Well I see Cardinals cannot be women. I had no idea Cardinals went right back to the early church, though they did not call them Cardinals them. So their is a firm tradition . I know there was a woman placed as head of a Vatican Curial Dept by Pope Benedict ..I will have to look her name up. I think this is a good thing and I hope there are more. I think perhaps one way the Vatican Curia went wrong was it became inward looking and needed fresh air.
I think that we are at cross purposes again. We are not speaking about women in the priesthood but women being involved in governing the Church. Very different.
Her name is Francesca Chaouqui who has been appointed to sort out the financial mess. Not sure how qualified shie is, she has been a 'glamour model' in the past and here is a recent picture of her plus 'partner' that she posted for public consumption. Let's hope that she doesn't get a red hat.
