Strange Visitor

Will pray for this John. Perhaps it's a soul from purgatory asking for prayers?

It could be you are getting spiritually strong. Without knowing you...it real hard to explain.

What's the atmosphere like when it arrives? It looks incredibly sinister. Aren't you scared? Have you spoken to a priest?

It's obviously the grim reaper, have you not seen Darby O'Gill and the Little People?!

Only kidding, as people have said, maybe it is some person from purgatory? In which case maybe you could just say a few prayers at that point, for the soul at the bottom of your bed with the intention that they could go to heaven.

 

If you feel this is 'sinister' then I would audibly ask 'the presence' to leave in the powerful name of Jesus Christ and to leave in the name of Jesus and not to return. Repeat the holy name of Jesus until the presence is gone. Then 'praise Jesus' and 'thank Jesus' for his goodness and mercy.

There is real power in the holy name of Jesus to be praised and glorified forever!

 

Be at peace my friend. You've got the power of Christ within you and around you. You have untold power in Christ, and untold protection with Christ. Not just you but your family also. The LORD is your light and your salvation-- whom shall you fear? Jesus, I trust in you!

God take this soul from Brian's midst for good. We commend this and all other souls into Jesus' hands in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Mother Mary of God intercede for the protection of Brian and grant his mind, body and soul rest and a good sleep this evening and all future evenings. Saint Michael, the Archangel defend and protect Brian, his family and home and all souls from the snares and wickedness of the evil one. Amen!

My son once, when 17 told our priest he and his friend thought there were ghosts or spirits in the attic of my friends house. Our priest told my son to dispel the spirits himself and told him how. He made him understand the power he has in Christ and to not be afraid to envoke this power. I was quite surprised by his confidence in a 17 year old in a matter like this but it reminded me how blessed we are and how the Holy Spirit truely is powerful. He never did attempt it since they stopped visiting that house. Sadly my now 20 year old son is far from God....but that's another story!

 

perhaps a soul from purgatory asking for prayers....the most powerful book I have read "A Manuscript on Purgatory" about a young nun who is visited nightly by a sister who had died and was suffering in purgatory....so powerful to understand the levels the flames and the pain.

 

Jesus told SAINT GEMMA that when she could not distinguish the evil one coming to deceive her......Jesus told her to say BLESSED BE JESUS AND MARY.
If the vision responded with love at the saying of it......then it was a heavenly vision. Also ....I highly suggest Holy Water.....demons hate this. If it persists .....say the rosary for the intention of helping....perhaps it is a poor soul.
Do not engage in talking toit unless it is to ask what it wants. If the reply is for masses or rosaries then itis a poor soul. If it does not answer......and the visitor is still hanging around......then call a priest that has experience blessing houses with this problem.
Stay in a state of grace. Also......we must be very careful in what we allow to go on in our homes such as tv shows movies.....etc. Sadly....our actions can open doors to bad spirits etc......and other in our family can bring in bad spirits etc.

 

I have St. Bendict medals over all entries to my home and in my cars. If evil is with another person, it will not be able to enter my home unless God allows it. I have also read many wonderful miracles associated with hanging the brown scapular on the front door of your home. When all else fails, just start reciting the stations of the cross. It is one of if not the best things to do dispel evil. The damned and Stan can't stand to be reminded of the sorrowful passion and then Triumph of Our Lord the defeated them. They will scatter at the saying of the stations of the cross. I also always wear my brown scapular. Evil will scatter in its presence. It is known that evil spirits that hang around people can see the brown scapular through our clothing and they can't stand to be around it. A close friend of mine actually had an evil woman hiss and retract from him in passing once.

 

Since we are talking about protection. My family plays a lot of sports...the bad news is they leave a lot of half bottles of water. The good news is when i find a half dranken bottle.... i bless and make sign of the cross on my walkways, door entrances, stairs and lawns. I prety much say May God Bless this door or entrance. Its not Holy Water but the intention is there.

A few months ago my Father missed the last step and hit face first into a brick planter. He should have broke teeth and bones. The blessings must of worked because he only got two stiches in the inside of his lip.

So, the moral of this story is...get in the habit of blessing your house. You never know when it will come in handy.

I wouldn't try to converse with it. I believe the situation will resolve itself soon. Trust in Jesus and ask the assistance of St. Joseph.

I think the best deliverance prayer is "Jesus Christ commands you to the foot of the cross where you are defeated!"

Praying the Divine Praises is also a great evil repellent.

Definitely time to get a priest round. That's what I'd do.
How awful. It's one of my greatest fears.... A presence, unfriendly presence, in the house. I remember buying the place I live now, it was forefront in my mind during our first few weeks there.

Oh dear, that must be terrifying for you, John. What I would like suggest.. if you haven't already, is to have a devotion to the Holy Face. and venerate God, like St. Therese did and many other blesseds, saints did.
place the image of the good God in the room that causes you distress.
