole - heartedly agree! “IT IS NECESSARY TO MAKE MANY SACRIFICES, DO MUCH PENANCE, TO VISIT THE BLESSED SACRAMENT, BUT BEFORE THAT WE HAVE TO BE VERY GOOD, AND IF WE DON’T DO THIS THEN A PUNISHMENT WILL COME. THE CUP IS ALREADY FILLING UP AND IF WE DON’T CHANGE THEN A VERY GREAT PUNISHMENT WILL COME UPON US.”

Just imagine if all the time wasted on this "distraction" was spent praying, doing penance and truly making an effort to leading good lives...how many graces would have been bestowed on the world. I pray for all of us, including those of our brothers and sisters in purgatory...Amen

    Glen,

When comparing this forum to the Garabandal Facebook site are users of this forum missing any content that you only post on FB. I get that we miss the actual comments from you and others.. specifically just talking about the content postings.

No difference. I post the same exact post on both pages. The difference is that there is over 92,000 members on the English page , so there are more comments from them.

    "LIVE THE MESSAGES !"
At age 16 Conchita was already was spiritually wise: "There is no point in our believing in the apparitions if we do not heed the message."
(from “Star on the Mountain”, p. 118 )

“It is useless to believe in the apparitions if we don’t fulfill the message; if we don’t comply with what Holy Mother Church says…fulfilling the message, we might as well not believe in the apparitions”

Conchita’s letter to Fr. Alba of Barcelona on Dec.10, 1965 ( from “Conchita’s Diary” (Spanish Ed. Pg. 42 note 47)

Also from “ Garabandal: Message of Hope” pg 178

“To guess at dates regarding the [prophesied] Miracle shows a lack of faith in the Blessed Virgin. Indeed, the energies expended on this are so much better spent on living the Message! “

March 2013 Glenn’s conversation with Conchita
With all of the arguing over which of the different visionary’s is right, predicting dates, the direction of the church, I've learned one thing, it’s all distracting, and detracting from our spiritual goals. The best advice I ever got was from Conchita ( when I asked her about the direction of all these things) ,she talked about what is most important, maintaining your spiritual life, (Confession, penance ,mass, communion, the rosary, the Morning Offering, etc.) and she said :
" I surround myself with good people, pray and don't worry " .
( Sounds like she took the advice of her friend Padre Pio , “ Pray hope and don’t worry”).

This reminded me of my first day in Garabandal when I met a Franciscan in the courtyard outside the church. We got talking but soon he stopped me in my tracks by saying and repeating “You cannot carry the message if you do not live the message.” This hurt my pride so I knew he was right!

I have a similar story about Conchita.
Many decades ago when I started promoting the apparitions, while having a conversation with Conchita, she asked me " Do you do the rosary every day? " I said " well, ...not every day, I'm busy, I have several jobs". She said " Don't promote the messages, unless you are going to live the messages". Wow, that kind of knocked me for a loop, but she's right ! It is amazing that when you make the time to do those things, it seems like there is plenty of time to do them. God is funny that way.

    MARCH 1963:

    CONCHITA'S FIRST LOCUTIONS

Conchita had been suffering a great deal ever since the month of January from not seeing the Blessed Virgin. Because she already knew the date of the Great Miracle, she felt how much one must be able to wait. . . actively. Assailed by the doubts of her entourage, she, too, was beginning to waver . . . when she heard Mary's voice interiorly for the first time telling her: "Have no doubts that my Son will perform the Miracle."

This first of the two locutions that Conchita was to be granted as early as March 1963, gave her "a joy and peace still greater than when saw the Blessed Virgin . . . for then I have Our Lady inside me!," she explained. Fascinated by "this voice of intimate happiness without words," Conchita was henceforth "as certain," as she said, "that the Miracle would come, as 2 and 2 make 4!"

Conchita wrote in her Diary that she preferred locutions rather than apparitions, but still more to receive the Eucharist. She explained that her locutions occurred when she was praying "either in my room, or at the Pines, or again at church."
