I am adding you to my prayer intentions. I have a friend in a similar situation, she is in her 40s. It unfortunately is happening more and more these days. I know of several faithful Catholics this has happened to. God bless you.

 

Picadillo, sometimes we can't control our outcomes. Whether it is a misunderstanding with a spouse or a child that has left the faith or got married out of the faith. These are crosses that only God can understand and sometimes only he can bring together what we could not. I can't predict what the tribulation will do to bring together lost loved ones in our life. I am hopeful though that the ones we love most will have their hearts touched by God's grace at some point and all of us will see our loved ones unit in ways that the world could not do for them. I am so grateful that our Lord and his Blessed Mother do not abandon us. Yet, they feel this same abandonment from us their children when we walk from them through sin. I think the thing to do is to not lose hope. Jesus never looses hope for us, so we should not loose hope for those who have left us or our faith. I hate to think that despair could ever darken the hope that our faith brings. Pray, Pray, Pray and let God do the rest.

I was seriously going off to Adoration and saw your post just before I left. I had been very depressed since yesterday, listening to the local talk radio response here in Kansas City, the caller's attack on the Church, attack on the priesthood over the news of Bishop Robert Finn's resignation.

How will they come to the Faith if they do not know it? !!! I am cheered up from what you have shared picadillo.

I love this place, it happens again on this forum. You speak absolutely from the heart. I know we're not suppose to but I envy your cross/crosses. You have to hang in there, loneliness is very, very hard.

Children are a blessing, you followed God, I didn't, I only had two. And, you are doing the same, remaining single. Jesus said, marriage is forever.

I can't even share here what the evil one did to a very holy family I love. We hate you Satan. He never lets up on the priests, the family.

...the fact I was trying to make picadillo, you follow Christ. Your sharing about your life is very touching. My younger sister was married to an alcoholic, they are divorced. She is getting use to, she says, to the cross of being lonesome. She has tried E-Harmony and very cynical now about meeting anyone.

She loves when I remind her, "You know, you can't fornicate?"

 

Jackie I saw your post "We hate you Satan" and it got me wondering. I know we hate evil but does God hate? Or is He so loving and just that He would never force anyone to be with Him in paradise. Sorry to hijack the thread I just really wonder if God hates (you know who ol red legs).

I don't think God hates ol red legs. My earlier comment, I was upset this week because of the evil one's attack on families and the priests. I read today, reminded in the headline article, How Saints Overcome Evil, up at Spiritdaily:

"Abbe Sandreau, an authority on exorcism, wrote in his treatise The Mystical State: “The devil acts on all men by tempting them; no on can escape those attacks; these are his ordinary operations."

I'll go off on another tangent. This is my prayer, I have asked God, please remove, end Hell at the Final Judgment. No more suffering or evil people and evil angels anywhere! I try to find a Scripture verse to justify. All evil is gone, like they had never been.

Is this not Fascism? Unless we agree with Hillary that killing unborn babies is honorable we are not Americans. But she has no problem with ISIS and the like.

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton took a feminist tone on Thursday. She told attendees at the sixth annual Women in The World Summit that “deep seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed” for the sake of giving “access” to women for “reproductive healthcare and safe childbirth.”

“Far too many women are denied access to reproductive healthcare and safe childbirth an laws don’t count for much if they’re not enforced. Rights have to exist in practice—not just on paper,” Clinton said.

She explained, “Laws have to be backed up with resources and political will. And deep seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed. As I have said and as I believe, the advancement of the full participation of women and girls in every aspect of their societies is the great unfinished business of the 21st century and not just for women but for everyone — and not just in far away countries but right here in the United States.”

Clinton also took a shot at Republicans who are opposed to amnesty legislation, saying, “There are those who offer themselves as leaders who would deport mothers working to give their children a better life, rather than risk the ire of talk radio.”

I don't have a link but I heard audio clips of er saying we need a constitutional amendment from Freedom of Religion to freedom of worship.....which means you cant speak out in public.....Lord have Mercy on us!

Hate to have to jump in to a wonderful discussion with a mere theological clarification, but I am afraid I must!

God does hate the devil; as must we all.

Hell will never end, nor will anyone (man or angel) who is in hell ever leave it.

Nothing can ever change either of those facts.
