I wish God spoke to me that clearly.... I let him lead, if I am to be centered in the mist of chaos then so be it! I have 2 children and I have great faith that they are being watched after by our Lady (matter of fact I am certain). I suspect God will demand allot from all of us soon... Remeber that anxiety and fear are the tricks of Satan...

My new prayer is this: "Blessed mother, help me to keep my mouth to your ear; don't let me miss even one inspiration or admonishment from you."

 

Beware also of discouragement. I believe this is one of JoeJerk's most widely used temptations since, if not resisted, it causes us to focus on ourselves and roadblocks in our life. Rather, look to Jesus, rejoice in the blessings God gives each day, and ask confidently for solutions to problems!

Remaining silent is a difficult discipline to master.

 

Yes buckethead is always planting seeds of fear for negative outcomes for stressful situations in my head and then my imagination takes over from there which leads to fear and anxiety. All his calling cards.

I would get to adoration while it is still available and ask the Holy Spirit what you are to do. Maybe even do a novena to the Holy Spirit for wisdom and faith.

 

Oh! I just had mine within the last couple of months! I've been repeating--"my relationship will never be the same with them...", "They've lied and hurt me one to many times..." Then I mope and kick dirt and cry because I cannot fix it and it will never 'feel ' the same. Then its like a ray of light shines onto the situation and I can 'see' clearly and its shown to me that this is a 'proverbial cutting of the apron strings' which is why it hurts so much. All in all, I am seeing that God is taking the pride and hurt and turning it around and helping me see my part in it and forgiveness comes. Then I hear my spiritual father whisper in my ear, "IN THE LIGHT OF ETERNITY, WHAT DOES IT MATTER?"

perspective is everything! Especially when it comes to EVIL....God always sheds light. Evil always gives despair.

One little tip I have learnt down the years concerning the devil and discouragement and that is sometimes if you step back at a time when you feeling a little low you can actually, 'hear', the devil humming away in your ear his terrible chants. Mine go,

You're a failure, you life is useless, why do you waste your life in this senseless superstition , you can do better than this, get out and enjoy yourself, it is all mumbo jumbo, you're smarter than this, you're wasting your time...and on and on and on...

If I had to give anyone one piece of advice on how to win the Spiritual Battle that is going on all around with great, great, great fierceness it would be this.

The timing of your image could not have been better. After MS7 posted the above link to a celebrated image of a false Hindu goddess in NYC last August 1, you showed the picture below. How unspeakably marvelous is the gift of Jesus whom we adore at the Doxology, and receive in Holy Communion! Not an image at Holy Mass, but the ultimate reality!

I am working on the piece on Islam and what we are called to. Obviously it is meaty, so I am taking extra time as I have on some other important pieces – and not spending much time on other things right now.

Things are speeding up dramatically – and will continue to do so. We need to keep our feet on the ground and act with deliberation, considering all things – but also acting with dispatch.
